I like Horror Stories! From the videos that I've seen there's no bullshit, just facts all condensed in bite-sized videos usually under 10 minutes. Maybe not ideal for people who like longer vids to listen to while they do something else but theres plenty of stuff there to dig through.
I've seen ScareTheatre mentioned a few times and he was one of my faves, though like other posters said he's kinda scraping the bottom of the barrel when he decides to post his monthly upload. His older vids are still good, I liked his Delia Day video but there are much better youtubers to spend your time watching.
I like Lazy Masquerade well enough for his coverage of unsolved murders/disappearances; I follow FactFaction for the same reason. I was and still kind of am an avid watcher of Nexpo's videos though I have to agree with the general consensus here that his channel has taken a downturn as of late.
One channel I found recently that does regular posts and is relatively well narrated is Mr. Creeps. Most of what he covers is CreepyPasta so nothing terribly original, but he has some good style and does pick up some of the more obscure pastas.
Like many here I watch NightMind but he has really become aggravating over 2020 with his smugness. I think the end of Daisy Brown and the fact he has needed to go back to CatGhost over and over really shows the issue with new content that doesn't fit his niche = bad NM videos.

I think the best Night Mind videos were the “I am Sophie” videos and the “Dad” videos only because they are far different than most ARGs he probably can’t get smug over it due to the fact they have a more advanced production value compared to most ARGs
-I really liked Rob Dyke/Gavagan's content and I still occasionally check his channel. His content is still not bad but it's more "basic" then it used to be and it's apparently because YouTube Adpocalypse fucked him over and can't afford to make the same quality videos (mixed with other reasons). I found this comment from him under a video talking about him so if anyone interested in what happened, here you go:
Hi Tori,
Thank you for this video. It’s solid. And I certainly don’t hate you lol. I’ll provide some clarity here. I’ve certainly dropped the ball in many regards. When it comes to making new content, I’ve slowed to a degree I am far less than proud of. This, of course, has to do with my mental state, but also has to do with the fact that every video is a gamble. Will I make a profit on this video? Which needs to happen to run a business, some like to forget. Or will it be demonetized and, still having to pay my people, I now had to just pay hundreds of dollars to upload a video instead of making anything? When it comes to Patreon, I prefer to bring on a fulfillment manager who can manage rewards and whatnot. I’ve had a bit of trouble in this arena and have been working towards getting it back up and running with a new fulfillment manager. I definitely won’t point any fingers or anything. Overall, this falls on me. As it comes to lack of content, that’s obviously on me. I’ve always dealt with depression and anxiety, but since the Adpocalypse, those things have been kicked into overdrive. To make matters worse, around the time the Adpocalypse was on the horizon, I lost two family members who passed away. And that made matters that much worse.
I’ve been going through therapy and I’m medicated, which have both helped me, but at the same time, these things are not a cure. I’ve always equated these things to be tools that help clear your head so you can focus on the real fixes you need to make in your life. That’s the case for some people, anyway.
While suicidal ideation has largely subsided, depression/anxiety attacks are still lingering factors. But I’ve been trying in many ways to work through it. Trying new things. One of those new things is Adderall, which has done a lot for me. It’s allowed me to put all the other bullshit to the side so I can step foot into my office/studio and give my viewers what they want and what they rightfully deserve, especially for all the support they’ve shown me.
The “Rob’s on drugs, everybody!” thing is honestly beyond me. I’ve had accusations of being a heroin addict lobbed at me. Meth addict. You basically name it. Maybe this is a coordinated troll. Don’t know. All I know is that it’s bullshit. Especially the doctor shopping bit. No idea where that ever came from. I think it angers a lot of people that a YouTuber can get paid for going live and just for talking. I mean most YouTubers know that there are people out there who will resent you for making any sort of living from “making stupid videos” anyway. I don’t know if these people tweet Hollywood celebrities, cutting them down for just “acting” and getting paid hundreds of millions of dollars. My best guess of why this hate happens, especially towards YouTubers, is because people in the comments 1) think the job is easy (which, if it is, then you do it, but that leads us to the next point) and 2) they know they could give making a channel a try (maybe they already have and failed) but they lack confidence in themselves to come up with something successful.
Many people conflate lessening the length of another’s rope with increasing the length of their own. A tale as old as time.
Some people just likely get off on the hate and lies they spew. Whatever it may be. That being said, I deserve plenty of criticism. I’ve never wanted my depression and anxiety to act as some kind of shield against criticism. Which is why I don’t delete comments from people leaving genuine criticism. Some people think I do, but I don’t. As for my livestreams being taken down, I do that because it was advised to me by my manager to do so. He explained that YouTube’s algorithm will see that my live videos get less views than my main videos. This is obvious because they’re hours and hours long and not what most people come to my channel for. But YouTube doesn’t differentiate livestreams from regular videos. So their algorithm just sees a video that brought in much less viewership, and so they become less and less likely to show your channel to people who aren’t subscribed so you can experience growth. That’s the bitch of it. If you keep livestreams up, YouTube thinks your channel is doing worse than it actually is, and will stop recommending you to people. Simple as that. So, I take them down.
As for livestreams, I never beg my viewers for anything. I tell them how they can help if they feel so inclined, never to give a dime if they can’t afford it, and to always think of their own financial situations first, and I’ve admitted that I need to make more content to better deserve the incredible viewerbase that I have. With the IRS, I am in fact in hot water with them. I was a sole proprietor the year my channel blew up. The US doesn’t like that. So I got hit with taxes, after all was said and done, crossing into six digits. I thought I’d be able to handle it. Then the Adpocalypse came. And here we are.
So, all this being said, thank you for your kindness. I do appreciate this video. I hope this cleared some things up.
-I used to listen to Corpse Husband's reddit-horror-story reads before he got popular by playong Among Us with other famous youtuber's. I don't have a problem with him, I just got bored of those reddit stories after a while.
-ScareTheater was one of my favorite horror/mysteries themed channel, mainly because his videos are/were rather short but after that "Desmond is Amazing" video I almost gave up on him, it was a genuinely awful take on the situation. I still watch him but just rarely, the content is still the same but his stuff gotten pretty boring since he never changed his videos (his editing was always dull and the narration never gotten better either).
-Make Me Believe was an interesting channel and a really small one (just reached 6k). The editing on the videos was really good but unfortunately he didn't upload in a year. He is still active on Twitter and he's been sperging about Trump a lot lately (but who doesn't do that rn).
-Not long ago, I came across the channel Lady White Rabbit. I haven't seen much of her content yet but so far I like her stuff. Her video on Hisashi Ouchi was pretty interesting, so if you want to watch a video from her I can recommend that one.
-Other have already said ReignBot and Nexpo so I won't waste my time talking about them. I mostly agree with what the people said about them before me.

Yeah, I was waiting for someone to bring up the Desmond Is Amazing video. I liked ScareTheater before that but the way he glossed over obvious child exploitation left a bad taste in my mouth
Maybe it's just all of his videos blurring together, but to me it feels like in every "Disturbing Things From Around The Internet" there's a video of some animal screaming in the distance. But because it's night time and sounds somewhat human, he always crams them in anyways. I don't even need to scroll down anymore to see the comments of 'I live there, (insert animal) screams like this!'. Is it really that hard for him to find genuinely weird things?
A couple weeks ago, Youtube suggested Shrouded Hand to me. I've only watched his videos on real life murders so far but I quite liked them as background noise. His voice is fairly pleasant and from what I can see from some of his other uploads, he also just takes the piss sometimes which is always refreshing to me. I think it's kinda tedious when channels take themselves to serious.
Haven't seen anyone mention Corpse Husband, who also used to be pretty good with his narration. Now he just plays among us with popular faggot streamers
Another good one, but he does lists is Dark 5, there's some good content in there that hasn't been done to death like other channels. Also has a second channel where he goes into some deeper dives on stuff called Dark Docs
Bedtime Stories is a YT channel that does videos about occurrences both definitively grounded in reality but with mysterious circumstances and ones with more paranormal/mythological aspects to them. I really enjoy the narrator and the pacing of the videos, as well as the unique illustrations that help represent what is being talked about. The channel has been around for years and I would highly recommend checking it out.
WARNING - These stories are NOT suitable for younger audiences. Turn off the lights, get into bed and plug in your earphones. It's time for a creepy bedtime ...
To contribute, I second Bedtime Stories. Their coverage and discussion of the Dyatlov Pass incident is the best I've listened to, and they have a good mix of classic mysterious and weird shit I've never heard before.
Listened to Bedtime Stories last night, for a moment despite difference in accents/ voice I thought you all had directed me to Luetin's long lost brother.
Really well done channel and great production. The maps in some of the videos were very helpful in following along e.g.: The Flannan Isle Lighthouse Mystery.
Stephanie Harlowe usually does true crime stories, but she does cover ghost stories and reports of hauntings now and then, she does them for her Harloween shows each year. Surviving Life does some good work on paedo hunting, he's a bit like MamaMax though he can ramble on a bit, he streams so it tends to be that format rather than edited together.
I saw Jim Can't Swim mentioned up thread; there's a couple of channels that do a similar thing that I like as well as him. Matt Orchard does very much the same format, commenting on interrogation tapes, and The Behaviour Panel is a group of body language experts - most of them are ex-military interrogation experts, and there's one guy who teaches public speaking and body language to politicians. He's very interesting when they're analysing interviews of public figures, like the Prince Andrew Newsnight interview, because he can tell what their handlers have taugbt them, or whether the handlers have dropped them entirely.

I found her a few months ago and she's had some pretty solid videos. I like that she takes time to research her true crime videos and even when I don't agree with her take, she advocates for her opinion well and isn't a total twat. I'll second her, especially if you like true crime channels. For a good taste of her more recent stuff try the Shanda Sharer series.
One channel worth checking out if you're into niche weirdness / odd happenings is Rusty West who is just obsessed with people disappearing in National Parks in the States. His narration can be a little off at times but he does generally nice mid-effort videos and tosses in lists of regular new disappearances.
I never really liked Nexpo because he'd always take spoopy videos that were very obviously fake and treat it like it's authenticity is questionable, I think he also made a video at some point about how modern technology and society advancing is scurry for some weird reason and I mean it can be, the idea that so many webcams and cameras are unprotected and easy for weirdos to access is scary but that wasn't his angle. His channel isn't really bad though and I actually liked his new video barring his delivery and victim-narrative, if he cut that and just talked about the crazy bitch going after him and everyone around him then it actually would have been a great video.
I feel like everyone I could recommend has already been mentioned multiple times except for Lady White Rabbit, that woman has god-tier taste when it comes to creepypasta. A big problem I have with creepypasta channels is that they read fucking anything they find regardless of quality, I can't keep up with any of them because I can't make it through the majority of the stories they read but listening though Lady White Rabbit's creepypasta playlist, almost all of the stories she chooses to read are of quality. Now, she occasionally read those retarded cartoon theories about how Ed, Edd n' Eddy takes place in purgatory and other shit but I can't blame her since when she was only reading Creepypasta, her channel's growth was extremely slow and those videos were like the only ones who would get her views and subs. She also makes some pretty sweet mini-documentaries nowadays which is how she pulled in enough subs to make it past 100K. She has a nice voice and she's very wholesome as a person, definitely an extremely underrated channel.
I used to like Nexpo a lot back in the day, but his recent videos have shat the bed pretty hard with how much over dramatization they've got. I really don't like the skits and IRL shit he does, it kinda breaks my suspension of disbelief, or rather my investment in the video by adding this cringy turkish soap opera drama shit.
Im not really that much of a fan of obvious ARGs or imaginary horror, so I prefer channels that stick to weird/creepy things that have actually happened, shit like missing person cases, random disappearances etc. Top Mysteries isn't as bad as the name would have you think, ShroudedHead is alright and I love ReignBot, I don't know why but her voice feels perfect for this type of narration content.
Though not exactly horror, I used to love listening to Dovahbruh. Not sure why but sad and melodramatic stories like the ones he read were always more fun to me than your average spoopy content. Mr Greentexts is pretty good too, and before getting shoah'd Creepswork was the shit.
I miss Dovahbruh and Creepswork so bad, I don't know any other channels who would read feels greentexts as long as Dovah so the niche he fulfilled is now unfilled with him gone. There is a small channel named Sweener who reads stories like Creepswork used to though, has a really long playlist of tard stories and actually has Creepswork as a guest sometimes but he did quit recently due to this kind of content not being welcome on youtube anymore, he said it was difficult to keep up. Oh and Creepswork is still around under the name Ten Bond, he mostly does horror stuff now though.
Her regular videos were great but dipping her toes into horror gaming with the Allison Road demo created an amazing multipurpose lolcalmdown line with the "You need some bread. Or some Benedryl." moment. Hope she's doing a little better out of the YouTube game.
A manlet of many interests by the name of Purplehaze has backed up what looks to be most if not all of her content (165/167 videos in the playlist, two are his feelings) in addition to his own mountains of shitty microvlogs and sperging. The banner image alone makes for comedy in coincidence, but at least he seems to have been pretty devoted to Cayleigh's channel.
I used to watch a ton of Rob Dyke a while back. He used to do videos on serial killers and shit. Dont know what he's been up to lately. Last I heard he changed his name because it kept triggering the jewtube algorithm, lol.
I am fond of GloomyHouse, if you don’t mind listening to someone who sounds like a young Peter Lorre, and Dark 5
is also decent.
As far as horror stories go, Natures Temper does some good work and “I am a search and rescue officer for the US forest department” read by Corpse Husband is a must.
I also enjoyed Tales from a Gas Station but everyone knows who Mr.CreepyPasta is.
Dr. Creepen is one I picked up...somehow, can't remember, a while back. Pasta readings, but he has a voice you can sleep to and the stories are usually good. Not the best on American accents, though.
Another vote for Rob Gavagan as well.
Dan Bell does urbex, but will always tell the tale behind the location while he's doing it. He has a few videos on locations where people were murdered, including a small two part documentary about a case in Baltimore.
Similar to Dan and having worked with him is BrightSun Films. Their Abandoned and Cancelled series are good listens; the guy does his homework and speaks well.
Seconding Nuke's Top 5. Yeah it's lists, but if you don't binge watch them it's interesting stuff. Especially when he revisits a video clip for a follow-up; he has some regulars he showcases.
Most everything else I give a casual listen to is standard true crime documentaries, and those playlists are a dime a dozen despite the apocalypse.
Killer Legends is an indie documentary currently available on YT's free movies list. Some young folks go around investigating the roots of well known urban legends. It's well presented in my opinion.
Can I recommend Lutch Green? They don't upload very regularly, but their list videos delve a lot deeper into the cases compared to other similar channels. Just overall very informative and they always seem to find more obscure/interesting stories I don't see in other videos.
Another good one, but he does lists is Dark 5, there's some good content in there that hasn't been done to death like other channels. Also has a second channel where he goes into some deeper dives on stuff called Dark Docs
A channel I binged watched recently is Nick Crowley; very chill voice and he does a lot of videos on mysteries / scares I haven't heard of before. Also, lowkey comes across as a little shitposty from time to time which I like. A lot of his old videos have his face in them and he like, heavily involved himself but honestly after binging on his mystery videos, I didn't mind it so much. He's a lot easier to watch / listen to than Nexpo and his videos are well-made enough not to be cringe.
A rabbit hole I stumbled down on Youtube has been this whole tik tok randonautica thing that a lot of the kids are doing. Some teens followed the coordinates given to them on this spooky app and ended up finding a diced up body which kind of kicked off a trend of kids doing the same in the hopes that they'll find some fucked up stuff, too. There are tonnes of compilations of this. Some of them are good fun, some are clearly fake and some are plays on the scariness of the whole situation that kickstarted it all.
All in all though, if you can get past annoying tiktok teens and the generic youtube creepypasta channels that are trying to cash in, the compilations are pretty fun to watch.
