I never made it to Milan or Sicily so I can't attest to how cool they are, but I was legit blown away by Florence even without prior hype.

Honestly, just don't ever go to Napoli. It's a big fucking ghetto filled with guidos.

OK but if I'm going to be for real, I super want to see Ancona, Genoa, Venice, Modena, Naples, Syracuse. . . and of course ruins like Veii. I was just shitposting but I am genuinely a bit of a pastaboo.

Florence has always been Italy's hidden gem. Everyone knows Venice, Milan, and Rome but not cities like Florence, Lucca, Urbino, or Genoa.

Well COVID is a blessing in disguise because once things let up, the travel and tourist industry are going to be in deep discount. If things end next year, that's the perfect time to check out some of those in one good vacation.

Genoa's pretty sweet as well. I never considered myself much of a pesto person until I had a pesto pizza there and it was fucking amazing. It's a pretty sketchy town, tho, and real dirty as well.

Lucca has the best pizza I have ever tried, such a great town. The people there are also really fucking nice. God I love that country.

I'm not a fan of the beat and broil they put on their pizza. They need to knead the dough a bit more and steam the zest. It's that simple and I'm not an empiricist, so relax a bit. Maybe if they had electronic firing on the hang fire it wouldn't be so elitist, because it really is an acquired taste
