Hospitals over here at one point just started burning through unemployed medical students 'cause we ran out of PPE so someone had to get sent to the first line and we knew they'd be coming back infected. That's the kinda shit that just gets seared into your brain you know. Specially when two of them died from it. We fucking sent those people there knowing we could not keep them safe. We fucking knew they'd come back infected beforehand, but we didn't have any fucking masks, so what the fuck could we do. Just tell them it's an emergency and surgical and cloth masks will have to do that's what we fucking did. And what happened? What we knew would happen.

The people who know me from the Wuhan thread will know the context so I'll just say, I still haven't come to terms with that shit. And now that the second wave keeps grown to the point we're having to buy extra supplies in advance in preparation for that shit... If Trump's got a vaccine he better be fucking fast with that shit.

Regardless of what happens in the Rust Belt I think we'll have to write off both Arizona and Georgia for the foreseeable future. Decades of McCain's 'compassionate' 'conservatism' has turned AZ into East SoCal and Stacey Abrams is getting feted as singlehandedly turning Atlanta into the Chicago of the South and is almost certainly going to be running in 2024 or 2028 off of that.

All these states that are going through the same hell Florida and Ohio went through are almost certainly pass election reform. No one wants another 2020 shitshow. After that, I'm pretty sure they'll turn back into swing states.
