Biden has no organic grassroots support whatsoever. He came fourth in Iowa (which was a shitshow just like this one - I don't even think we still know the official results). Fifth in New Hampshire. Nobody wanted him in '88. Nobody wanted him in '08. Nobody actually cared about him when he was Obama's cracka VP and his rallies were so pathetic that there were more Trump supporters there heckling him than any of his actual supporters. He couldn't fill up a Burger King. His running mate is likewise equally despised. She polled so badly that she dropped out before the first primary after spending $100 million.

None of it seems to matter. Because, you see, they don't need actual people to vote for them. They can just rig the votes that they need.

If Biden gets away with this (and it increasingly looks like he will), that's it. That's it for America. That's it for the Republic. That's it for Western democracy, even the pretense of democracy

This was fraud on a huge scale and they're getting away with it. They've never tried fraud on this scale before. Kennedy v Nixon came down to two states. Bush v Gore (if there was fraud) came down to one state. This was six states minimum (personally I think they rigged Minnesota, Virginia and New Hampshire too).

They stole it in broad daylight and now it looks like they're going to get away with it. What could possibly make you think they won't get away with it next time, that they won't keep getting away with it

The lawyers can shuffle themselves into supporting positions in other firms, where they can become practically invisible. The current firm can take cases from the Democrat party from this point forward, to “atone” for their mistake of giving Trump fair legal representation.

In the end, it comes down to the question of whether the Trump people can show enough sketchy stuff to convince 5 justices that the elections weren't valid, or at least some of the votes weren't.

PA has a lot of ballots tied up in that case that's expected to go in front of the sc, and indications there are somewhat positive.

I am pessimistic, of course, but zero sharks with rubber duck teeth have ever existed, and I think his chances are greater than 0.

It’d require them to overturn a previous certification of the votes or to preempt it. Neither are things the Supreme Court would look kindly on. It would invalidate any kind of concept of a presidential election at all, if the states at any point can ignore the popular vote of the state and completely throw it out.

I do not believe Bush v Gore had any element of fraud. It always was about the shitty ballots they used and the fact that no one could tell who actually voted for whom.

There was some sketchy legal decisions along the way of that, though, with how the recounts being kept going despite the then SoS wanting to certify the results.

Suddenly who is the one depending on the supreme court to swing in with non existent authority to win the election?

And the popular vote of the state is mentioned 0 times in the constitution as far as picking electors. It's actually solely at the discretion of the state legislature. They can ignore the popular vote, that's ironically what supports the constitutionality of the popular vote compact.
