I'll never for the life of me understand the concrete shoes debatespergs insist on donning in order to be "morally consistent" while disregarding the nuance they always want to champion for their own cause.
That he bothers hiding and denouncing this take, but wants to continue playing defense by claiming buying a computer is equivalent to looking for CP is atrociously autistic, if it weren't clear only one of these takes could hurt his bottom line.

I think they try to do it to imitate Destiny but they don't have Destiny's IQ so it leads them to defend even more retarded takes.

"We continue to never change the system."

Did he forget that slavery was made illegal, that most companies in many Western nations have signed up to actively seeking to remove any form of slavelike exploitation from their supply chains. That lots of companies are moving to sustainable models rather than just continuing to shit up the planet - even fucking oil companies are investing into low carbon/ carbon neutral options.

I don't want to overblow this, or make it seem like everything is fine, but things are improving for the most part. It's just *shock* it's not as easy in practice as it is to say on your gay ass Twitter with a rose icon. I guess people don't realise this before they leave College or get a job that's more complicated than filling a cup with steam and milk.

Well this is the utopian's brain for you. Everything has to be perfect and any incremental improvement will be denied or even discouraged. Utopians would rather live on a shitty planet than see any incremental change, because they want a utopia. They spit on reform, make their revolutions and we all know how the story ends.

The planet stopped being shitted up by Western capitalist economic activity 50 years ago. Which was coinkidentally the same time industrial development in the West reached full maturity and began to decline in economic importance relative to services development

Things are in fact just fine, which is why carbon dioxide had to be transmogrified into a pollutant

The real reason is that they believe that the only way things will get better is if they are in charge. Everything they say, everything they believe, is just an extended ego-driven rationalization for the most primitive form of monkey brain social hierarchy craving. And that in turn is just the manifestation of the sexual urge in a hierarchal social species. "Me be big man, me fuck all hot bitches." When it comes down to it, utopian revolutionaries are just a massive tumorously swollen ego and a pair of balls and a dick. That's it. That's all they are. They're the absolute last people who should ever be in charge of anything ever.

I think, for the most part, this is unfair. I see a bunch of inexperienced teens and young adults who, as always, are just idealistic. They think fixing things is easy, that there is this really simple solution right in front of us all ready for us to embrace that will end all of the problems. Maybe it's Anarchism, maybe it's Socialism, maybe it's some Anarcho Capitalist belief.

Usually it's the first thing they latch onto that felt right, maybe it's just what social expectations in their peer group expect of them. Either way, they're convinced and they're convinced it's that simple.

Yet anyone who has just a smidgen of power or responsibility, that has ran or been part of large projects in the real world knows that NOTHING is this simple. That plans never survive contact with reality, and that unforeseen issues can pop up from anywhere. There are problems our societies fixed so long ago, we didn't even realise these things could be problems.

Most of them will end up growing out of it, moderating their beliefs and moving on. Perhaps they will come to realise - as Thomas Sowell points out - that really there aren't really solutions, just trade offs. For that reason alone, utopia is just that - nowhere.

Now sure, you get the leaders of the weirdo revolutionary lecturers who have retreated to LARP as a preacher of revolutionary ideological shit at a University who might fall into what you said. However, does the guy who works at Starbucks, can barely pass out of his first year of university who thinks Communism is the way forward really falling into that? Nah, I think it's just something for him to post about online.

Thousands upon thousands of people in the past thought they could change the world for the better.

99.0% of the time, it involved shedding the blood of thousands.

Here's the full 2 minute "context" clip, apparently it was from May 2019
In a nutshell his argument is: owning things that are the product of slave labor is the same as owning CP :story: :story: :story:

The Chinese used slave labor to make the camcorder for the CP, and the PC/TV used to watch it, so Vaush is okay with stacking an extra dose of the most depraved and cruel slavery on top of his normal everyday helping of consoomer slavery.

Despite claiming to champion the working class, socialists seem to do far more harm to them than anyone else, and they don't even have a problem with that.
