Everytime I see Kizuna Ai, I always remembered how she fell from her position as the top dog of vtubers. The shitshow that was "Multiple Ai" truly killed her brand

On another note, I believe the solution for Holostars is to target not only the f demographic, but also the m ones as well.S Sadly because I think they're too late to grow bigger domestically (niji guys already cornered the market for male vtubers, I think), the only way left for the Stars is overseas. I think Roberu's success to gain overseas audience proved that with good management, they could gained at least a good foothold of audience, not as big as the main branch, but at least good enough to be big.

IMO, my solution would be increasing the Stars collab with the Holo girls, because admit it, most vtubers newcomer are here for the girls, at least for now. Secondly, try to embrace more of the western streamer guys while still holding of their japanese characteristics. I'm not talking about kiddie streamers like ninja, but more of the niche/weird ones like m0ist and sovietwomble

The mistake with Stars was assuming there’d be a Fujoshi population that would simp for them as hard as people do the regular holos. Not having a bro-tier Star was a bad idea; that one left because he was more popular doing a solo gig is just sad.
 
I imagine a comparison to K-Pop groups. They're incredibly popular with the teens and 20s demographic among girls. Holostars feels like it might have been an attempt to appeal to that group, but it doesn't actually touch that base at all.

Something nice I’ve noticed about any old videos or archives of Gura pre-shark is almost all of the comments are clearly in the know but advise against outright stating it out of respect. It’s nice seeing the good side of fandoms every now and then.

Nah...it's more like the traditional japanaese male idols like SMAP or Arashi. K-Pop idols has a lot of nuances that's totally different than what japan has, and a whole differently can of worms entirely

And I also saw a lot of people trying to ask people to explicitly say the name. It's like these people are obsessed more about the nakanohito of the vtubers than the characters themselves

She is still up there but yeah she is not pulling Hololive numbers

To be fair, most people probably wouldn't know as well. Checkers has like 5 different rule sets (Russian is the superior version, fight me bro), including surrender.
