I'm confused about the recycling stuff. Are they just picking it up and taking it to an actual recycling facility or are they attempting to do recycling at the farm? Either way, how will that work? Do they have a truck big enough to haul all that stuff? Who sorts it? What will they do with it once it is sorted? Sell off the recyclables -- but to whom? What happens to the trash that got mixed in accidentally?
So many questions. I have a feeling that this is going to be their undoing. They'll just end up dumping it all on their land and their neighbors will essentially be living next door to a trash dump. I'm sure the troons won't notice a difference in the smell, but the neighbors living downwind of it will.
This is fucking hilarious. 2021 is going to be highly entertaining.
They won the city contract to take over the recycling or take apart of it. Cities like to privatize the sector because it's a great way to lower costs and can be much more demanding about volume and speed. The city walls still cover the trucks and the pick up, however the trucks every week will probably dump all the "recyclable" trash over at the ranch. The ranch should sort this and put them into correct bins for another truck to later come pick it up and then take that to a processing centre to be sold or processed into other materials (Glass gets smelted, Paper gets emulsified and bleached, Plastic gets shredded and melted into PET wire and so on.
Some interesting things about this;
- Penny and the Tranch WON this contract, The fact that they have absolutely zero experience or a functioning facility at this time (but a start deadline of less than month) Makes me think that they severely undercut any competition as I'm sure there are more companies bidding for this. This could mean that they don't get enough money to actually cover their costs because anyone who has had to bid for a contract knows that your first one is always lower than it should be.
- What I said about trash backing up is a real issue that a lot recycling centres have, and the Tranch doesn't have the luxury of quickly hiring new workers to cover their bases or threatening deportation to a bunch of Mexicans if they don't manage the trash quickly enough.
- I'm pretty sure that a decent recycling processing centre would require to have some form of medically trained professional on staff as it can be quite hazardous.
- The speed of which this contract was given to a bunch of untested people makes me think that either they are offering their services stupidly cheap or Colorado is just virtue signalling so hard that they gave this contract because they wanted the social media good boy points.
2021 is going to be a fucking train ride! #TrannyTrashGolbins.
