You’re fucking wrong, there were actually fewer highest office only overvotes this cycle than ever. It’s hard to tell what we can conclude from this, if anything, but the idea that it’s common this cycle is just flat out false.

The issue people have with highest office only votes is that there are sworn statements saying massive batches of them were coming in all at once, which is basically statistically impossible given the fact that only 1-2% of all votes are typically overvotes.
