It's sort of natural to look to a leader in times of shit hitting the fan, but from the beginning of this Covid stuff we've been given mixed messages and there has been so much blatant manipulation from those in authority that anyone with two brain cells knows not to trust the headlines.I gotta say, that’s one thing that I’ve found disturbing since the beginning of this: The sheer amount of people who just seem to need some kind of authority figure that they can rely on and believe without question. They just want some doctor or “expert” or government leader to tell them exactly what to do and expect, in the way a toddler wants their dad to tell them the status of the monsters under the bed. And they actually get upset if they don’t or can’t have that.
Add to that the people who have latched on to a few things (like mask wearing) and just virtue signal the hell out of it. Kind of like a 1st grader bragging about how they followed some arbitrary classroom rule, did you follow that rule? Teacher, that one didn't follow the rule! and the teacher doesn't even really care that much but here's this kid acting like a tiny Gestapo agent over something trivial.
I've had Covid, some of my friends and family have had it. IT SUCKS. Try your damnedest to avoid it especially if you have any other heath problems already. Wash your hands. Don't touch every item in the Walmart, just get what you came for. Use hand sanitizer. Wear a mask in places with other humans so if you have it and don't know, you aren't blowing clouds of cootie infested air around. Wash your hands again just because. Take vitamin D. Most importantly don't let other people make you feel bad. Irritated, sure, but try not to let it burn you up from the inside. Just make note of the maskholes in your life and quietly cut them out of your will later.
