that's the thing, though, do we know for sure if he's being "that selective"? But eventually the purity spiral that Bob's currently trapped in will either completely eliminate all potential candidates for Mrs. Mariolover Chipman, or even if he climbs out of it (highly unlikely), at some point not even all the booze in the world will make Film Blob attractive or desirable to even the most desperate of Masshole Cougars who might have seen someone play Mario back in the day.

It's easy to tell which fat kids quickly developed a sense of humour as a self-defence mechanism and which didn't. Based on Bobs recount of his High School days it sounds like he was an angry kid who lashed out all the time at even the smallest grievance. Like @Pagliacci said a few pages back one of the reasons Bob is so insufferable is because he is always "on" and will get angry over the smallest provocation because he thinks you are insulting his minuscule intelligence. He takes everything 100% seriously from politics to Marvel vs. DC and I doubt he has ever had a friendly, lighthearted conversation in his life where both parties just banter with each other or crack jokes. He will never be able to laugh off someone having a different opinion from him or admitting he said something stupid with "My bad, four beers really messes up your mind", he will angrily snarl "I'm aware" and stew over his ninth beer of the night before returning to his phone once again.

So many of Bobs movie pitches sound like they came out of the writers room of a sketch comedy show but he treats them like they are on par with some of the biggest movies ever made. Care Bares meets Paradise Lost but written like a Marvel movie? That sounds like something I'd see on Robot Chicken and not a 2 hour movie on the big screen. He once pitched the Predator as a Weekend Warrior to dunk on the Mayonnaise Ghouls when it sounds like a 3 minute sketch you'd see on SNL or MadTV where the one joke is a scary alien monster lives a domestic life in-between fist-fighting Arnold. Its almost like he can't see anything as fun and lighthearted because he's never experienced those emotions in his life.

Barkley also got promoted and advanced in his career, going from Jr. Lieutenant to Commander by Voyager. Bob lost his job and had his career implode on himself due to his laziness and toxic personality. Also I'm sure Barkley had a couple programs where he got to bang Troi and Dr. Crusher while Bob can only pathetically tweet at women who hate him and jerk off in the loneliness of his basement.

- They spent 5 years demonizing him to no end. That won't stop just because he owns them, and would just result in Trump owning CNN in name only as everyone else jumps ship to MSNBC or PBS as he fires them all for continuing to besmirch his name.

- What is CNN even going to report on now that their main cash cow is weeks away from being irrelevant? It would be a retarded business decision to invest in a news network right now. AT&T isn't selling it because they've made too much money and just have to let a revenue stream loose. The MSM's ties to the DNC are going to restrain them from reporting genuine critique of the Harris administration, and people don't usually watch the news for good, uplifting news. There's a reason news networks contantly feed into a cycle of doomerism; it keeps people glued.

-If anything, I can see Trump investing in or buying OANN, Right Side, Blaze, Daily Wire, or Newsmax. Outlets that already target and favor his base. All he'd need is to not go super into Right-Wing extremism and keep the content Right-Center (think most news channels circa the 60s-70s; moderate economic conservatives with minor social liberal/libertarian tendencies, but overall big on patriotism and All-American values/exceptionalism) focused.

What would be very funny would be seeing Blob react to Trump acquiring Star Wars or stock at Nintendo.
