I think it's one of those things that if she admitted to herself that Nick is guilty then she admits to herself that she facilitated it by turning a blind eye to quite a few red flags.

Looks like it's moving forward in a full court. "Courtroom A" sounds like one of the major courtrooms in a county courthouse, presumably the Court of Common Pleas for Lancaster County though I'm sure @Saul Goodman will have more details.

Well, I guess I'm either going to have to go to sleep the day before at a reasonable hour like a normal person or pull an all-nighter. This time, I plan to attend, with Southern PA being fairly close and all.

Well I just saw a photo of Nick Bate in a prison jumpsuit. The authorities are doing something right and convicting a guilty-as-sin creature. Time to celebrate with alcohol!

The prosecutor, while generally excellent (which is not surprising -- these days you have to have superb credentials to get any prosecutor's job straight out of law school), unfortunately played into this a little bit (in my opinion) by asking questions that weren't necessary to make her prima facie case (e.g., "So, when you say you sucked it, what do you mean by that?").

But it was on cross-examination that SDC got significantly out of line. He began by making her repeat/confirm pretty much everything she said on direct and then kept pressing her for specificity on dates/times/logistical details (including such things as exactly how Nick pulled the victim's shirt up).

... I think after the trial ends I'm gonna need a stiff drink.

Saul, you are a true patriot, and thank you for this fine report. Kudos to AO for taking the stand, as I can't even imagine how difficult that must have been. I have to admit I'm pretty disheartened to hear that the shit Nick did was worse than we previously thought, but at least it will (hopefully) make the final sentence worse for him.

Now I'm considering making the trip to attend the next trial, since it's on a Friday and I'm only three hours away...

Possible post-hearing Kiwi breakfast, maybe?

If A takes the stand and she hears testimony from the victim herself then Nick's mom will either crumble or double down on the denial.

A did just that today, though.

I don't think Nick's mom will ever openly admit wrongdoing or accept that he is the piece of shit that he is. I think she knows it's all true, but admitting that would be admitting to her own failures. She gave birth to him. She raised him. She didn't do anything to stop him. She helped create this monster. This could have ended a long time ago (as it should have), but once again that would put her character into question.

There's no denying what Nick is. The only people attempting to do so are either legally required to pretend they believe he's innocent or are trying to save some semblance of face. Still, ultimately, the truth has been obvious for years.

A is an absolute superstar and I honestly wish we could rain good things down on her like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, but I know that's not possible. At least not until the legal proceedings are over?

One good thing is that she and Ick have different last names (having different dads and all), so it's not like her classmates, etc., will necessarily know she's the victim just from newspaper reports.

With any luck Victims A's testimony convinced the prosecution to increase the severity of his punishment. Hopefully to such a degree that even after a plea bargain, Nick will be out of circulation for a long, long time.
I'm not asking for Life, or even 60 years. Hell, let 'em get plea bargained down to 40. Just as long as he is on the offenders registry for life.
I also hope that while he spends years gnawing on Nutraloaf between ass-whoopins; Victim A takes Muay Thai and Krav Maga lessons, so that when and if The Shit-Smeared Orangutan tries to come back into her life, he gets the most brutal ass-whooping of all.
