Here’s the thing: BLM brings easy brownie points for PR, which is what the Democrats live for. As for Kamala, she seems like AOC but able to be put on a leash. I’m sure once she gets significant power and influence, she’ll go full throttle toward the progressive pet points. As for Trust and Reconciliation, they’re going to do that the first chance they get because they want Trump’s head on a pike. They want his supporters to be able to conform to the real world while doing away with those they feel are too far gone. The tech companies will purge as soon as they have the way to do so without eyes on them, including Jack saying that Trump will be suspended once he leaves office. To the Democrats, Trump is Hitler, MAGA is a Nazi cesspool...and they’ll bring them to their knees and the gallows at their Nuremburg.I can see this, but if the Dems are smart about it, they'd try to not reimplement them all right away since it was obvious that Trump did not cuck out at first and is going down fighting and raising hell, even if it does seem to be a futile effort.
AOC more or less screwed the pooch on any "Truth and Reconciliation" cancel culture tribunals for the time being and she'll probably get purged out of office by the DNC anyway no matter who wins.
If Harris was smart about it, her and the Dems would try to pacify things for a few years before officially restarting the woke train in full.
Basically, from 2021-2023, this would be the best course of action.
1. Keep the lockdowns and mask mandates as they are until March or April of 2021 when the winter flu season is officially over and the vaccines coming out in late December will be more widespread among the wider public. Once the lockdown ends, milk that for all its worth and blame the malaises of 2020 on Trump and his approach to COVID-19.
2. Hold off on reinstating CRT and discourage woke media as much as possible at first so they can pacify the masses again and help really sell the "call for unity/return to normalcy" ploy. The goal is then to convince the normiecons that Biden was just blowing smoke to secure the win and that everything's going back to the old Bush/Obama malaise paradigm.
3. Don't discuss court stacking at all and try to play ball with the current right-leaning SCOTUS and if by some miracle, the Dems don't get control of the Senate in January then accept the fact Biden/Harris will be a lame duck and to lay off executive orders until after the 2022 midterms
4. Try to drop the wokeness and if possible, use the next two years to purge Antifa and BLM since they're loose cannons and too risky to keep around long term.
5. Wait until the 2022 midterms and once you have full control of the government, then that's when you really force through all the stuff on the agenda. People will be legit surprised and won't be as angry as they are right now, having mostly forgotten about 2020.
Again, this is a hypothetical scenario of what I would do if I were in charge, and it's probably not going to be anywhere near this pleasant. Pray for the best but expect the absolute worst.
And this is why it’s time to wave the white flag. Unless Trump springs some magnificent trap, he’s done. I’m not trusting SCOTUS because a good number of those guys are either a coin flip, easily convinced, or weak willed.I will rate you optimistic as while your observations are interesting, it just looks clear for Biden as of today.
We’ll just wait and see if the expected is to happen (Biden winning) or we get an upset (Trump wins).
But even with Wisconsin and PA, Trump is currently at 232 EV so he needs 68, both those states would just get him to 262 which frankly wouldn’t be enough and the other states he needs to flip are looking unlikely.
To the left, give them a rainbow flag, BLM, or some sweet MCU, Mandalorian, Disney magic, or Harry Potter, and you’ll have them either complacent or eating out of your hand to do whatever you want. It’s like catnip to them.Something I'm really interested in seeing should Biden get in is what's going to happen to the left in the future. Looking at places like r/WayOfTheBern or r/stupidpol and other such places they aren't happy with what the Biden administration is shaping up to be, I've even seen many discussing similar points as the current right is. It's always interesting for apparent socialists to realize the party they've been rallying around is basically the personification of "rule by elites" that should be going against their values of standing for the working class. I'm curious to see if/when the fracture between the progressives and deep state Dems take place what shape the party will take.
I think the Republicans are also in for a shake up even if Trump gets in but especially should he not. GOPe deserves to lose if they're going to be this spineless, I have no idea why they'd think anyone would care to vote for someone that caved at the first sign of pressure.
I don't know, I get some comfort out of knowing that not everyone on the left is blind to what's going on even if I might disagree with some of their positions. Not just talking about the whole election drama but on what to actual expect from a Biden administration. Feels like it might end up very similar to what's happened in Canada with Trudeau and I can already see the die hard loyalists forming that'll pardon anything Biden does because either "the other guys are worse" or some other garbage reason. Republicans already seem to be slipping into a similar stupor the Conservatives found themselves in after Harper with a lacking of any good leadership should they toss Trump to the wolves.
As for the GOP civil war, that’ll depend on if the MAGA group can get off 4Chan and actually work to gain positions in the lower parts of politics and work up, assuming there’s still a place for them. The establishment are content doing anything that gives them money and status.
Funny, I always expected Lin Wood to be a black guy.
I hope these lawyers aren't just posturing on twitter. There's no point to those twitter posts unless it's for fundraising.
