The year was 1990 and Donald Trump had a mission. He would build a golf course. A mostly flat lump of dirt with some grass, a few holes. What could go wrong.

The land he settled on was a 400 acre stretch of land in New York near the Takoma freeway. A wonderful spot for a golf course, kind of, but we will get into that later. Anyway, here it is.

Looks pretty mundane right? Nice bit of fuckoff land in the middle of nowhere? Only one issue. Let's zoom out a bit.

So whats wrong with this? Well two things.

The first, is that it's built next to a State Federal Land reserve.

The second is that it is literally within walking distance of a historic, popular, and well known golf course.

The third is that the entire golf course would be on federally protected wetlands.

For those for those of you who were never thrown into the woods by your parents. Let me explain. See the other golf course is on a bit of a plateau. It has the high ground. Water from it doesn't really go anywhere major. Trump's land however, is the source of a stream. That means every bit of fertilizer they use is going to fuck up entire ecosystems for miles and miles. This is a dick move, and is why you can't develop wetlands, in addition to killing endangered species and fucking the water table. It's something anyone with half a brain doesn't decide to build a golf course on.

Furthermore Trump had another problem. Specifically, people said he was retarded and was not allowed to build an unneeded golf course

So then what? Did he give up? Did he sell it back?

He tried to claim it was worth $100,000,000.

And for some reason, no one would pay 100 million to commit a felony. So instead he donated for about 26 million in tax right offs, creating Donald Trump National Park. Now lets go over a few of the highlights.

1. The park was never actually developed as a park. It only has the ruins of Trumps attempted Construction that was never removed.

Like any cow, Trump simply cannot choose to not just not react to things, especially shit that has nothing to do with him. Let's look at his famous feud with Rosie O'Donnell:

In 2005, Rosie said some shot about Trump on The View that pissed him off. He was right to be upset:

O'Donnell, who was a co-host of "The View" at the time, criticized his decision, saying that she doesn't "enjoy" Trump and said he went bankrupt -- a claim Trump continues to deny, most recently at Thursday's GOP debate.
She added that Trump is "not a self-made man" but a "snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie," and she proceeded to slam his multiple marriages: "[He] left the first wife -- had an affair. [He] had kids both times, but he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend."
Following those comments, Trump fired back at the comedian and told People Magazine that O'Donnell is "a real loser" and "a woman out of control."

I mean, not much of what she said was false, but it was inflammatory and Trump responded in kind. That could have been enough, and over the next few years they didn't have much bad interaction, Trump even supporting some of her Tweets.

Then 2011 comes and Trump just can't not comment:

In response to Rosie's engagement. Again, this was prompted by nothing, Trump was just literally stewing over this for six years over a basically washed up comedian. She called him an ass and he attacked her show on OWN and that seemed to be the end of it.

Until May 2012 when Donald for some reason decided to call her a loser in a tweet about Cher:

He was kind enough to wish her well when she suffered a heart attack later that year, but then was back at it in 2014 to attack her for deciding to have weight loss surgery (almost like a heart attack can change one's opinion on being fat):

I'm not here to say Rosie is not at fault for this starting, or that she should not be challenged or should never be bullied. I'm saying that he repeatedly, for years kept on going after her, even when she didn't respond, even when she had nothing to do with the conversation. He just could not give up on this single sleight she made in 2005, to the point of bringing her up during a primary debate when she was not the topic at all. He has held a grudge for 15 years, because he is too thin skinned and ego driven to just let sleeping dogs lie. This isn't his only feud, but it is the most notable recently. More to come!
