Let's look at a counterexample. In a civilized county like Venezuela where corporatist 'right wing' candidates have made many attempts to engage in election fraud in the past:

1. Voters must present themselves with their voter ID card, which has a photo to confirm their identity.
2. They then use their voter ID card and fingerprint to confirm they are entitled to vote.
3. Once they press the vote button, an anonymized electronic record is submitted to a central database via a private network to enable ready and accurate vote updates. A paper record is printed- with the actual choice, not some QR code- that the voter can use to confirm what the machine registered. This is placed in a ballot box that goes with the machine.
4. The voter signs the physical election roll to confirm they voted, and their finger is marked with ink to further discourage any attempt to double-vote.
5. Random audits are made of machines, to confirm that the electronic and paper vote counts match.

It seems like if America has a problem with election results initially being reported inaccurately, perhaps the GOP and Trump should have tried to work on this at some point over the past four years?
