I'll fully submit to a six week Lockdown. No questions asked, and I won't raise any guff....

IF the politicians and news media talking heads agree to do it too. And none of that work from home crap. No no no. I want them to stay at home and not collect paychecks or income of any kind. The Don Lemons and Chris Cuomos of the world can sit and home and follow their own advice, and the governors and mayors pulling this shit can follow their own rules that they are imposing on everything.

Because here's the thing: We've lived through government shutdowns in recent history and, surprise surprise, it wasn't that big of an impact on most people. Not as big as private businesses being shutdown anyway. So I know we can live without them and their "services" for a few weeks. And I have a really hard time accepting the 24/7 news stations as "essential businesses" when I can go days and weeks without watching 5 minutes of their slanted crap and still stay informed on current events. All they do is stoke fires, cause division, and work everyone into frenzy and panic. Trust me, we don't need you because I know you make things worse.

If they agree to all the rules of a shutdown, I'll agree to a six week lockdown without protest.

The large problem now days is that parents don’t fucking talk TO their kids, they talk AT them. Like Jesus talk to your kids when you are NOT giving them shit. Just have a casual conversation, share some of your experiences. Kids also learn by example and if their parents are left wing schizo helicopter parents, the kids will be accordingly the same. I am not perfect as a parent, none of us are, but I spend time talking to my kids about the stupidest silly shit every day, and they are adults/teens.
It helps them learn to use their brains instead of strictly memory.

I’m not saying you’re right, I’m just saying that it’s pretty fishy that cases were stable through October and then suddenly started “surging” the week after the election and nobody seems interested in the cause. You’d think certain groups would want to rub “you all got the coof from voting in person!” in our faces, wouldn’t you? 🤔

Edited to say, @spinal gas chamber: I actually know the local mosque have been giving out niquabs to people who don't want to wear masks but have no medical reason not to. I am no fan of Islam, at all, but the same Mosque also has been cooking meals for people in the community through all of this, and when we went without TP back i March, they were handing out those special jugs Muslims use instead and a leaflet on how to use it for free to anyone who wants one. They've also set up a no-obligation community fund for anyone unable to make rent or billls. That said, the same Mosque is hardline anti child raping gangs and shops any of their congregation who fuck about brazenly with the Law. In the same way a broken clock is right twice a day, I guess there's some non-shitty Muslims out there, which is nice to see.

Some legends of Krampus tell of naughty children being dragged (or whipped) all the way down to Hell. Though if you go the Krampus route, the Karen's will voice their displeasure and it might shock and appaul your in laws. Get a friend or neighbor to dress as Krampus for the full effect if you don't live in a place where the tale is well known.

My kids behave year round because they don't like being in trouble.


I just love how they always mention how long you should wash your hands for. Like, is hand washing new because everyone acts like it.
