I'm not saying there is a surprise waiting for us here in El Paso, but the stars are fucking aligned.

The Facebook page for our base told us that one of the dining facilities would be serving the Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving day, and it is reserved for Soldiers only.

They're claiming it's for COVID reasons, but it doesn't add up totally. Two points that don't make sense. Typically Thanksgiving meals at dining facilities are served the week of Thanksgiving, not the day of. Not a big detail, but it is something you notice if you spend enough time in. The second point is them only wanting Soldiers. Typically they allow family members and civilian employees to eat as well, but they are banned from the facility, to include breakfast (which is only going to be bare bones shit because they need the ovens for turkey and ham). This point is really suspect.

I think what will happen is President Trump will do something similar to his rallies he did leading up to the election, going to multiple bases across the US. If he starts at West Point or Annapolis, then that's what's going down.
