Your last statement there is a very hard call, seeing as Gen 3 has probably the most eclectic and bombastic cast out of any generation. They also have, by far, the most chemistry and cohesion as a group. The Gen 3 girls can riff off of each other for countless hours, and they all have their own very unique personalities and quirks that hold them all as stand-outs, none of them are even remotely the same.

But I will say, as I have in the past, Marine is one of the best all-rounder entertainers in all of Hololive. Are there other girls "better" than her at the things she does? Yeah, as someone else pointed out a couple pages back, but no other girl can do ALL the things she does at the consistent quality level she commands. Marine is very special in that way.

On the topic of the Pekora/Kiara collab, I thought it was cute. I'm kinda hoping Moona and Kiara have a collab too just for fun and to keep people talking. It's a fun little dynamic that drums up interest.

Same. The interaction was brief, but they played off each other well in the whole “Pekora’s mine” bit.

It mostly fit what we know about her before hololive, was in a bad place and become a shut in then there she fell in the rabbit hole and auditioned to Homolive, now she is there lusting for Calli and almost having a catfight with Moona

I was trying to explain to my father, who I was visiting because national holiday in the US, why Pekora has such a... unique voice when she knocked Kiara off the ledge with a flaming sword. Lost it and couldn't stop laughing for a good several seconds. What a great collab. I wonder if Moona logged on because she knew Pekora and Kiara would be online.

I wanna say they probably planned it a little with the whole face off bit, along with Moona returning to Twitter. Cover probably caught onto the whole love triangle thing the fans are enjoying.

She actually reminds me, in a weird way, of the joshi wrestler Kana (or Asuka, for the WWE fans). I think her “gimmick” is just a lot subtler than some of the more straightforward girls.

And while I’m on that weird comparison, I’m also just going to float: Coco is clearly Hololive’s Kenny Omega, and I would love to see World Wonder Ring Stardom do a Hololive inspired event, because many of the girks map pretty cleanly, including that all the girls have identifying colors - Aqua would be Konami, FBK could be Mayu Iwatani, Korone would be Jungle Kyona, Marine would have been Kairi Hojo had she not left, Matsuri would be Momo Watanabe, and Miko would definitely be Hana Kimura were she still alive.

I recently watched a clip of Sora giving her impressions and she points out that Marine is an amazing MC, helping guide the conversation and girls so that nobody feels left out. I think that point is very astute and although it can be overlooked, it's also an invaluable skill as a lot of the girls are highly introverted, and can have communication issues.

I had the same thought. Does Atlus sperg over streaming their older games? I know they had ridiculous "guidelines" when P5 came out, but don't know if they relaxed them or not.

It's actually pretty ironic you mentioned puroresu, since Vtubers in nutshell is similar to how pro wrestling is, complete with Kayfabe and (arguably, though very unlikely) Storyline
Also, RIP Hana Kimura, you will be missed
