oh ok so she wants to be a tattoo artist lol
isn't there some stigma that you have to have a lot of tattoos to be taken seriously in the industry?
maybe she's trying to fast track that
This is 100% true in my experience. I'm in the camp that skill comes first, but a lot of places won't even consider hiring you if you aren't inked up and down. Cue cryDubbbz screeching it's immoral not to hire the most skilled people in principle (LOL). The mentality is it shows taste, knowledge, and dedication to the craft I think.
The thing is, Anisa isn't currently cut out with or without tattoos for every reason and I don't think it's occurred to her yet how demanding, stressful, personality dependent, and skill intensive the ink industry really is. And it's cliquey as all Hell too.
I think she just wants to quit OF fast and get into an "easy", quick career that makes her interesting. If she can stick to one fucking thing for more than a minute and actually push herself, she has a chance, but
I don't think she'd stick with it for more than a year and definitely not long enough to get much out of licensing. She should have skipped the tattoos and bought some reference books
and a cheap machine online to practice on grapefruit. You'll learn real quick if you want to pursue it as a career at that point.
E: thanks
@flareking414, I must've missed the ink gun arc. Then she's an even more massive sped for not pacing her work and practicing more. Those look like pure dogshit and going off her current drawings, she has no chance if this has been on her mind for at least a year and she still sucks. I feel my previous point still stands because it's apparent she hasn't invested an appropriate amount of time into practicing. She'd be showing off skins regularly if she wanted to expand her potential client base and establish herself as a legitimate tattoo artist. Instead she basically gave up art professionally. Still think she's gearing up to quit and that this is her rushing out her tattoos to pass. I still feel it's inauthentic and a phase, even if it's one that she put down for a time, tbh. This further confuses me as to why she went into OF. Why didn't she just start an apprenticeship or double down on her tattooing for fulfillment if that was her plan?
If we're being totally honest, I think Anisa would be a much better bartender. It's a fast, semi-social job with little barrier of entry and she can make decent steady money immediately without her e-drama getting in the way.
