Is Black Widow the new Captain Marvel? I see her everywhere now.
Is Disney still pushing Carol as the new leader of the MCU?

She's more popular than Carol. Both in mcu and comics. Not only has she appeared more in both, but Carol got a super negative reception with Civil War II.
Brie is just.....bad. like her character was obviously supposed to be like an amnesiac in terms of being in a new planet and all but the whole "HAHA LOOK ITS THE NINETIES LAWL" coppled with the whole GURL POWAH schitck was just awful. "UWU GARBAGE AND NO DOUBT? YA ITS TEH NINETIES Y'ALL"
The scene where she steals fuckboi mcgee's motorcycle was just pandering.
Black Widow on the other hand, people have been asking for yeaaaars for a solo film. But Ike Perlmutter is why there was none until now. As opposed to Cap Marvel this is more of a "family drama" espionage thriller similar in tone to The Winter Soldier. There's a rumor Sebastian Stan will be showing up as will Jeremy Renner. (The throwaway line about Budapest that is mentioned throughout subsequent films is something fans demanded to see so its going to be in this one) The film definitely has the stronger cast with Scarlett, Florence, David, Rachel, William Hurt, etc.
Also its different with the girl powers idea because these women that they have to save have been brainwash and essentially tortured. Not just girl power because predominantly female cast.
Not to mention an assassin ballerina without your typical super powers vs generic female superman is better any day. AND a villain who is much more difficult tactically because he has basically all your skills and abilities.

Marvel has been pushing Carol since 2015, tried it multiple times, rebooted her character every year, all so she can find an audience. It has yet to materialize. Brie was the perfect actress for Carol. She's constantly pushed, and yet nobody gives a shadow of a fuck.

Marvel has been desperate for their own Wonder Woman for awhile now. The thing is though all their most popular female characters are tied to the X-Men or Spider-Man who's movie rights were a cluster fuck.

No no its ok lol. There was a big controversy when Age of Ultron was released because (again Ike Perlmutter) there was a distinct lack of Widow merchandise.

The MCU is just like Harry Potter and Rick and Morty: An entertainingseries (at least for the first 3 phases. I have a feeling that Black Widow will be the last MCU movie that I will like) that people grew sick of because of the consoomer side of the fanbase praising it like its their version of the Quran/Book of Mormon/Whatever other shitty "third testament" fanfic that heretics have created over the years

Went to a mcdonalds weeks ago and saw they were promoting mcu kids meal toys, I'm guessing they were originally for black widows may/november release but since that got delayed guess they said fuck it and went with it either way. But they looked really bland especially black widow, she looked like an unmasked tr-8r but had fionas face.
The scarlet witch one looks nice though.

This is how it will be done
- X-men will be pro peace with normie humans
- Magneto/Brotherhood will be more vocally extremist
- X-men and Brotherhood inevitably clash at a demonstration that is totally not based on reality
- Evil White Military man asks the female president for tougher action against mutants
- she will say no in a speech about togetherness
- Evil White Military man does it anyway
- X-men and Brotherhood clash again
- Evil White Military man sends in current year sentinels, complete with subtle political commentary such as the sentinels having visible red caps and shouting 'Make America Great Again' and maybe something about mutants being 13% of the population or something, maybe even have their serial number be 1488 to really drive that point home
- X-men and Brotherhood have to work together to defeat their common enemy, Racism!
- In the end the sentinels are defeated for now but in the process they discover secret plans for further action against mutants such as the mutant/super human registration act
- End of the movie is the main cast defecting from the X-men, with a speech about how Xavier is wrong and 'the time the talk is over, now is the time for action!'
- Also non of the X-men will be white and at least one of them (Likely Nightcrawler or Rogue) will be an obvious troon
- The Brotherhood will all be dressed like Antifa
- A budding romance between an X-man and one of the Brotherhood will be the film's subplot
- Post credits will tease a prominant minor charater or popular comic book plot, such as Mister Sinister or the Hellfire Club meeting

Corona Chan utterly fucked over Disney, and the MCU to boot. I can't imagine either getting better any time soon. I didn't even care about the "good" new MCU films that have already been postponed, they would have all likely sucked anyway.

Captain Marvel is actually a pretty good character. The problem is they keep pushing her as a hero. Accept that she's an unlikeable asshole who happens to be on the "Good Guys" side and she works just fine. She's like the bad version of Steve Rogers - he is everything people imagine a soldier should be. Whereas Carol Danvers is the "just following orders," "civilians get out of the way!" sort. I'm not going to say anything about pilots... but there's a reason she's a pilot.
