World Economic Forum Megathread (The Great Reset)

People are speculating that the US government is going to destroy the power grid and then blame Iran
care to elaborate more on this? no government would be so stupid as to get rid of the powerline. you get hungry cold and desperate citizens in a country where gun ownership has gone up this past year and will be desperate enough to raid the government should that happen.

Israel just assassinated Iran's chief nuclear scientist. People are speculating that the US government is going to destroy the power grid and then blame Iran. That combined with Schwab's promise of a cyber pandemic that would make Covid seem minor this past July is very worrying.

If this were to happen, and it were permanent, it would be the end of civilization; chaos and starvation would ensue. The only survivors being self-sufficient rural dwellers. Matt Bracken believes this is what Biden was actually referring to when he said Dark Winter. Plus if they do this in winter many simply are going to end up getting wiped out because they have no heat and will succumb if they already have health issues.
No power = no entertainment.
No entertainment = people focusing on why life is shitty
No power = most food going bad or not being able to make food
no power = no heat

Like @Oglooger said, a lot of people have guns. Change will happen so fast it'll rip your head off if they try and create power outtages across america.

And that would mean the government and celebrities (letrs face it, they're part of this bullshit too) would lose power and get fucked by a hungry angry mob, we can't have that, we must have the filthy plebs dependent, distracted and complacent.

There are actually three grids in the US, six if you count NERC regional entities, which is where CIP enforcement happens. I’m showing my power (lol) level here but there’s no central “powerline” or single grid or single point of failure regardless of the weird autistic posts that say so. That’s video game shit, not real world.

show your level some more and tell us if we can cut off power to the west coast forever

It’s just like I said. We shouldn’t be taking Klaus Schwab’s books as predictions, but as manifestos. That book up there, COVID-19: The Great Reset, also mentions cyberattacks and infrastructure failure as contributing factors to economic collapse. The media have also been signaling hard about cyberattacks, lately. Stuff like direct ransomware attacks on hospitals, and so on.

It could be a prelude to something far worse. It feels like certain forces out there are trying to go full fucking Bane on America, crashing this country with no survivors.

Let’s look at a few interesting quotes from COVID-19: The Great Reset

If we collectively recognize that, beyond a certain level of wealth defined by GDP per capita, happiness depends more on intangible factors such as accessible healthcare and a robust social fabric than on material consumption, then values as different as the respect for the environment, responsible eating, empathy or generosity may gain ground and progressively come to characterize the new social norms.

By “robust social fabric”, he means Unpaid Work. It’s a pretty bog-standard progressive dog whistle these days to talk about all the little things people generally do for each other out of courtesy or social obligations as though they were labor, essentially to redefine people who do non-work things as though they were working-class. See also, “emotional labor”.

The green economy spans a range of possibilities from greener energy to ecotourism to the circular economy. For example, shifting from the “take-make-dispose” approach to production and consumption to a model that is “restorative and regenerative by design” can preserve resources and minimize waste by using a product again when it reaches the end of its useful life, thus creating further value that can in turn generate economic benefits by contributing to innovation, job creation, and ultimately, growth. Companies and strategies that favour reparable products with longer lifespans (from phones and cars to fashion) that even offer free repairs (like Patagonia outdoor wear) and platforms for trading used products are all expanding fast.

This paragraph follows from the last. What’s interesting is that I’ve advanced this same exact argument years and years and years ago. People hated it. I told people that if we want to save the environment, we have to quit outsourcing jobs to China, quit moving huge amounts of goods on container ships, get rid of planned obsolescence, produce goods locally, and use them almost forever; I explained that we needed to implement a “circular economy” of repairing and up-cycling products instead of buying a new phone every year and tossing the old one in a landfill. In other words, we needed to stop helping entropy fuck us over and implement a negentropic economy instead of one centered on constant, unchecked growth.

Neolibs told me, in no uncertain terms, that I hated poor people, that I wanted poor Chinese to lose their factory jobs and go back to rice farming and being poor, and that I was racist and expressing an America-first policy of hoarding wealth. I’m not kidding. That’s the standard Centrist Neolib position on the economy. Just keep consooming forever. The environment doesn’t actually matter unless they’re trying to placate the Left with green tech false promises and buy themselves some easy votes. Growth, Profit, Grofit.

The Centrist Neoliberal position aligns more or less with what Wall Street investors want. Wall Street investors don’t give a fuck about American jobs. They think you’re dead weight. You want a $14 an hour minimum wage? Fuck you. They’ll find a 16-year-old Chinese slave girl to do it for two dollars an hour and a bowl of rice a day. Nobody gives a fuck about labor unionism anymore. The people who presently claim to represent the working class are all a bunch of do-nothing liberal arts majors and trust fund kiddies who think unions are just labor aristocracies for white people. These dumb Antifa motherfuckers call themselves anti-capitalist, when they are literally backed by the same cunts who run sweatshops in Southeast Asia.

The Left-Right dichotomy is totally wrong. The current political fight is actually a Battle Royale where Left-wing and Right-wing populists are fighting in the streets while Center Neoliberal authoritarian bureaucrat types look down from their ivory towers in awe and dismay at how the serfs are revolting against them. The Left are willing to be the pawns and attack dogs of the Center Neolibs because the Center Neolibs have offered an olive branch, as they always have; a slate of progressive policies and minor welfare concessions. The Right are spinning off into counter-cultural hell, vowing to dismantle the whole shebang in favor of small government and lower taxation.

I’ve always been in favor of the Left and Right populists ganging up on the Center. Who the fuck needs all these bureaucrats and NGOs? Jesus Christ, they just fired that old, useless Deep State fuck Henry Kissinger from the Pentagon and I think his ass was welded to the goddamn chair. They needed the Jaws of Life to undo the upholstery from his wrinkled buttocks. These motherfuckers aren’t elected. They’re appointed. They have no transparency, no accountability, they throw elected officials under the bus all the time and direct public rage and anxiety upon them, and they don’t think we have a right to even know what the fuck they’re doing.

Well, that’s where they’re wrong. We have the right, and the responsibility, to audit these no-account motherfuckers and every little piece of shit policy they propose.

We just had the largest DDos attack in history
Amazon Web Services (AWS) reports that in February 2020, they defended against a 2.3 -terabit-per-second (Tbps) distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack

I think it was just last month the was a high disruption in services
Fuck this dude even sounds like a bond villain when he talks
He has an excellent supervillain voice. Wait, why did anyone ever give this psycho any authority over anything, again?

LOL, look at the rating and read the comments.

But why would they do massive cyberattacks and crash the economy when their guy Biden/his DNC handlers is president? Do they expect Trump will win the election in the courts? They already have unprecedented amounts of control on society thanks to their "pandemic" and are slowly strangling the world economy to death. If they did a cyberattack on the cloud/the power grid/whatever they'd just be hurting themselves since you can't consoom product from Amazon or go through Google data to control people if those sites are offline. And I don't mean a "hurt yourself now for huge benefit a few months down the line" like China leading by example with lockdowns over their virus, this would be far, far worse to any of these megacorporations or would-be world leaders.

Is this just some sort of scheme to install a military dictatorship by crushing a populist uprising? They probably wouldn't even have the majority of the military on their side in most countries, let alone the people. And hell, how many soldiers or officers are REALLY going to shoot their starving countrymen in the name of a globalist neoliberal dictatorship that destroyed the livelihoods of the majority of your country. Plenty, I'm sure (the military in many countries is pozzed with deep state fucks like Vindman), but look what happened in Russia in 1917. It would be the ultimate gamble for them to assume they could win a civil war in one country, let alone most of Europe or for ultimate hard mode, the United States. If they lose, they're FINISHED and their ideology and powerbase is as dead as the European aristocracy after World War I. If they win, they get to be masters of a dying world with tens of millions of their consoomers dead and all their cities and infrastructure wrecked and probably end up under the control of China anyway since the CCP considers these globalists nothing more than tools to secure an eternal powerbase.

Sorry, this just sounds like some Tom Clancy ripoff.

Yes.

Since we're doing fantasy novels, try this out for size:

Massive cyber attack takes out a significant portion of the US electrical grid, plunging major urban areas and large portions of the country into the 19th century. Communications are in disarray, food supplies quickly run out, and worst of all, there's no TP left. The Biden administration initially attempts to exert control through the armed forces, but enough of them are sympathetic to the now-starving citizenry that they either refuse to obey orders they consider unconscionable, or actively turn on their commands and openly rebel. Disorder and insurrection spreads. The administration "reluctantly" calls on the United Nations to restore order. Loyal remnants of the US armed forces are seconded as peace keepers, alongside Chinese and African military personnel, with a token observer force sent by the EU. The constitution is suspended for the curation of the emergency and the all-but-hot civil war. The United Nations divides the US into command areas, each with an appointed civil government that is temporarily subordinate to the UN. Over time, the blue hats restore "order" in their areas of control, bringing utilities and supplies along with their rape and murder, and a consensus is slowly manufactured to support the new order. The United States becomes four or five unitary nations, each of which spends a few decades under a period of reconstruction, relying on social inertia and generational memory loss to create identity with the nascent states that are being established. The UN leaves some time in the mid 2060s, and the United States of America is replaced with a half-dozen smaller nations, with newly crafted identities, none of which could ever hope to challenge the agenda of the ascendant UN.

This is essentially a manufactured repeat of the collapse of the Carolingian empire. Details might kill it, but it's a scenario that is feasible in the current international order.

For the record, I don't think it's all that likely, I'm just drunk and spitballing story ideas.
