Eevee's so self-important that he had wormed himself into one of the Flora Kickstarter's newer tiers. Basically the tier was called the "counterfeit" tier and you can get everything from the $65 tier plus a shitty piece of art from Eevee for only $68 dollars more! That adds up to $133 which is Eevee's national Pokedex number, what a fucking loser.

What gets me about Eevee having a Patreon is that up until recently he actually had a very cushy coding job for Yelp (to where he was paying $30k in annual Fed taxes, so he must've been making at least $100k+ a year). He quit because "Waaah, I'm tired of working for someone else's website." and had gotten burnt out. Archive

Marl's job is being PK's store-bitch. He does all the button-making, printing and shipping for her. So he is dependent on her for being paid. I guess Exty just does art commissions.

I doodled that in like 10-15 minutes-- I thought attempting a PK knock off would be harder. Just do low opacity on whatever brush you're using, and keeping color dropping when you paint over another color and bam. It's like any other digital painting (or you could just have a brush that automatically blends but I prefer opacity changing.) but you just add more contrasting colors until they blend at the right point and it looks appealing. If you give a shit and polish it off (unlike what I did) you could be your very own PK! (don't forget to add faint magenta/pinkness for more convincing PK-ness)
Time to make poke-porn and get in on those fap bux (not really I don't steal other artist styles, this was purely for parody)

That art is almost spot-on, especially the Celebi-thing. I notice all of the good designs in the comic fall into three categories:

-Simple
-Other people's creations
-Knockoffs of other people's creations

Also, awhile back, possibly around the time PK made that comic for Oh Joy Sex Toy, someone sent her an ask on Ask.fm telling her that comic didn't sit right with them because of PK's history with her husband. I don't remember word-for-word what she said, but she dismissed it saying something along the lines of "You mean 10 years of happiness? How horrible." I wonder if she's just denying the whole cheating thing now and re-writing history.

That pic is great! You also put in one of PK's normal expressions: angry with an open infinity sign mouth. It also makes the same point I made earlier about the first chapter: it's mostly of them bitching at each other but they are supposed to be close friends who WOULD DIE FOR EACH OTHER GUYS!!11one I know sometimes friends have arguments but DAMN.

PK also tries waaaay too hard to do comedy stuff, going by the Orobas Viagra saga and the newer "Ask Alice/Jacklyn". I think Alice and Jacklyn are one of the better designed characters, and only that's because they are simple anthro things. A pity they both have that "constant bitchy anger (also eye rolling while being sarcastic)" as a personality.

Doesn't that also mean the reverse can happen? Someone could yoink PK's own characters and sell art of them doing scat porn or illustrating Mein Kampf.

It's funny that PK gets all indignant when people ask about her (trans, usually) characters' genitals and other intimate questions, which her feelings would be sort of understandable if she didn't already make porn of said characters.

One of the very few things I still like about PK is her work ethnic. She works very hard and gets shit done. She's the antithesis of Dobson and Diaz.

...To the point were she draws too much to where she's been having problems with her arm and wrist. She had mentioned about wearing a wrist brace most of the time. At least she exercises it everyday. She gives herself 12+ hours a day to just draw. Her eating habits are pretty bad ("OK, I've eaten a handful of chocolate raisins, back to work!") too.

Anyway, next part of Broken Toy is up. What's that? You wanted something to touch upon that weird ass dream Beleth had in part 3 or at least something substantial to happen? Well fuck you, have Beleth and Amdusias arguing over Beleth's porn comic for most of it.

Oh there's no doubting that work ethic. Seen some streams where she'll do the bulk work of one of those streams in one sitting? That's like 4 hours of straight art. Wish I had that stamina.

Unlike those such as Dobson, she's still really good and yeah, there's a lot of overused faces/overdone designs but she at least knew structure and all that at one point and that colouring...

PK's a potential lolcow pretty much entirely over a really sucky attitude.

There are so many unnecessary and distracting design elements that I spend more time trying to figure out how the fuck the characters are supposed to function than relating to them as characters. I don't know how anyone is supposed to use this as a guide to make their own rabbit-bat-thing (which I assume is the goal) when it looks like PK herself doesn't even know what she wants the species to be. The wildly different species variations and 'hybrids' are pointless, it's like she just dumps everything that comes out of her head onto the page instead of going through a visual development process. I actually think her most successful designs are her more generic furry ones, like the cat thing on the first panel of this page.



I think it has a lot to do with the fact that she draws mountains of porn of the characters.

Good god, those are eyesores. Sometimes, simple is better, folks, and this is one of those times.

I admire her productivity. She gets to make art full time and she's very fast. I doubt that is good for her health altogether but at least the fans aren't left hanging. I wish I was that productive and had all that time.

BTW in spite of not liking the design that is being used right now, I thought Beleth was still somewhat of a likeable character. This last update made me think again. Every single character, and Beleth especially, is unbearable in this one. What's with all the crazy faces? Why is everyone acting absolutely apeshit? Is it even believable that a person would fight someone that ranks higher than them because they took their comics? It became super hard to read. And I know the reader's sympathy should be with Beleth but I have a hard time feeling sympathy for someone that got distracted during an emergency by reading porn. ...if that's what happened? I didn't catch that part of the story, I'm not sure where I should look.

You know, I used to like the way PK drew a deranged face. It was quite fitting for cartoonishly crazy characters in PMD-E. But the thing is, she began using the same deranged expressions all the time. I don't think there is one character in Flora who hasn't made her signature crazy/angry face with the big smile and the bulging eyes (maybe Min is the one exception). It contributes to the feeling that all her main characters have very similar personalities.
