The issue with the dripfeed is that it always ends up botching the intended effect of the leak. At best, people get bored of the information and move on to something else before all the info is out, and at worst, the the leaks can end up garnering sympathy for the subject and even lead people to become critical of the leaking party. All you need to do is look at how Radar Online handled the 2010 Mel Gibson phone recordings to see why it's a dumb idea.
