Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Get ready for more feels from my end.

A family friend informed us her 97-year-old mother has pneumonia. She lives at nursing home in Fairfax, VA while the family friend is in Pittsburgh, PA close to her daughter, son-in-law, and 15-month-old grandson. She wants to say goodbye but is concerned about getting the coof and spreading it even though the nursing home is only allowing one hour visits. So in all likelihood she won't be heading to Virginia. The daughter is a physicians assistant but I think she too is swept up in this fearmongering.

How do medical experts like St. Fauci of D.C. go to asleep knowing the damage they did was greater than this virus?
Probably normally because he doesn't have to deal with the plebs and still gets paid. Government jobs are pretty cushy don't cha know.

Heh, it's been a bad day for Trump in court today.

Trump's major lawsuits in Nevada and Arizona were dismissed. Nevada in particular is now entirely free from Trumptard lawsuits. Also, the Kraken has been leashed again. Sidney Powell's original Georgia lawsuit was denied leave to appeal.

It's amazing that with all the power of the presidency and millions of dollars at his disposal, Trump can't get a single judge to believe his fraud claims. I guess all those judges he was so proud of appointing are all in on the conspiracy too.
Why are known pedophiles being allowed to post on the Farms?

This is beyond creepy

Standard childhood vaccinations like diptheria, measles, mumps, rubella, polio, etc are considered mandatory. Why is the Covid one being added to the list so scary? (Other than it practically being untested.)
Because
a) Covid-19 is completely harmless to children (unlike the diseases you listed)
b) In the very rare cases where children have contracted Covid it's been shown they're very unlikely to infect others, so no herd immunity benefits from vaccinating kids and
c) The vaccines have been barely tested on adults let alone children

The above is known to the public health officials pushing for childhood vaccinations. Why would they want to spend time and resources on something that affords precisely zero public health benefits?

Saw this on The Ulster Fry and found it funny.

While the free state opened up, wee Norn Iron went into lockdown. Travel between the two countries have pretty much been halted. So that means people who live at both sides of the border who have jobs in NI and vice versa get fucked over but the globalist Irish government still accept "refugees" who clog up the abused direct provision system. Sad that the "New Irish" and refugees take priority over actual Irish people.

Note: This football club has three sexual offenders from Nigeria working with children.

- Do we trust China's numbers? I'm gonna go with a big NOOOOOOo.
Anything China or the CCP posts publicly about in-country happenings should include a big ❌ because it should be doubted. China has a reputation for saying one thing and doing another or saying they will do something and then do the opposite when they think nobody is looking. they also dislike certain Western concepts, so they have a vested interest in making the Western World look inferior to them any chance they have.

Imagine being so naïve that you take those numbers at face value instead of being suspicious of the circumstances.
It's not just China's numbers being taken at face value but local ones as well. It's frustrating to see doomers here taking the state/county case totals at face value and freaking out even though death numbers are hovering around 1%.

Worse, Michigan news outlets have been reporting an upsurge in cases (7-8000) but the recent numbers on the state dashboard shows a daily average just over 6000. This is the kind of thing that sours normies on what their elected officials tell them to do in response to COVID.

With the original three week "pause" set to expire next week on 08-Dec, Michiganders are curious to see whether the pause will be extended in full or part. Whitmer has been non-committal when asked in recent days. Given her desire to be a control freak even before COVID, however, any sort of extension won't surprise me.

The state high school association is also lobbying to get the last of its fall tournaments completed. The buzz I'm hearing is that they want permission to complete the final week of volleyball and girls swimming post-season competition and the last 3 weeks of football even if it means holding those events without spectators and that winter sports get pushed back later than they already are (presently delayed until 04-Jan). Although the online version is behind a paywall, the print version of the article reported that 95% of all fall sports events were successfully held with some sports having a success rate of up to 98%. Boys soccer, which generated concern because of the physical jostling/slide tackling that normally takes place, had none of its post-season games cancelled due to COVID.

The Sheriff of Sacramento County had something similar to say.
WHY I'M NOT ENFORCING HEALTH OR OTHER ORDERS

While I remain in quarantine, there seem to be those (including from the Governor's press conference today) who can't resist connecting my contraction of Covid with my official position of not utilizing armed officers to enforce emergency or other orders. Two distinct things.

I have enacted dozens of measures inside our department to keep our employees and the public as safe as possible, including mandatory mask policies. I am responsible for the welfare of over 2,000 employees. Despite those measures, because of the inherent nature of the necessary work we do, the possibility of contracting the virus is an ever-present reality. I personally have not engaged in any reckless behavior, I generally always wear a mask in public, I don't engage in activities over the recommended numbers, or dine out when it has been against the rules. Three things, incidentally, we know others have done but been lucky enough to escape infection. Also, every one of my public statements on the matter have urged compliance with ALL safety measures. But alas, I still got Covid, not through some high-risk, flagrant disregard of guidelines, but at work. Though some would like to blame me, and as savory as it would be for some to do so, one would similarly have to blame all 14 million Americans that have contracted the virus, not to mention hold almost 300,000 people responsible for their own demise. That certainly defies logic, and is borderline evil.

Now to my refusal to enforce directives--and they seem to come from everywhere. From public health officers who may not be doctors, from various elected officials, though they are not lawyers or court officers charged with guarding the Constitution, and from unelected bureaucrats who are neither elected by, nor accountable to, anyone. The primary reason is practical--we don't have the staffing. We still do all the same types of things we have always done, and we don't have additional time or staffing to take on more.

The second reason requires more introspection. There exist serious questions of Constitutionality, probable cause, and reasonable suspicion that guide our actions as law enforcement officers. We can't guess, we can't be wrong, and we can't take the word of politicians, bureaucrats and health officials that they exist. The legislature is charged with enacting laws, yet these groups want to create 'laws' that have the same force and effect.

And even if they were enforceable, what level of force would be appropriate for officers to use to enforce them if folks resist compliance? And what if there is tolerance for SOME violations but not others--say a social justice protest versus a wedding? What if a public official violates them, as we've seen on the news, should they be arrested? Should violators be cited at the scene and left to continue violating, or should they be booked into jail? Should we use law enforcement to shut down businesses? What level of investigative resources should we dedicate to determine if somone is out of their home for an "essential purpose"? There are clearly more questions than answers.

As for me, one Sheriff in one jurisdiction, I'm not going to put my officers in that position. I am going to encourage folks to continue to call us when they need us, and assure them that we will show up and help in whatever way we can to make the situation better, not worse. I am going to continue as I have from Day 1 of this pandemic, educating folks when necessary so they can continue to make the best decisions for their and their family's safety.
I hope most folks can respect that.
It warms my heart to see the Sheriffs of larger jurisdictions telling Newsom to fuck off. And it's no coincidence that abolishing the election of Sheriffs and making them an appointed position seems to be gaining traction as a Democratic idea (see Seattle/King County).

THIS. The sheriff of the county I live in would never have the guts to tell Newsom to fuck off.

Various things...

Navy ship's captain afraid for career trying to fuck over the crew, was stopped.

Supreme Court telling Newsom to bite their ass re fucking over worshipers.

And a nice little thing from Ben Garrison.

Archive didn't work.

Are we at the beginning of the end with this? Sadly, no. But we are at the end of the beginning.

I also think about what we, as a society, have gained from all this. My answer - nothing good. We shall be dealing with the manifold consequences of the ChiCom Flu clusterfuck for years to come.

But as a group here, I do see benefits. A lot of us have learned a great deal, many have taught a great deal, with just about everyone profiting from what they learned/shared. I know I have. In my own way, I have looked past many people's words and into their hearts. And they, perhaps, have looked into my heart.

Never quit. Never let "them" win. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. 👍

Right now, my magic 8 ball is showing me the prognosis of "Fuck You" for those plans, though.

I was lucky enough to have travelled in January, and that was the last of it because all of the travel plans I had made for the rest of year - right down to Christmas plans - got ass fucked.

It's jaw-dropping how every nation in the world is just as re,tarded as the next. Require a negative test before departure and then again at the airports on arrival you fucking morons. I had even fantasized about fucking off to one of the handful of countries that don't have any entry requirements but I'm certain that my workplace would made a screaming deal of it upon return. Everyone is a cunt.

a. Not true at all. Covid can cause some really nasty long-lasting effects on children.
b. Also not true at all. Children spread it just as easily as adults do. In fact, due to children being more careless about spreading stuff, they're more likely to spread.
c. Not true, either. There's been over a hundred thousand people in clinical trials for the various vaccines.

tl;dr - stop believing what your boomer uncle shares on Facebook
