To be clear: I don't think Peetz lived with his mother prior to living with Chantal. I believe she took care of his cat but there are videos from prior to her breakup with Bibi where she drives Peetz back to their home town to visit his mom. I do not know who he was living with but I'd wager just a random roommate (he also used to live semi-close to his job).
But I think Peetz probably wanted out of that situation, which is why he so willingly moved in with Chantal. My guess, as others have stated, he will not leave because Chantal is likely his only real social interaction. Despite being a recluse, at the end of the day, she's probably the only person in the world who gets him and can tolerate him.
Ultimately, Chantal and Peetz are made for each other. They're both social rejects who no one else likely could tolerate to be around.

Solid wood is better at holding up under the ever increasing size of human bodies than the pleather things. Plus, you're not having to replace the pleather itself every x months, after it's become brittle under the constant expansion/shrinking from butts dropping in and geting up, and the nuclear farts unleashed on it, etc.

If they ever make a screen adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray with a female Dorian Gray, Chantal would be a shoe-in for playing the portrait.
I wonder if his mom was aware of how bad his depression was soon after they moved in. When Chantal filmed him on that walk, he looked like he was just a few more days away from suck-starting a shotgun. He's a moody pessimist in so many videos, but in that one it did seem like he was genuinely sad rather than trying to be some edgy dead-pan comedian. The only people he seems to have in his physical life who care about him are his mom and I suppose we could say Chantal as well. If his mom saw him like that then I would hope that she would connect the dots as to what exacerbated it and try to get her son to change his living arrangements to one like his old one (whether that is living with different roommates or living with her) in the hope that his mental health with improve. All it would take is for him to enter that state again a month or two before the lease is up for renewal, and his mom could pressure him to bail on the wheezing beezer. It would be a proxy-war between Chantal and Mama Peetz, with Peetz sperging out in the middle not wanting to be confrontational or express his personal wishes to either of them. Glorious.

Yeah, it was either an outright breakup in October 2018, or an ultimatum followed closely by a breakup. Perhaps he demanded she start pulling her weight (har har) financially by getting a job and giving up on YouTube. Chantal has to have things her own way all the time, so I can imagine that someone saying, "YouTube has made you fatter and poorer and I'm over it," would lead to her doubling down on the mukbangs for money/views, whilst still insisting you can lose weight doing them and that we don't know what she eats off-camera, etc. She's right, you're wrong, and she'll prove it by manifesting exactly what you said would happen and then denying it all. That's exactly the kind of abortive logic I'd expect from her. When you threaten to take away an addict's drug, they react a lot like this. (Please don't anyone mistake this for sympathy or excuse-making for her.) And now that he's really gone, she has no reason to pretend to try to lose weight.
Say what you will about Bibi, he did strike me as a decent sort of person who would let her stay on until she'd had her surgery. Of course, Chantal would deliberately misconstrue that as him actually still wanting a relationship with her.
Chantal certainly tried to imply he was living with his mother, though. More passive-aggressive bullshit and emasculation. I don't have a lot of sympathy for Peetz, but Chantal certainly goes out of her way to cast him in the most pathetic light possible -- whilst allowing herself plausible deniability. He doesn't like confrontation, sure, but she also doesn't make it easy for him to find anything to confront her about. The gaslighting is real with this one.

She got a Samsung S20 Ultra, which according to the Samsung Canada website retails for $1849.99. Even if she got it on a payment plan, that's an expensive phone. And even with a top of the line phone her pictures still look like crap.

So I'm not sure if it is something in Canada but in the u.s. right now there is an unspoken of scourge taking place involving elderly and guardianships. People/lawyers literally swindling elderly out of house/home/ any and everything they want. And once its been signed (usually through duplicitous ways) or your ability to govern your own decisions is brought into question of a court its literally too late. They then get to decide and
control your whole damn life...
I imagine this is Chantals plan to some extent. Maybe not as extreme, but she knows if she becomes the "caretaker" then she will have a constant fridge full and rent will be paid until the first person makes it inside and sees the filth.

PL - family member, with full approval of siblings, inquired as to getting guardianship of parent. Said parent was certifiable batshit crazy. Lawyers said: ":Not so fast!" as they, (several different lawyers), pointed out that the burden of proof that the individual needed such guardianship was on the person seeking same & there had better be a paper trail going back a fair bit showing inability to handle their finances, see to their own needs etc.
I'm sure she could find a way to do it but it wouldn't be cheap & any objection from anyone in the family can slow things considerably.

And im not discounting your personal experience with what sounds like some reputable people/firms, but let's say Lionel Hutz shows up.
who starts handing someone paper after paper to sign for say a minor legal thing or a retainer or anything really, a mortgage, refinancing anything...
My point being there are literal documentaries about how bad it is, organizations/non profits setting up to help with lawyers fees and ways to combat itand hopefully congressional hearings over the matter.
It's a very real thing, and easily Google-able. Check it out its kind of scary, and anyone with an elder relative/mental health ailments needs to be very aware of the practice.
