General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Well, whether I intended it or not, my last post did turn into a longwinded personal rambling. I don't particularly care about people thinking I'm the dumbest, cringiest person in the history of the universe for it, but this place not being a personal blog is a valid point so I have edited the original post out.

Those types are rare but they do exist; the only others that come to mind off the top of my head are Korone and Roberu. On the other hand, some like Polka openly admit it's an act and that she just plays the part of the clown because she wants to make people laugh. She's actually kind of a textbook definition of a sad clown in that regard.

Everything I've heard about Subaru sounds like she's very energetic and extroverted IRL.

Aqua is another one that comes to mind who is super-introverted but acts really genki. She even admitted in one stream to sitting across the train from some of the other girls who she was supposed to meet up with but was too afraid to approach them openly until they texted her and figured out that was her. Pekora is yet another one who is IRL introverted.

I wouldn't say they're all "putting on an act" so much as being behind the avatar gives them a bit of freedom to cut loose. There's also the fact that their audience is just scrolling words in the chat instead of faces, which probably separates them enough so that the tubers are able to release parts of their personality that would otherwise get bottled up.

For the record, mods/admins CAN restore posts if they want to. Sometimes they do in cases especially as spergy as yours.

Coming out of Kiara and Calli's A Way Out, I remember people saying that it wasn't as good as AmeSame but I feel people who saw that stream first and came in expecting the same thing don't know these two all that well. Kiara and Calli are very good playing off each other with their yuribait dynamic, probably because they're such good friends in the first place. The start of the stream had Calli just munching on chips and chugging wine like the trashy alcoholic she is, and then later on stuff like this happens. It was really a great stream all around.

First post, hello all.
This thing came up in my recommendations yesterday.
codemiko is an "interactive video game npc" who streams on twitch. Her model runs in Unreal Engine and she seems to use full body tracking for every stream. Chat is able to interact by changing her model proportions or spawning shit into her environment. Her model seems pretty well made but the facial expressions are constantly dipping into the uncanny valley. Personality wise, seems like a standard twitch thot.

I like Inui's BGM, it fits her so well and its perfect for zatsudans and Minecraft fishing streams.
