They’re literally doing this for the wrong reasons. They’re not so huge that Vtubing is a side gig a la Noel or Ina, or so small that it’s a desperation play, its entirely clout/trend chasing. They’re not Vtubing out of a passion for streaming, or an interest in the Vtuber culture, or to find friends. This is why I gatekeep against people like Pokimane from entering the medium.

My guess is either a video name with a spicy name, or the member name change she requested triggered the "deceptive practices" due to how similar to kentucky fried chicken it sounds.

Calli's latest SC read had her completely forget 2 streams existed, that being A Way Out and the begaton. I'm not sure about her actually forgetting the begathon but rather just ignoring it because a lot of the messages there were in the vein of a rallying cry to get Atlus to let her play Persona 3.

On the note of the Kiara takedown: a mod from her specific fan discord commented on it. I'll omit their name but this is what they had to say on the matter.

Kiara's channel got mistakenly taken down due to "spam". Please wait till she gets her channel back as she or Cover will do the process of appealing the ban. I have the same issue as this, and I got my account back by simply appealing it. It's just a common A.I. problem that has to be fixed by YouTube (and is working on it).

Please do not blame Kiara, YouTube Team, or anyone involved with this. This is just an action of a faulty A.I.

Most people in the discord are just spamming emotes so I guess everyone's waiting as patiently as they can, but her fandom is probably the worst in terms of sheer autism.

If they're gonna constantly delay their "debut" which they shouldn't have in the first place (just start streaming until you get the model, that's what I'm doing) then at least make a fucking joke of it and do it as an image post with this as the background. I might actually mistake them for being clever about it if that were the case. Couple indies talked a bit about it, including Valefor, and one of them (I forget who and I don't feel like digging into my twitter feed before having my morning coffee) basically said "don't have a debut for a streaming vtuber if you don't know if you're gonna like streaming in the first place." That's incredibly good advice and I only made the decision to get an avatar after streaming a few times without a camera at all to see if I enjoyed it.

That said, I go out of my way to say my model is a WIP and with permission from my modeler/rigger, post what he shares with me. I don't get people who don't even post their model drafts at all yet say they're gonna debut "soon." Might as well coincide your debut with the release of Half Life 3 at that fucking point.

That Kyuotto person made a public apology for the tracing she apparently did a ways back. From what I can tell she also specifically found the person and sent an apology after working through being blocked and everything. No idea if it’ll be resolved or not, but there it is.

As for Kraken trying to dox them, they don’t seem to be acknowledging them publicly in any way
