The Whites weren't entirely - or even majority - Tsarist, though. In fact, a lot of Whites fought initially on the side of the revolutionaries during the initial Russian Revolution.

It's more the other way around - the Bolsheviks fought on the side of the coalition that did the February revolution (which happened exactly because the Tsarist regime was utterly incompetent). Over the upcoming months the non-Tsarist whites' legitimacy eroded so the big dick Bolsheviks had to come in and take all of the power. Not to mention that the socialists had more power in the provisional government because they actually had the support of the people (workers, military).

It's completely unreasonable to think of the political opponents of the Reds as anything but bourgeois stooges. That's not even something that's being pushed against in contemporary history.

I don't know how true it is per-se, because its all hypothetical "what if" speculation, but some claim the Romanovs would have been executed or exiled even in the event of a White victory over the Reds.

I personally don't think so but it doesn't really matter. It would be good for business to kill the Romanovs if you were the Whites and you somehow managed to win because everyone fucking hated the Royal Family and you'd gain some legitimacy in the eyes of the people who despise you for aligning with them.

Its similar to the Nicaraguan Civil War; the "Contras" were only a minority of Somoza's former soldiers (many of whom hated their former boss anyways); they were an umbrella movement of former soldiers, peasant rebels, mulatto/indigenous tribes, drug smugglers and even leftist/socialists who didn't want to suck Castro & KGB/GRU dick - most of whom had fought or at least tacitly supported the prior revolution against Somoza.

I wasn't calling Castro a KGB/GRU dick-sucker (though he was one), I was saying the FSLN regime (rertega) in Nicaragua was a dictatorship but functionally a puppet of both Castro and Soviet intelligence - to the point that even leftist Sandinistas were joining the "Contras" (see Eden Pastora & ARDE).

And yeah, basically some Reagan officials sold F-14 & AH-1 parts to Iran in exchange for hostage release (at the time Iran was at war with Iraq), then used the funds from those sales to provide the Contras with more guns, explosives and medical supplies.
