Super Smash Bros.

I'm thinking it'll be Supernova since it has a baller animation, displays sephiroth's immense power, and would work whether or not he turns into Sepher Sephiroth (which would be pretty great if he did)
It has the planetary gear-like symbols, I think you're probably right.

Also, I generally don't have much of an opinion on Hungrybox; but Hungrybox is a faggot.

Kinda disappointed and confused by the pick tbh. Sephiroph is fine, but it just seems wrong to give FF two characters, and two that are unique at that. I feel like Sonic should have been the first two rep 3rd party since, you know, Sonic.

I guess my main complaint is that it was him over another franchise. Characters like Crash, 2B, or Doom Slayer should have been in instead as that includes a wider range of gaming history. Ehh...Whatever...

Three? I thought there was only one left.

Nope! Room for three more!

That would be pretty cool. And now I have to watch one of the best final boss fights in the last decade or so.

Splatoon 2's final boss fight was real disappointing.
Yeah, he was disappointing as hell in Octo Canyon. Even the new version of Calamari Inkantation wasn't good. Thank god though they made up for it with the Octo Expansion. Which I'd also like to see Octolings in Smash, with some good Octo Expansion music.

I like Sephiroth but he's far away from who I would've picked as a second FF rep. Terra Branford or Bartzman were my pipe dreams for more FF representation but I'll take Sephy. At least it's an opportunity for more than two spirits or songs being in the game.

At least this one is a lot better than the Cyberpunk templates people were trying to make last week. Those felt like /v/ desperately trying to make the TLOU2 lightning strike twice IMO.

The thing about /v/ templates is that they're usually either a hit or a miss. Sometimes it succeeds like TLOU2 and the Intimidation Game episode from Law and Order SVU and more often other times they end up being a flash in the pan that become forgettable in a few weeks.

Also, on further examination, he definitely turns into Sepher Sephiroth for his final smash based on the trial. At the end when he goes "I will never be a memory" before transforming, he has a rainbow aura, like a player would be after getting a smash ball.

Sick

If Sephiroth is on, it's a matter of time Liquid Snake gonna be on Smash too...
Right?

I doubt it. It would make sense just in terms of pairing the protagonist of a franchise with their antagonist as was done with say Cloud and Sephiroth, Donkey Kong and King K. Rool, and so forth, but those characters are also sort of unique. I can't really see Liquid Snake having an interesting move set. I think a better choice, in those terms, would be Gray Fox or Raiden (yes folks another sword character) or Solidus.
