Mask nazi gets what's coming to him and gets a beatdown.

OCEAN SHORES, WA. -- A Washington man says he ended up in the hospital after confronting two men for not wearing a mask.

Daniel Troublefield, 43, says they attacked him. Police say they don't know whether the men acted in self-defense or not.

"I curled up in the fetal position and I was just ready to die,” he says.

He shared this surveillance video with reporters, which he got from the neighboring drug store.

Daniel says that's him, in the parking lot, walking out to his white car in the middle of the screen. But he walks past it as he was taunted by the mask-less men.

"They kept berating me with expletives, calling me a snowflake and it's not science, it's a hoax,” said Troublefield.

Looking back, he says he wishes he ignored them.

"To my regret, I walked up to the car, I was trying to explain it is science and they should be wearing a mask because they're endangering me and everyone else in the store by not having a mask on,” said Troublefield.

That's when things escalated even further. "The gentleman tapped on my chest. And I flipped up his hat, and that's when they both got out of the car,” said Troublefield.

The video's quality isn't great, but you can see someone is thrown to the ground. The beating lasts about 20 seconds.

"One grabbed me by the neck in a chokehold and got me down to the ground and before I knew it, I was getting my face pummeled with fists,” said Troublefield.

The guys took off and now he's worried they're going to get away, and he won't get justice. "I don't feel the police are doing enough. I'm in the dark right now about everything,” said Troublefield.

Ocean Shores Police say they don't know whether it was an assault or self-defense.

The disabled Marine veteran says he never threw one punch and even passed out. His nose is now fractured, he's had to get stitches and he's got bruises on his face and body.

"I’d like to see the two gentlemen locked up in jail. I'd like for them to pay for what they did. I don't think any human being deserves to be treated like I was treated,” he says.

I was thinking the anal flu, requiring everyone to walk around with a fart diverter shoved up their asses.
Our city is now testing wastewater to "get a handle" on the spread of the virus because fewer people are getting tested and, oh no, the numbers are going down!
Gotta pump 'em up somehow I suppose. That Cares Act money won't spend itself.

According to Fauci, how swiftly we get back to normal is reliant on how many people get vaccinated. "It depends how quickly and how many people want to get vaccinated," Fauci said. "If we have a smooth vaccination program where everybody steps to the plate quickly, we could get back to some form of normality reasonably quickly into the summer and certainly into the fall."

Yep, Fauci says we MIGHT have a "normal" summer if everyone gets their shots without complaint.

This guy is a Marine vet? Everything he says makes him sound like the most insufferably priggish, limp-wristed soyboy ever. Maybe that's his disability.

I'm sure all of #thathappened, exactly as he says it did.

But even if it did, what kind of moron confronts two guys hanging out in a parking lot and taunting passerby? That's pretty much an international sign for, "We're bored and stupid and looking for trouble." Especially in a place like Open Sores Ocean Shores, where there isn't jack shit to do at this time of year but smoke meth and stare at the rain.

Just think what other damage is done to your nervous system. Maybe there's another reason for the masks.

Oh boy, what other crippling side effects can this thing cause? Will it shut my kidneys down, or give me severe arthritis?

But hey, who cares about those things when this vaccine can give us slightly more protection against some glorified flu?

How the fuck does that make sense. If going out to eat means a rise of infections then take away is potentially means the same. Is it because people are too incompetent to read a recipe??

How. . . convenient.

'memba when Europe was putting the US to shame for their handling of the virus? Welp.

Now the vaccine rollout has started in Europe, there is hope, but Dowd says people need to make a final push to prevent unnecessary deaths.
"I think if we can we somehow psychologically get there to think, let's sort of hibernate for the winter," she said. "And when we wake up in March and April, things will be a lot better."

"I was trying to explain the science to them."

Jesus, shut the fuck up. Imagine trying to explain science to two cracked out good ol' boys. This is barely a misdemeanor assault.

Don't think. Comply.

COMPLY.

It's concerning that we are already seeing so many things cancelled for 2021. I'm telling you, that HBO Max announcement terrified me because it's basically an admission that not even this summer is safe.
It seems like some sort of combination of fear, uncertainty, and doubt combined with the idea that stuff shouldn't fully reopen or resume unless (literally) everyone that's able to get their COVID vaccines (that is, the "carrot and stick" approach).

It's unfortunate because I was able to be part of a limited number of outdoor events last summer where people chose on their own to take whatever precautions they felt best and -- as far as I know -- nobody from those events caught COVID.

Governments now have control over people they could only dream of in 2019. 2020 is good to tech giants who work with governments and enjoy this new isolation and "virtual events".
Virtual events and Zoom meetings can only do so much. One group I belong to has had to replace in-person meetings with Zoom meetings and it's not the same. Sure, we get to know the information we need to know, but the in-person interaction that would take place just isn't there and can't happen before or after the Zoom meetings because everyone is set to mute by default before the meeting and the meeting disconnects as soon as the presenter ends the meeting.

There's no chance for the social interaction or networking that would normally take place, nor is there a chance to discuss COVID with the one person in our group whose dayjob may put him in a position to know the most about actual COVID goings-on in our area because our virtual meetings are restricted to "taking care of business" and nothing beyond that.

The real disturbing thing is that there are absolutely no definitive "victory conditions" for any authority to declare an end to their emergency powers and give the all-clear.
I believe governors and mayors are purposely not citing metrics in many cases simply because it's easier to move the goalposts when nobody knows what the criteria being used are.

I have a question to all of you guys, would you take the Coronavirus vaccine? Why or why not?

Absolutely not ... For now. I plan to wait a few years before even considering it. Physical side effects to vaccines can and absolutely HAVE happened before.

I am by no means an anti-vaxxer. I am very pro-vaccine under normal circumstances. Being very weary of a brand-new vaccine that was rushed/fast-tracked does not make me anti-science, nor does it make me an evil person, thankyouverymuch. If this means I can't go to concerts for a while, then so be it.
@StarkRavingMad's reply generally sums up my thoughts on the vaccine. To expand on that:

Given how many senior citizens I'd normally interact with in terms of family and business clients, I feel as if I should consider the vaccine for that reason alone -- especially for people that might be unable to get the vaccine for whatever legitimate reason.

However, I share SRM's concerns that the rush to get these vaccines released ASAP means that nobody has any clue what the long-term risks or side-effects may be. For me, that risk and uncertainty is too great for me to blindly commit to a vaccine whose long-term effects are unknown at best.

Maybe it's not the best analogy, but my final CS course discussed instances where improperly written/tested/used software either directly or indirectly led to preventable disasters. Similarly, I feel that a vaccine that has been rushed into production without adequate testing, risk analysis, or understanding of long-term side effects is just as dangerous. Unlike computer systems where damaged parts can be easily replaced or swapped out, the human body is not so easily repaired when it's irreparably damaged by an untested product. To address the counterpoint that COVID can cause irreparable damage, I'd argue that a vaccine should be tested enough to ensure that the risk that it may cause more damage than the disease it's trying to prevent is as close to zero as possible to ensure enough of the public has confidence in its effectiveness.

Zoom meetings
They really are lame substitutes for real meetings. Especially when done through a tiny smartphone screen. "Zoom meetings" are also like watching the opening of The Brady Bunch.

I get a lot of emails from my volunteer work* and the local library for events, but of course they're all lame "virtual events". It really says "cyberpunk dystopia" to have what should be in real life replaced with "virtual events" on tiny screens.

Why does 2020 have to be so downright insane?

*(they "temporarily" suspended all because of this "pandemic")

But I believe having monkeys fly out of my ass is more likely.

But why? Why destroying half their taxe budget for a mass hysteria? Also little by little people start to snap, and where they will be too many they will just lose control.
You can't cut people bread winner and their meaningful social interaction and expect some long lasting docility

Serious qustion how the corona protein spike look the same as aids? Do it mean the cure corona diagnose is flawed?
They can always print more money raise taxes do whatever to get more cash.

This is a golden opportunity to get boots on necks for the foreseeable future.
