Burning Bridges left and right, basically the centre of constant drama on the Twitter left, doxxing people like @mcrumps, shitting on everyone, causing a minicivil war between the leftcom (and weirdly celeb) simps for her and everyone else that hates her. Literally got her brother to bet thousands on Trump winning the election on Election night, Mocking Michael Brookes as everyone was grieving his death, tweets 10,600 from September to November, Sells fake Chanel bags on Ebay, basically runs through Co-Hosts on What's Left like Tampons.
/snow/ has compiled quite a bit of info on this leftcom trainwreck, but it's interspersed in a generalised thread on your typical Red Scare thot brigade in general. I think at this point Aimee has earned her own spot as a lolcow.

There is so much great content at r/loveafterporn -- this would make a truly excellent OP. It will not be a particularly onerous task: even reading any half dozen threads at random will let you know the absolute craziness that we are dealing with here. Would anyone volunteer to take a look to give their thoughts? Even more, maybe make a thread? Please just spend a few minutes there and report back to let me know whether I am mistaken in thinking we have a much-neglected goldmine.

Emil O. W. Kirkegaard - an autistic alt-right guy from Denmark who founded his own journals because science publications refuse to publish his work. Filed a defamation suit after he was called a pedophile in 2018 but lost; now has to pay back the defendant's legal fees. Infamously wrote a blog post on his website about pedophilia in which he said a "compromise" could be drugging and raping sleeping children (he later claimed this was a "thought experiment"):

Perhaps a compromise is having sex with a sleeping child without them knowing it (so, using sleeping medicine). If they dont notice it is difficult to see how they cud be harmed, even if it is rape.

Also he supports legalising child pornography and suggested lowering age of consent to 13 year olds or younger:

For ‘age of consent’-fiction (people can consent at any age, even babies consent and disconsent to stuff happening to them!), perhaps a dual approach. Either 13 years old or start of puberty, whichever comes first.
There is another potential reason why it is a good idea to legalize child porn.

Then began threatening to file lawsuits against various people who quoted his own words.

"Autism is my superpower". Indeed.

RationalWiki and Encylopedia Dramatica both have articles on him (although latter I think was deleted).

Once upon a time, I was an enraged sperg at Mega64 and wanted to take them down at all costs. My original post got rightfully laughed at. But I got in contact with this guy called Pissmaster, we had an exchange and basically found out more info about Mega64 through each other, basically enough to make an actual thread. There is a lot of crap to skim through, but there's enough to make a case against Rocco Botte's consoomerism. If you are interested in making this thread, here's all of the exchanges I could find.

I don't think they're particularly obscure, but I've never seen anyone point out Mega64's shit. Most people just watch them for their sketches, but they also have a very long running podcast where you really get to see what they're like as people.

I used to watch their podcast religiously, and it actually used to be pretty good. Just a chill chat with the boyz on HOT summer nights every week, and it was fun. The stories they told were pretty interesting, and even a lot of their life advice was stuff I took to heart that was really beneficial for me. It's not all worth a relisten or anything, but the podcast stayed pretty good until maybe around 2015.

The Mega64 boyz aren't young anymore - Rocco was born in December 1984, and the other guys were born sometime around then. Once they started hitting their 30s, it was pretty clear that Derrick and Shawn understandably weren't into it anymore, but I always got a sense that Rocco just has this really dominant personality that's held the group together, with Derrick and Shawn not leaving out of guilt, or something. Derrick wanted to go off and be a proper comedian, and Shawn now has a wife and kids to take care of. It became a running joke that Shawn was just so clearly not into it anymore and tried to cut the podcast as early as possible, along with how he'd just sit there brooding while Rocco talked a mile a minute about whatever PS3 game he was playing at the time, while the other guys just sat there going "yeah, yeah, mmmhmm".

I should state that Shawn's not a bad person at all. I can't remember anything dodgy he ever said, but he just clearly wanted to get home and take care of his kids. Good for him, and Rocco really shouldn't hold him up on the podcast like that. Fuck's sake, the guy never even had much to say. My advice to Shawn would be to:
guile-go-home-and-be-a-family-man-5751_preview.png

Rocco though, hoooo boy, he's 110% shameless and pushy. The podcast started flailing in quality with how many ads they started running, and in a way where you can't skip them - there'd be maybe 20 minutes of show, and they'd slip into their sponsors, one of which was Sumo Lounge, a company that sold $500 beanbag chairs. Their ad reads would go on forever with a lot of bad improvisational comedy, and they kind of ended up leading me to just hate Sumo Lounge. Like, yeah, the product's not for me, but fuck was Rocco annoying about it. There was even one moment where Derrick outright admits that they're not comfy, and I wish I had written down the timestamp for that moment, fuck, dude, that'd be so good for a thread. Though when Lootcrate came along, it was pretty funny to watch them try so hard to pretend like they enjoyed the trash they pulled out of every box every month.

Speaking of annoying things, there was another trend on the podcast for a while where they decided randomly screaming into the microphones was funny. So this is like the one podcast out there where you just can't wear headphones. And another segment where they'd take Skype calls, though at one point they just started answering and hanging up on them immediately, just to be jerks. It's funny the first times, but not so much the 50th time. Especially considering it was mostly teenagers calling up looking for advice. That put a bad taste in my mouth.

Oh, and, shirts. They sell shirts. Were you aware that Mega64 sells shirts? They sure do sell shirts - countless shirts, with new designs ALL THE TIME and they're fairly expensive and printed on whatever's the cheapest stock shirts they can find. And you'll hear about it on every single podcast, often more than once, because Rocco is a salesman first and an entertainer second. They even include "secret prizes" as a perk when you buy them - I bought one a few years ago and my secret prize was a postcard advertisement for a haunted house in San Diego. Great. Thanks for... literally garbage, I guess. Like, I get it, it's a sometimes-you-win, sometimes-you-lose thing, but you could have at least written something silly on it.

By 2016, it was really starting to feel like half the podcast was an ad of some sort. Several sponsors, plus your own merch, and now it's time to actually start the sh-NOPE, THEY HAVE A PATREON TOO!

A Patreon where they paywall videos of themselves playing video games (which as we all know, is a very rare thing on the internet) and they send out blind bags quarterly.

Screenshot_2019-11-23 Mega64 is creating SKITS, SHORT FILMS, PODCASTS AND MORE Patreon.png

Look, I know, a fella's gotta eat. That's fine. But it wouldn't be so damning if Rocco weren't already from a well-off family. He's shown random videos around his homes, once mentioned buying a 65" TV at Costco for his bedroom, and seems to just buy every single game, action figure, iPhone, and Blu-ray that catches his eye. Rocco's also eternally single (or at least keeps his relationships off of the show) and just seems to live the life of a manchild when he's not shilling his tits off. Shit, they even go to Disneyland a few times a year, and Rocco's flown out to Japan several times.

They're also allegedly working on a movie, Mega64 4.1 , but there haven't been any updates since its announcement in 2017. But when the announcement happened? "WE JUST RELAUNCHED OUR PATREON TO HELP EXPEDITE AND ELABORATE OUR PRODUCTION, AND TO RELEASE IT ON TIME" And totally not so Rocco can buy more soy shit like a fucking My Size Darth Vader.

Which he seriously bought, and even Derrick knew that was some fuckin' manchild shit:

Mega64's been around since 2004, two years before YouTube was even founded, and they're only around the 500k subscriber mark. Each of their podcasts still only get around 25k views, and it's been like that for years and years. Treating your fans like magic cash dispensers that you can kick around? Gee, I wonder why you can't break out of stagnation.

I feel like I had a lot more I could say when I stopped watching them, but it's been years now and I never hear anything about them unless I go out of my way to check. I guess I never realized how small their following really is. Unless something's changed recently, I don't know if a thread on them would work, considering Rocco's the only one in the group that seems shitty deep down inside, but he's internet savvy enough to know that shit stays online forever, and not to run his mouth. Derrick's kind of a dick at times, but I think he's a good person deep down. Shawn just wants to be with his family, and Garrett's the kind of person who never gets worked up and keeps his cool. Even their subreddit presence is pretty small, with under 9,000 subs and nothing on the front page currently with over 100 upvotes. Considering they used to run a forum on Mega64 and officially migrated to Reddit, that's... pretty small, for a group that's been active for such a long time.

I never realized it before, but out of their 15 most viewed videos, 12 of them are from over a decade ago. Ouch.

mega64_channel.JPG

So, that's Mega64. A manchild, a dad, a cool guy, and Derrick.

Since the vice president of Rooster Teeth got arrested for being a male feminist who did the kind of things male feminists do, that reminded me about Eric Baudour, who moved onto Rooster Teeth after working for Mega64 for years. Though he's not otherwise worth mentioning.

I used to love watching these losers from California do some video-game themed Jack-Ass skits and short sketches, but over the years, they've grown to become more and more liberal, and less and less willing to push the enveloppe, natural side effect of living in California for so long. Doesn't help that every one of their fans left over are pretty much 100% confirmed SJWs so the echo chamber runs deep.

One of the most egregious examples of this recently is Derrick being an exceptional individual that probably hates spergs and people with autism, and his whole fanbase to be honest, because he thinks that the only reason people have mental issues is because of guns or violence and nothing to do with society, because he's scared that people will call him out for being the elitist faggot that he is: https://youtu.be/cXDVmjwcj80?t=3436

Or not understanding that there are SJWs out there who want free speech banned and cancel culture being a real thing: https://youtu.be/VlsbVgqorrk?t=1208

Rocco's twitter also contains some traces of liberal exceptionalism: https://twitter.com/rocco_botte

Makes sense since his fridge when he was losing weight (his downfall imo) would make Wil Wheaton jealous: https://youtu.be/06O4wo67dAM?t=439

But getting into the real beef that makes Mega64 lolcow worthy is the many other things that their fans never really call them out on. For example, they worked on a movie called Mega64 Version 4.1 for at least since June 2016 (month first teaser came out, but I have strong suspicions that they've been working on it for at least a year before that) and expected to be released in Summer of 2017. Realising this is an unacheivable goal, they decided to keep quiet during the rest of the year, occasionally bringing it up here and there, before everyone forgot about it. As of February 2020, the film has not been released in any form. The last teaser came out in late 2017. Basically the Half-Life 3 of Mega64.

That being said, the die-hard fans will still pour their life savings into their Patreon, on top of their merch, to be fair, as opposed to certain Patreon scams, they do deliver on their promises. If anyone remembers the Funny Factory fiasco where Derrick called everyone stupid for not understanding their new direction of making lazy content for views, it became FriendDimension, for at least $1 a month, you get 2 vids a month that are basically inferior versions of James and Mike Mondays.

But if you are willing to dump in $24 a month, you can get an "exclusive merch item" delivered to your face every couple of months. This is on top of if you want to buy their 64 hour special shirts, their regular shirts, their con-exclusive shirts, their YouTube videos that you can watch for free and 3 seasons of a shitty TV show that nobody cares about, except for the skits, on physical Blu-Ray discs. Hell, their podcast tends to play out more like an informercial of their merch than ever before.

But you know what, making money from stupid fans is fine, but the problem is that all this merch, movie, podcast, and Patreon is getting them away from what did actually make them popular, the short 3-5 minute videos that can be for the most part, filmed over a weekend, especially since this is now their full-time job.

Well, if you're looking forward to just the short vids, I'll be frank and say, it's not the dry spell of short videos that happened from 2014-2018. However, the short videos we get now, with the exception of the new Kingdom Hearts video (not the recent re-release of the old video mind you), miss the point of Mega64 entirely, a couple of guys goofing off. Because they have so much experience with making skits about video games, it gave them an ego, thinking that they're the next David Lynch by making video game skits about the human condition, since they got popular off an old Burger Time skit from 2004 where a Rocco and Derrick fight each other in public with costumes. So now, all the videos have this ultra-cinematic filmmaking and safe, polished writing, which just defeats the original purpose of Mega64.

So what, content creators get shittier over time, nothing new. But I do think that behind this facade of ego is hiding something more sinister, like they're trying to make sure to only prop up select things from their pasts, because they know somewhere along the line, they screwed up big time. This is evidenced by the fact that they copystrike any old podcast highlight that makes them look "problematic".

Here's one of the things that popped up over the years that might be real, not 100% sure, but worth checking into: https://m.imgur.com/r/mega64/y6H8AEt

Usually, I prefer not to not spread some vague rumor, but it seems to be backed up by the existence of this reupload, which the description says the clip was taken down from the original channel, for "unknown" reasons, but notice the subject matter, date uploaded, coupled with Rocco's nervous laugh at 2:55 after cheating is brought up: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X_q2420Rc98

But do not fear if one needs to do in-depth research, because all the past podcasts are located here (minus 285, which I think I might have it backed up somewhere, don't count on it 100%, but if people are interested, I'll try to set up a download link): https://mega64archives.github.io/#/

By the way, the reason 285 is missing is because Rocco got scared into getting it removed by some SJW group on Tumblr at the time.

At the end of the day, it just saddens me that a group I used to look up to, is now petpetually stuck in this infinite loop of deterioration. Rocco now spends all his spare money on figurines, Derrick doesn't even want to be there anymore, he justs wants to be an indie filmmaker and only does Mega64, since his indie music video career hasn't taken off yet. Shawn is basically screwed if Mega64 dies, or he'll leach off his wife, or get another job. Garrett just left his last job in order to do Mega64 full-time, so the only normal one left is in danger of becoming another lolcow. People that used to be entertainers in their early 20s, are now legit man-children in their late 30s who will never grow in anything beyond their small view of the world, hence why the podcast is now a loop of the same 3 or 4 topics talked about over and over again. It's a tragic waste of potential and I'm afraid to say that Mega64 is probably heading the way of the lolcow.

Hey so I wanted to say, I thought your thread was pretty good, just, really rough around the edges. Most people don't care about Mega64 and haven't thought about them in ages, but those of us who stuck with them and watched their podcast for such a long time got to see the cracks slowly form with their bullshit. It's pretty hard to write a thread on them because there isn't really anything huge and sensational to hook onlookers into paying attention, but just tons and tons of little offputting things that got really fucking annoying when you've been watching them for years and years. It was a real "boiling the frog slowly" sort of thing, where all sorts of little shit would just pile up. Rocco would randomly scream "JOHN CENA" out of the blue into the mic (making this the one podcast where you just can't use headphones), Shawn so clearly being disinterested in most video games, and and the fucking endless amount of shameful ads.

So yeah, like, I really really would love to see a thread on them, and I'd write one myself if I had enough material. I haven't watched them for about three years now, since the ol' Trump Derangement Syndrome struck them, and I so wish I had saved timestamps over the years. Problem is, Rocco is pretty internet savvy, and seems to know to keep shit we could use on the down low. Plus, they've got literally over a thousand hours of podcast video to comb through alone, let alone all the other personal channel crap and appearances on other shows. Remember when Garrett said "nigger" on air? I do, but fuck if I know when that was.

So it's hard to know really where to start with a thread, their bullshit is so thinly spread and hard to get a feel for unless you've been watching them for ages. Most people just don't give a shit about Mega64. Their subscriber count is pathetic for a group that had some clout at one point, and has been on YouTube since the very beginning, It's hard to get anyone to care when there's just nothing sensational going on, and their problems are only really noticeable when you hear Rocco shout "our sponsor this week is SUMOLOUNGE DOT COM" for the millionth time

Also, their Discord channel had some raving mad SJWs in it, last time I was there. I've long since left, but Christ almighty that was a nasty group.

Anyway, if you can find your backup of episode 285, send it to me and I'll post it somewhere here for posterity. Or if you can remember anything useful for a thread, anything else that's good to laugh about, let me know

Hey, I'm glad you liked the original post, I'm new here, so I kind of tried to structure my post like the ones of other lolcows, but I think I rushed it, hence the result we have now. I'm not really thinking of taking another stab at it, but if you want to lurk more and build an actual good deconstruction of Mega64 using some of my "findings", or whatever, then by all means do it.

About Mega64 going downhill, I feel that one of the reasons that it's so hard to deconstruct them is because of the literal weeks worth of content. A hint if you want to sift through a ton of content, listen to the audio versions while you do other work, you can get thru a lot that way. Also, for the most part, you can completely ignore thr personal channels, maybe check Rocco's channel here and there, but you should mostly focus the podcast and aftershow, since these are the ones that are not only snapshots of the guys in a specific time, but also the past callers that have all the juicy drama.

Another reason is that the decline isn't linear. Maybe it's just me, but I felt like 2018 was actually a pretty good year for them, the podcast was pretty consistently good, they made another great DBZ video, and no huge controversies. Then 2019 came around and they just pretty much shit the bed from that point on. But in 2015-2017 they were also pretty shit, especially around the time FriendDimension came out, right after their popular Fine Bros video.

At the moment, sponsors in the podcast aren't a huge problem anymore, there's still some, but it's no longer than a minute as opposed to a 10 minute skit about Kickapoo Joy Juice. Hell, I even exaggerated about the merch to be fair, since that feels like it used to be worse too, now, it's a brief 5 minute segment pretty much. Plus, sponsors were part of the show for the longest time (FireMachines anyone?). Also, loudness being something new (JOHN CENA! or whatever) isn't new at all. Podcast 22 (no video even) is literally one giant troll, where the majority of the podcast is very low volume and the punchline is Derrick screaming so loud that it peaks the audio, so the obnoxiously high dynamic range always been, a thing, more or less.

But what I can fault them for is making the stuff inbetween all the sponsor stuff boring as hell. It went from a bunch of really funny behind-the-scenes stories about making their videos and random gross humor, to just becoming another boring and safe geek culture podcast.

I also feel like looking at Mega64 right now from a distance is more akin to an incoming trainwreck, rather than something that's already started to burn. Hence why even someone like Spoony, who has 5 times less subcribers right now, was getting way more attention, because people tuned in right as he was reviewing Twilight breaking down part 1 drunk because his first girlfriend left him.

I do remember YT clips here and there of them saying crazy shit that can't be found anymore, other than in archives, even the Garrett clip (not sure if this is what you're thinking of) where he tells the uncensored tale of how some raciet person called him a nigger over having dreads.

Oh by the way, here's the uncensored Podcast 285, the controversial bit is at the beginning where they talk about Shawn's wife having a dick:
(Need to update the link!)

Mega64 is so vast at this point that it's easy to see how it's so hard to organize any kind of rant or rebuttal that isn't a full-fledged novel. Like I haven't even talked about how many of the HotDiggedyDemon animations have been taken down (though mirrors are super easy to find) for being "too controversial".

That being said, I'd still love for someone to dig deep into Mega64 and do a much better job than I did. Because I feel like there are many things that these guys are trying to hide desperately from their pasts, because their only superfans left are mostly SJWs. And maybe, just maybe, by being completely exposed with their pants down, at least one of them will realise that pandering to this desperate crowd is stupid and move on to greater success by escaping the Mega64 purgatory.

Haha, I remember that conversation about Shawn's wife having a dick. I never thought we'd see that have to be censored, but here we are. And yeah, that's the story, where the guy says his dreads looked "like a nigger".

I didn't even know the HotDiggedyDemon clips were axed, those were great, though I thought about mentioning the Obama's Sumo one, since that encapsulates a good amount of what made them so obnoxious there for a while.

Yeah, the insane amount of content and the whole thing where they just chip away at you over years makes this such a hard thing to really concisely show, but I'm hoping a decent enough thread will get people to come out of the woodwork. I watched their podcast religiously from sometime in 2008 until just after the 2016 election, and I always noticed just how many details they shared about their personal lives, to the point where a crazed fan could outright track them down. And that sort of happened - remember that episode where some fan found their warehouse, and visited them? Apparently one of the guys gave him a quick tour, and when it was brought up on the show, Eric said he'd call the cops on anyone else who tried that. It seemed to really disturb Eric more than anyone else, go figure.

Anyway, I have their 10th anniversary Blu-ray set and I know in one of the commentaries, they discuss working with Lowtax and talk about how great he was, so I figure I'll find that to rip and post. I listened to all the commentary at one point and don't remember anything else that sticks out to me, though. (also, a lot of the extras on it are just trash, scrap footage that's literally just cameras pointed at nothing with people talking about filming in the background. $70 well spent)

But, Mega64 was tightly tied into Something Awful back in their heyday, and Kiwi Farms has a lot of Something Awful refugees since the culture here mirrors early '00s SA, so I'm sure there's gonna be interest, and someone's bound to know something we don't.

Plus, I figure I'll have the thread focus mainly on Rocco, since he seems to be a genuine asshole. It really feels like Derrick and Shawn are just kind of being dragged along, and don't wanna jump ship because it's easy money, though it was starting to get palpable how much Derrick wanted to get some kind of his own thing going, and Shawn just wanted to spend his Mega64 time on his family instead. Garrett's just along for the ride, he's got his Poorly Played Stream and could just stand on his own if he were so inclined. The relationship drama with Rocco, though, and how much of a fucking consoomer whore he is (and his terrible personal channel) really make it clear that he's a lolcow. A slippery lolcow, but I'm sure there's gotta be enough material on his transgressions to make a thread.

-----------------

I guess the best way to describe 2018 for Mega64 was mostly inoffensive. I'm probably heavily biased, because I was in full-on nostalgia mode from watching these guys back in the day, but I felt like 2018 was just a comfy balance: No overly long sponsor spots, not a whole lot that was very political, topics were still interesting. Then again, I was so into it at the time, I might be missing pieces here and there, but I knew that if they ever did say something really stupid (like during the Funny Factory era), I would have probably picked up on it. I mean, Derrick shilled Bill Nye's show while wearing tiger face paint in mid-2017 and I thought that was shitting the bed back then.

But I did pick up on what happened in the beginning of 2019, when Derrick straight up said that Todd and Aaron were guilty of being edgelords. Like of course they're bad role models, but Derrick straight up said in a pretty woke fashion that we're not "getting" Todd and Aaron. And that just set the tone of the podcast for the rest of 2019. Here's the clip btw: https://youtu.be/N-D06e0NAEc?t=2211

I feel like that was kind of the first big betrayal to me. If I had one word to describe Derrick, it would be "frustrating". It's clear that he's talented in many ways, and I'm glad he's there to keep the show from stagnating by lighting the fire under the others' butt, unfortunately, one of his many ways of being bold is to have really stupid takes on stuff. Or, he's the most honest and open of them, and they all (except for Garrett) believe all this shit now. That's probably why my initial post kinda sucked, because Derrick was the most frustrating to me out of them all, because of his potential to be legit great.

But you are correct, Rocco is definitely the real lolcow out of all of them (doesn't help that he's the founder of Mega64). I just remembered that something did end up making me cringe in 2018 (starting with podcast 498), when Rocco started becoming a caricature of himself by unironically wearing clothes from fast food chains like McDonalds and Little Ceasars.

Speaking of which, instead of making funny short skit videos or goofing off with friends (unboxing ring) like he used to, now, he makes crappy vlogs and figure updates of Power Rangers and Evangelion (no wonder Hideaki Anno hates his fans).

Oh, and occasionally, he'll think he's the next David Lynch and upload something "deep" and experimental. This started in the last episode of Unboxing Ring, which i'll admit was a great twist at the end. Then there was the final Academy of Pronunciation, which was becoming pretentious in the middle, but had a pretty interesting idea involving retroactively making a prequel to a completely random video from 5 years ago. Then there was Grill, which was just a film student short trying to be a David Lynch movie as much as possible.

About what's still out there in terms of Mega64, there's still some interesting tidbits. First off, the Obama Sumo animation is still up on the official channel, but the Man from Nairobi and Garrett + Crispy are gone from there. Like I said, a simple YouTube search will bring up mirrors of those, so they're not lost.

Also still up on the main channel, Marcus the Puppet (Shawn) interviewing none other than Dick Masterson: https://youtu.be/PtVhLU6A664

But here's a deleted personal channel video of them "interacting" with a special con attendee: https://youtu.be/-0SlnmBkJqo

Also, there's also apparently a lost personal channel video of Shawn and Eric fucking with Philip DeFranco, which lead to this pretty funny moment: https://youtu.be/T3XHMy0ULVs

Those are all the videos I can think of on top of my head at the moment, of course there's more interesting stuff, mainly in the archives or possible re-uploads.

-------------------

But if you're planning on putting in the Ashley/Charlotte drama with Rocco, I feel like there needs to either be more evidence dug up to corroborate this theory (look at after-shows from early 2015 to see when Ashley/Charlotte stopped calling, also look into Rocco's "Break from the Internet"), or that this relationship drama is stated as pure speculation, if included at all. I want you to avoid the traps I fell into in my original post.

As for the amount of stuff revealed in podcasts and personal channel vids, it's gotta be up there with Chris-Chan, if people are willing to hunt down every detail from every video. But for now, I'm giving out what I can remember from the gang's past and present antics. Anyways, I do think that Mega64 has the potential to be lolcow material in some way, especially Rocco Botte.

But anyways, if you're planning to make an epic Mega64 thread, make sure that you take your time to structure it well, so you don't fall on your ass like I did in the original post. Have fun!

[Part 2 of 2]

It's been a while since I last sent a message, but I too had irl stuff to take care of. But I did find a couple of interesting things about Mega64 since last time.

I was listening to the older podcasts and HOLY SHIT! They sound so young and energetic, compare their 2020 voices to their 2008 voices, they sound like chipmunks in 2008, but in a good way, almost adorable sounding. After listening to the boring 2017-2020 podcasts, hearing their 2008 voices feels like listening to your old friends' voices when they were 10 years old.

Also huge difference in terms of discussions, not just Rocco talking about either Power Rangers, Star Wars, or Disney in general (parks and animation) for half an hour straight. He was able to let the others speak and give the podcast a great dynamic. Also, the subjects were more varied and not always rooted in nerd culture or drama/politics.

I thought since I was casually checking out some of the old podcasts, I can highlight some of the things I found.

Also, for some reason, I was listening to Rocco's latest episode of his solo stream called Futureprobe in the background, maybe I hate myself. But out of the blue, someone asks Rocco what are the most expensive items he bought and it makes his large size Darth Vader look like a logical purchase. Check out his answers: https://youtu.be/o8jzfd5a__U?t=3255

The Metal Gear arm, though overpriced and oversized, looks like it could be a cool arm to display and hold something in it: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/25734

But the Power Rangers Megazord is a bit much, it's even taller than the arm and pretty much just a 13 inch tall robot that Rocco bought because it's from the Power Rangers brand, and it will stand in the corner, doing nothing but collecting dust:

Now, I don't hate people for having a couple of little figurines from their favorite cartoons or anime that inspire them on their desk at work or kids playing out different scenarios with action figures, but when you collect hundreds upon hundreds of figurines, with each singular figurine costing between $50-$100, just to showcase them on a shelf in the background, then I think it might be time for a bit of an intervention. Not to mention, great use of Patreon money.

Something that might be of interest is that the Mega64 crew, or at the very least Frank had connections with Kelly Marie Tran at one point, who played Rose Tico in The Last Jedi, as confirmed in this clip: https://youtu.be/ULaFnYZIafI?t=1864

And she stars in these fine Frank Howley productions:

The Funny Factory saga also needs to be mentioned, because that is one of their biggest collective lolcow moments as a group. After a viral hit with their React parody of the Fine Bros (plot twist: they worked with the fine bros afterwards), they decided to shit out previews of their awful "shows" for Patreon. People realized that Mega64 was becoming lazy, complained about it, and a lot of people unsubscribed. And then, in classic Mega64 fashion, Derrick said that people that had constructive criticism should seek psychological help: https://youtu.be/HGy-BIrSy4w

I found this 4chan thread that has better quality pictures (actually readable) of Charlotte and Ashley talking about Rocco, note that Charlotte also dated Sam Hyde, there are some connections between Mega64 and Sam Hyde, though Garrett is the only actual Hyde fan. Here it is: https://archive.4plebs.org/tv/thread/100768533/#100774123

Also, I tried finding older tweets from Rocco, but the first viewable tweet I found was this random tweet from 2017: http://archive.is/QXitb

Something tells me Rocco is trying to hide something from the past. His recent Twitter is still good if you want to laugh at his consoomerism. Apparently, he wants to put his latest "feature length" Figure Update in actual movie theaters, from these tweets:

Anyways, fun stuff. Enough fun stuff for a thread I hope. Not exactly an excellent author myself, but I thought I could help out using some of the things I know. Anyways, take care.

---------------------

Excellent finds! Shit, that's a lot.

Great work finding the very first Dick Masterson discussion, that was the very first time I ever heard of Dick. There was one tweet from 2016 when Dick talked to Shawn Chatfield about having him as a guest on the podcast, but nothing ever came of that. They seemed to have completely disconnected from Dick Masterson, though there was one moment where Dick read a comment Garrett left, and I timestamped it: The Dick Show Episode 66, 1:16:36 - so at least we know Garrett listens.

That bit with Lowtax reminds me that I need to comb through and record the commentary from their 10th anniversary Blu-ray where they talked about Lowtax helping them out.

And yeah, I used to watch some of Rocco's videos on his figures from time to time, and if anything made the constant pushing of sponsors and merch feel like he was just taking advantage of the audience, it was those. Though, personally, and I know this sounds weird, but first-person videos where Rocco shows off stuff trip me out because his hands look exactly like mine. Like, to such a surreal extent that it kind of confuses my brain in a weird way. It's hard to describe.

It's pretty amazing that Frank Howley knew someone who ended up in Star Wars. That guy always seemed positive and upbeat, I listened to a couple of podcasts he recorded on his own, one of which where he interviewed Garrett, and... it was fine, no complaints. He's just not interesting and doesn't have the charisma to keep people interested in whatever he's doing, and he never really seemed to know what he wanted to do, like, he wants to be a filmmaker, but has no film to make.

The Funny Factory saga, yeah, that was a trip. Come to think of it, that might have been the point where I started getting disillusioned with Mega64, with how arrogant they got with those videos. That saga might work as the hook for the thread, so I've gotta see if their previews are still up.

I never knew Mega64 had any connection with MDE. That's big, and Mega64's fanbase would loathe the connection if it were more publicly known.

There are some Twitter scraping programs out there, some people posted some in this thread: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/archival-tools.6561/page-5 though I've never used one before. Rocco really does feel like he's hiding stuff, I agree, and from that post on 4chan where Ashley talked about Rocco cheating on her, I can totally see. Rocco's shown some strange bouts of coldness in the past randomly on the podcast, he seems to have the ability to just blow off anyone who's inconveniencing him without any qualms whatsoever. I don't think Rocco's like, a full blown sociopath, but that's... kind of in the ballpark. I've had a feeling that Rocco has somehow held Mega64 together over the years despite Derrick and Shawn clearly wanting to move on, and I don't know how he's managed to keep Garrett on board despite Garrett occasionally putting it out there that he's all kinds of redpilled.

I never knew the Mega64 rabbit hole was as deep as it is. When I was a fan, I didn't pay any mind to the boyz' relationships or anything, and I always knew you had to dig deep for the drama. Never visited the Mega64ums more than a few times, either. I had Rocco friended on Facebook at one point, but I've long since jumped ship from there, and I know he unfriended me at some point, so, there goes that.

Thanks for all the info dude, this is fantastic. By the way, do you have any of their DVDs? Specifically any from the "Time" series? I only ever bought Version 1 and 2 (first prints from Something Awful) and their 10th anniversary DVD. They might have some commentary tracks that might be helpful.

--------------------

It's been a while yet again, sorry, but I guess Coronavirus happened (not to me, but to the rest of the world), so that's something new. No, I don't have any of the DVDs. I was a fan too young to buy online (12 years old, only into the sketches) and kinda lost interest after that. I only got back into it because of nostalgia and needing something to listen to while working. And since then, I've had a lot of time to listen to the podcast and I've absorbed a lot of little details about the lore.

That being said, I think there's enough stuff in all of my past posts to start a legit thread, but I might be wrong. I do however think the Coronavirus gave us some interesting reactions from the crew.

For example, Derrick had this really weird rant, could be him being edgy, but there's a strange sincerity to it, I don't know. Could be a bad reading, but check it out for yourself: https://youtu.be/7WkUjTB5tE8?t=2701

But of course, since Rocco was indoors with all the time in the world, he had time to indulge in his passions. However, since Rocco borrowed Shawn's copy of American Movie, 3 years ago, it's become a running gag that Rocco would be "too busy" to watch it. It's really pathetic in this case, because he'll watch Frozen 2 and the entire run of the original Japanese Power Rangers, but god forbid a funny movie about filmmaking take up 2 hours of his Ranger Time. He straight up sounds like Linkara in this clip: https://youtu.be/7WkUjTB5tE8?t=3756

Other than that, Shawn is (understandably) worried about his family and such. Garrett is bunkering up off the grid as usual, and this is also the perfect time to beef up the Patreon, since Mega64 is being hit hard, so they will flood Patreon with Let's Plays and behind-the-scenes of 15 year old videos (might be something of interest, but probably not): https://youtu.be/7WkUjTB5tE8?t=3520

Also, all of the Funny Factory previews are up (as far as I know). It's been agreed that the best of the worst was FriendDimension (it's now the one Patreon-exclusive show), since it's just a straight up let's play with the Mega64 guys as opposed to an Anime Reaction show with no anime (cuz you know copyright) and a wannabe MST3K with web videos and bad awkward commentary. Here's the previews:

FriendDimension 1: https://youtu.be/Li-bkEuaMXY

FriendDimension 2: https://youtu.be/hqnXpwr2Idg

FriendDimension 3: https://youtu.be/VHD_daTYHdE

Web Rip 1: https://youtu.be/tM_9FFAGy68

Shawnime 1: https://youtu.be/xAXS9q6JVGI

Shawnime 2: https://youtu.be/P5w-udTlpKk

Shawnime 3: https://youtu.be/5lQEJfeyErg

I think that all there is for now, on top of my head. I'm hoping other people come in with some spicy extra info once you start the thread, and the Coronavirus saga might be something to watch a bit more closely, but for now, I think that this is enough to start a way better Mega64 discussion thread.

Rocco from Mega64 is proud that a Mega64 fan told the LAPD police chief to suck his dick (as if that's gonna help end racism in the police force)

Also today's 6/4 day (delayed 1 week due to the importance of riots), so they'll be streaming all day, if anyone is feeling spergy enough to go rain on their parade.

Funny how many "apolitical" entertainers have become batshit full-time activists over this incident. I do think what happened to our boy George Floyd is wrong, obviously, and Derek Chauvin deserves a prison sentence. But I don't get why so people who have no knowledge or interest in politics all of a sudden have an urge to become saviours of the world after this one small incident in particular (brownie points I guess). Not to mention, 97% of it is gonna end up making the situation worse, due to everyone only being able to blame each other instead of working together to make this world a better place.

That's pretty much it. I've become a bit more coherent over the years, but I don't have the energy anymore to closely analyse these pages upon pages of lolcow behavior to compile a solid list. This is why I'd like for a good author to try and make something out of this mess, because I think there's a great thread opener buried in here somewhere.

A Hard Rock Nick Update
Nick has been up to a lot as of late: he is on TikTok (I would check it out now because i think he is going to go private soon), but that is not as funny as it is cringeworthy, he is back to private on instagram and has been banning multiple accounts (he screens accounts on Insta it's like applying to a college to follow him) Nick has also been trying to sell his used crap on Craigslist and Starsona. He has been exposed by FakeFlexingFelicia and DeepthroatBDN multiple times in 2020, he was even accused of grooming. He doubled down on his nonsense in a Youtube Live, he has also been back on the Jason Ellis Podcast. He has also added new claims to his repertoire claiming to have been in a relationship with Taylor Swift for 6 months, and to be opening an LA casino. I'm sure everyone has seen the Drew Gooden, Pyrocynical, Tosh.0, and YMH videos by now. I can tell he is trying to dial back his inappropriate behavior, he has removed some of his iconic posts and has deleted most of his live content. I also believe his instagram followers are fake! This dude is really the ideal mold of an lolcow, milk him for everything he is worth HAHAHA!
This is straight up bull, i have not been considering going private on TikTok, I only ban hater and people that annoy me blatantly, I am currently trying to get both BDN and Fake Flexing Felicia blocked!, I don't sell my shit on Craigslist, or Starsona, I am dating Taylor Swift for real! I finished building the LA casino you douche! And for the millionth time my IG followers are real!!!!

He's a white supremacist who streams his Omegle encounters that mostly consist of yelling racial slurs in character. Most of it is funny, but it's not an act. From what he claims, he was a member of the press who had his life ruined by ANTIFA after punching a member in self defense. They then doxed him multiple times, harassed his family, and threw bricks through his window. He was also banned from his local gym. This harassment led to a right wing radicalization that transformed him into what he is now. A real life Joker origin story and a tragic tale if true. He does own a gun that shoots out the gamer word.

Perhaps he's not threadworthy but I'm going to put him here since he seems really keen on staying on the farms. I can't make a thread myself since I am unsure of the guy's saga here and wouldn't know where to start. I.think he might have had been on the pyrocynical thread as well.

Edit: he opened a q & a thread.

Does GypsyCrusader deserve his own thread? He may be the closest thing we have to an IRL Joker.
For those who don't know, he was a journalist who became a white-supremacist after BLM fucked over him and now spends his days streaming himself calling other people niggers in Omegle.

He's been getting DdoSED hard recently, He moved from YouTube to Dlive but they were both taken down almost immediately.

There was one stream the other night where he matched a Jewish kid who was probably no older than 14. Gypsy flipped his shit at the kid after he said he was apart of God's chosen people and basically threatened him. It should be in this video, but he might have edited it out of the reupload.

Here's one where he calls a toddler a not nice word that starts with N while dancing to techno.

Found this one dude on instagram that I think would make for a great thread. He goes by MrLonnieClark9000. He's a furry, weeb, gamer, and "sled bitch" who makes badly edited memes and images featuring himself and multiple different dog characters from movies like Balto, Lady and the Tramp, and Bolt. He's shamelessly stated multiple times that he wants to fuck the animal characters from these films and makes posts/edits featuring himself involved in sexual acts and situations with them. He really likes Steele (the husky from Balto) in particular. His insta, tiktok, and youtube channel are an absolute goldmine for laughs.

Yonkers aka Jordan Riviera,a white man from Yonkers ,New York
I am not exactly sure when and where but he posted his face on 4chan (i think it was on dying threads but i am not to sure) and someone noticed and dig them up and found out where he lives.

Well to put it shortly he draws a comic.
nothing 2.png
mittens 4.png

He regulary posts on /bant/ and some proxxy chan that hasn't been deleted yet.when it eventually gets deleted he moves to the next one.
saved in the wayback machine but archived just for the sake of archiving not much worth checking without knowing some context.

He has a diaper fetish. When he admitted he licked shit once and people started adding 2+2 together and figured he also has a poop fetish. He is to /bant/ what Andy logposting is to /b/. But besides being usual autist (he has autism and calls it funtism)for exp. thinking his mom is the catmom he draws in his comic. What sets him apart is that he is arguing with trolls more then talking about his comic.
press f.png

When i first met him on the /bant/ (before realizing it is nothing but children and discord degenerates board) i randomly entered his thread typed in faggot and he started to replying to me how he isn't a faggot. Next couple of days i would enter his thread and tried to talk about his comic nicely but he was always more interested with arguing with trolls then having a discussion about his comic.

And finally (there might be more stuff but i am not sure if he is lolcow so i am keeping it simple) how do you know it is the same person on anonymous website? Well he has been responding to people over a year, everyday all day. Every time there is thread with his face he will come in and say something and if you question if it is really him don't worry he will post a timestamp with his face to completely btfo you.

Here is some of his autism.

spaceman and croatian anon are his recurring enemies. They refer to him as Joshie because /bant/ is saying he killed himself in november 2019 and his little brother Joshie is larping as Jordan now. That resulted in some more autism.

There's this streamer I've been following for a little while now that definitely needs a thread, his name is Nicholas Stabile III, he's been banned off of multiple sites and he streams every week from thursday to the weekend, currently at https://www.vaughn.live/theoddkast

He's got a small cult following already but I think he's worthy of a much larger audience he's got a wiki and social medias for more information, I would've linked the discord but it recently got purged by his fanbase

Youtube video is when he got swatted back in march of this year
I'm shocked this white trash loser hasn't received a thread yet. What a tool.

Abd Lomax.png

76 year old dementia patient, conspiracy theorist and promoter of cold-fusion pseudoscience, who is literally insane, pretends to be a Muslim (but his actual religious views are an odd mix of Sufism, New Age and Buddhism), also has internet addiction disorder. Abd has a digital footprint stretching back to the 1990s, if not earlier; he's been banned from almost every website he's ever posted on for harassment and trolling including: Wikipedia, Wikiversity, Meta-Wiki, RationalWiki, Off-Wiki, Encylopedia Dramatica, Wikipediocracy, Lenr-Forum, discord servers, etc. After getting banned from all these websites, he began stalking and attacking those he considers responsible for banning him, getting into year-long feuds and then threatening them with defamation lolsuits. In 2019 he filed a lolsuit against the WMF (who own Wikipedia) and several other co-defendants for libel. The lolsuit went nowhere and was dismissed by a judge.

Abd is quite infamous so you can dig up a lot of weblinks on him:

Most recently he has been criticised for his defence of pedophile Nathan Larson:

Chi Long Qua, also known as Road to Reformation, Reformerer, or just Leo.

He used to be a hilarious Dota 2 troll that used a voice changer and made hilarious videos back in 2014/2015.

Somewhere around 2016 he started streaming, became boring and repetitive, then in 2017 he dropped the voice changer and changed his channel name from Chi Long Qua to Road to Reformation.

He is notoriously toxic to people and his chat, and I'm assuming is bipolar.

He did a face reveal back in 2018.
20210101_231115.jpg

He now switches between streaming as Leo on youtube: https://youtube.com/c/Reformerer

And Chi Long Qua on twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/chilongqua?sr=a

He is a militant vegan that experiences frequent mental breakdowns. This is part of his most famous mental breakdown, he took down the full video https://youtu.be/AjRZOy6H6yY

https://youtu.be/StyFEeor6Ak This is one of his numerous flipouts.

Most of his old fanbase now makes fun of him behind his back, he pretty much hates streaming and the character, but does it for the money.

Also, there was a phase where he streamed being homeless, living in his car, but he took down all those streams.

The problem with making a full thread is that most people outside of Dota have never heard of him, and he deletes most of his streams and videos. Also, I don't know jack shit about this website other than it makes fun of lolcows, so I don't know where to even put a thread on him.

Can I make a thread on this guy on internet famous?

Not sure if this counts? But Steve Blum really needs a KiwiFarms thread given he has gone retarded in recent years during the Trump era and voted for infamous pedo Joe Biden because Blue Man Good. Ironic as he has become what he hated the most. An extremist. lol

Worked on many shows but more focused on animation and video games than he does live-action.

His Twitter outbursts are even funny given he acts retarded and tries to rat out his neighbors to the cops, but they told him to fuck off.
