Update:
According to a Scottsdale police report, Giligin's employees told police that Gionet and his friends were asked to leave after their filming made people uncomfortable.
After the Mace attack, someone watching the livestream called Scottsdale police to tell them that Gionet had since moved his livestream to Tempe. Police then arrested him on Mill Avenue and confiscated a can of Mace.
When interviewed by police, Gionet reportedly told them he was "influencer" and has involvement with HBO and Netflix. He said that people will often call places where he is streaming to try and get him thrown out.
Gionet claimed that the bouncer was advancing on him and he was "in fear of his life" when he deployed the pepper spray.
Police then showed Gionet a video of the confrontation and he laughed when it showed him and his friends making homophobic and derogatory remarks towards the bouncer.
When the officer asked if the video would show the bouncer advancing towards Gionet, he said another angle would be needed. When the officer said the video showed the whole encounter, Gionet said he no longer wanted to speak with the officer.
Gionet was released at 12:25 p.m. Friday without bail. His next hearing is scheduled for the Tuesday after next at 10:30 a.m.
Police report the bouncer was initially unable to open his eyes due to the pepper spray but refused treatment by fire department medics and was recovering fine.
