Seeing those portal relays broken...
They use the perfect ending (only reachable with that free DLC or spending time in the multiplayer). In that the reapers are destroyed but Shepard survive with a large deep breath near the end of the cgi
I'm sure they gonna fucked up again, and i don't fucking care.

If true, good. That's the only ending that could even lead to a decent continuation of Mass Effect.

If people want to throw a shit fit because it doesn't include the endings that have everlasting peace over the galaxy...well, what did you expect? Those endings had everlasting peace over the galaxy.

(that being said, the continuation will still be total dogshit cause modern bioware)

I really hated how much some developer thought his blue waifu was so important she's pretty much the default love interest. I wouldn't be surprised if they make Liara's daughter be on your team and she's Shepard's daughter too just to cement that fact like George Lucas insisting Han shot second. Ashley, Miranda, Jack are all better. Mass Effect 3 really suffered for how much the ME2 characters weren't allowed to join in. Miranda is harder to kill in ME2's Suicide Run than Garrus or Tali but they got to show up again.

Tali is best fight me IRL

As much as I was a huge fan of the first and second Mass Effect games, and ambivalent about the third because of the unsatisfying endings, my expectations are really low for this one if it involves the same people who went on to create Andromeda. Hell, what is even left of Bioware at this point? I guess enough to try and reboot Dragon Age, which I also am dubious of.

But I will admit I kinda got a bit of heartstring tug upon seeing what I presume is Liara picking up the fragment of Shepard's N7 armor.

I mean, this could be okay if its about Shepard trying to unfuck the galaxy right after the Reapers are vanquished and all the old grudges start flaring back up. Big threat defeated, but why rebuild when you can take from your nemeses? The Council races almost certainly hate mankind over Udina and Cerberus, and someone was left unhappy as all fuck thanks to the genophage arc, either the Salarians or the Turians, and you've got the krogans back with their population starting to recover (aided by genophage or even not since they probably made out the best compared to everyone else due to their smaller numbers) and everyone else devastated by the Reapers. Don't introduce a threat, don't hint at a threat, just make it galactic politics, and Shepard, as one of the few living Spectres and hero of the Reaper Invasion, has to try and make sure things don't completely fall apart in the aftermath as everyone starts threatening full-scale war.

After ME 3 the series is dead to me. But if they make the 'Destroy' ending canon and the whole thing is Shepard revived trying to unfuck the galaxy and rebuilding the relays, I MIGHT be interested. Considering its been a long time past and Andromeda bombed. Destroy was the ending everyone OVERWHELMINGLY chose, despite those retarded faggots trying to shoe-horn in the 'perfect' ending with Synthesis (which was the least chosen ending).

But honestly, the series is really dead to me after 3. Its hard for me to muster up much, if any, interest.

EDIT:
I got a lot of 'Search for Spock' vibes from that trailer. I think going away from Shepard would be a mistake. But Bioware is fucking retarded, so that's what they'll probably do.

Honestly if Mass effect's franchise ended at 2 or 3 I would have been happy. Considering the main threat of the original games isn't really relevant anymore, i guess that just kinda makes me dumbfounded on what they'll use that holds up to how interesting the reapers were to me. I didn't bother with andromeda bc i heard it was trash and alsoi guess it had no captivating factors for me.

Geth companion return when
And please for the love of god not some quirky written robutt
Give me the legion experience

God Legion was the best character in the games if I can be honest.

I bought Andromeda despite all the warning signs & that was my mistake, I'll definitely keep an eye on this one but I'm not invested & not expecting much from it.

If they go with the destroy ending as canon then that's nice, because I didn't put up with the reapers shit for 3 games not to exterminate the fuckers as soon as I had the chance.

First of all, A Mass Effect sequel after Andromeda?
Already dead.gif

Also you are deluded if you think they are going to canonize an ending or utilise Shepard any way outside of vague references. They will either do a deus ex tier cop out where all the endings happened in some way or handwave it with "Shepard activated the crucible and ended the Reaper threat" with no further elaboration.

Lastly, of course they used Liara. She has been the writers pet since the first game. She was the only character that could be romanced by both genders, she was the only companion that was integral to the main quest, as good as LOTSB was, it was fundamentally a Liara story. Hell, just tally her screen time in ME3 compared to anyone else, they absolutely wanted her to be the canon love interest.

Also i'm willing to place a wager on them reusing the scrapped 'Dark Matter' plot for this game.

My Shepherd was a borderline autistic asshole who got all of his social interactions from 80s action movies.

I romanced Jack, all other choices are inferior to a woman who can crush your ribcage to splinters with a flick of her wrist
