Stumbling on this thread minutes ago was literally the first I've heard of it.

Im gonna cry if the new game's premise is that you play as Liara between 1 & 2, I will flip out.

Although Mass Effect 3 had a pretty lazy endings, the larger implications of those endings make for a really tough sequel, likely why Andromeda didn't even try and just went to another galaxy.
Well they could just do a Drakengard/Nier and say that this game follows on from a specific ending (maybe leaving room open for other games for the other endings). This would probably not go over well because although Nier is technically a sequel to Drakengard the connection is not explicit (Nier is a continuation of the worst ending on Drakengard, the joke ending), and player of ME might be unhappy with Bioware invaliding their chosen ending.
Anyway setting it between 1 and 2 is probably going to be easiest, so it's probably a good bet.

If she was lesbian or it was jacob's black ass they would've been writing articles with headlines like "ME2 is HELLA PROGRESSIVE and we STAN".

Reading all that shit reminds me how the ME3 ending contributed to whole game journalists thinking they are actual journalists. Clearly soyware was right in saying there are 500 endings but in the end you just pick a color of the explosion and nothing you did mattered anyway, and even if it did, the relays exploded so everyone is stuck wherever they were in the new dark age. It's called artistic vision and you can't question it, incel gamer.

DA2, Inquisition, Andromeda and Anthem are all shit, the last good game they made was 2010. Why do people expect anything good to come out of this? Even in fantasy world where the game comes out decent, I wouldn't be able to forget that everything that happens in mass effect universe leads to casey hudson and germ jurnlists tranny jannys shitting on your face, in 3 colors.
