It just won't be worth it since we can't have Zaeed show up and say something like "My face is GOD DAMN tired."

that game also had tranny shit. i aint touching anymore biowear games.
The character was only there so the Bioware writers virtue-signal and get good ally points. In the vanilla version, the first time you met her, she says that "my name is [name] and I used to be called [old name]". It was so forced and - of course - unnecessary. The trannies got upset, so Bioware published a memo then patched that line, the trannies were still upset, so Bioware patched it again and the ended up removing everything related to her tranny status. Now when you talk to that character, she says the usual generic excuse for being there: "been there, done that".I remember that character, their dialogue was basically "Hi, I'm trans. Let me tell you what it's like being trans in space.Being trans is hard." which annoyed the alphabet army so they had to alter it.
Well, that's what writers think when they write trans characters. Because troons are so fucking obnoxious about it.I remember that character, their dialogue was basically "Hi, I'm trans. Let me tell you what it's like being trans in space.Being trans is hard." which annoyed the alphabet army so they had to alter it.
Thats why you dont bother having trans characters besides showing how fucked up a villain is.I remember that character, their dialogue was basically "Hi, I'm trans. Let me tell you what it's like being trans in space.Being trans is hard." which annoyed the alphabet army so they had to alter it.
Or just have it be in the direct aftermath of the Destroy ending with galactic civilization picking up the pieces and everyone's eyeing everyone else as targets now that the Reapers are gone and there's endless spoils to fight for. The Citadel was destroyed when the Catalyst fired, so there's no more "neutral" diplomatic spot, and the Council is rather toothless now with their fleets destroyed by the Reapers and their planets still rebuilding, so there's all sorts of breakaway factions and secessionists and the Geth and Quarians aren't exactly seeing eye-to-eye since they're both worried each of them will turn on the other in a sort of Prisoner's Dilemma.I always said that the best "setting" for an ME 4 is to set it like, 500 years later after Destroy and, oh look, the Geth are still around. Why? Simple, just say the starbrat was lying, thats right, would it be a retcon? Yes...but lets face it, no one would give a shit. Destroy was practically perfect minus destroying the Geth and EDI. And as for Shepard? Just say they survived and lived the rest of his/her life as a space hero living off the royalty of vids with their romantic interest.
I imagine only Grunt and Liara could possibly appear in the game, especially the former given the Krogan would definetly need an update post genophage cure (again, just go with the genophage getting cured with Wrex and Eve around) and Grunt would no doubt be a Krogan clan chief on his physical prime (given how he is a genetically enhanced Krogan, he no doubt would grow up to be pretty much a krogan demi god equivalent).
The Krogan could possibly have some internal conflict over their new and old selves. What if the krogan think they are straying TOO far from their warrior origins? Maybe the number of warriors has decreased while the number of scholars and non combat careeers has increased a lot. Im sure a lot of krogan would have an issue with them losing their identity and becoming "pussies". And your new protagonist could have a say in the matter, either siding with the "classic" Krogan (more honest to their roots but argurably dangerous and the very reason why the genophage was made on the first place) or the "new" Krogan (more integrated in galactic politics, less likely to flip out into murderous battle rage but are slightly weaker than "classic" krogan). Meanwhile Grunt is just trying to keep both sides from tearing each other, it wouldnt help that both his mentors, Shepard and Wrex, arent around anymore...
Again, that is just one setup I imagined that could build off what ME 3 had naturally. It gives something for our new protagonist to solve and no doubt a Krogan crew member could come from that.
Dont try to be more "epic" than the OG trilogy, be its own thing, have powerful threats but dont make them discount reapers.
Then again I might as well use this creative for my own works instead of doing Bioware's job

Tell me ONE single memorable trans hero. Then ONE memorable trans villain.
Guess which you can think of one first...

Cue the new Councilors calling up Shepard to make sure the galaxy doesn't go to shit now that the Council's powerbase is broken and they're powerless to keep the old grudges from flaring up. And have all of Shepard's old squadmates doing their own thing, so he has to get new ones. Garrus ended up as Primarch in the aftermath thanks to everyone else being dead, Liara is heading up Prothean research on Thessia and trying to keep everyone from snatching what little tech there is left after the Reapers and Kai Leng started smashing things, Grunt's got his own clan, Wrex has muscled his way into being the ruler of all Tuchanka and not just the Urdnot clan and has the expected issues with unruly Krogan, Tali's desperately trying to keep Rannoch from falling to war yet again, James and whoever survived Virmire got snatched back up by the Alliance to rebuild the N7 program (along with a hefty promotion they're not turning down, especially Ashley), and everyone else is just doing their own stuff. Jack's got an orphanage, Jacob has a family, Miranda's... doing whatever, Kasumi's doing what Kasumi does, Zaeed has rebuilt the Blue Suns into a legitimate PMC, etc.
Is an epilogue really all that bad though given Shepard's story so far? Not everything has to be a galaxy-ending crisis (unless you're BioWare). And Shepard, done? You don't get N7 training if you give up, nor if you're a Spectre. Further, not a single one of the big events in your backstory (War Hero, Sole Survivor, Ruthless), indicates anything other than a willingness to tough out nasty shit, no matter what.
I kinda hate to break it to you, but Commander is not a low rank at all. Its high enough to be given your own independent command, say... of a frigate, which is a massive responsibility and every naval officer's wet dream. He/she is also rated "N7", which is roughly equivalent to the sorts of IRL special forces operatives that the guys like the SEALs and SAS speak of in hushed tones. We're talking "He once killed three krogan in a bar with an omni-pencil" levels of badass.low rank soldier

EDIT: More seriously, a drunk off his ass, freshly graduated Anderson was doing a magnificent job clearing out a shithole bar in the Wards all by himself with his bare hands until someone nailed him in the back with a table.. or he fell down, but that last bit seems a little unlikely.
Along with many...MANY other companies that did the same mistake, like Visceral Games...Their's no way enough of bioware is left to pull it off it's mostly just ea suits and anyone stupid enough to thinks writting gay characters is origional. Bioware is dead, leave it corpse on display as warning to anyone stupid enough to consider jumping into bed with Ea.

What bothers me the most is that in-universe there's quarian porn. In ME2 you can buy a porno mag called Fornax which caters to human xenophiles, in the codex entry it mentions that most species are featured. So in-universe Shepard knows what Quarians look like, they just make it a mystery to the player for some dumb reason.I think I've said it before, but this is the perfect example of BioWare's world building. It's not just that lazy about Tali, it's the whole Quarian race. The Quarians interacted with the Council races before the Geth, if I remember right part of the reason why they tried to shut the Geth down was because of the Council's anti-AI laws. Despite there, no one knows what they look like under their suits. Which means the Galactic internet has no pictures of Quarians, no one has ever done an autopsy on Quarians, no one has ever paid a down on their luck Quarian to star in Space Porn, there's no Quarian selfies, there's no Quarian portraits, there's no Quarian art involving the physical form. If you go to Haestrom, there's no pictures of Quarian families on work stations. Quarian women have birth giving hips and pleasing hip-to-waist ratios and no Asari is actively getting into their suits. No human either, other than maybe Shepard, even though Quarians make sense as fellow traveler with Humans, given both races were screw in varying ways by the Council, one by the Council shrugging after the Geth revolt and the other by the First Contact War.
There, I just put more thought into the Quarians than BioWare. Probably because of Casey Hudson's hard-on for his Blueberry Waifu.
?
visceral was fine for the most part, they got closed because they were located in LA which was too expensive when their games didn't sell (enough). which for the most part was EA's fault, not visceral's (see dead space 3 microtransactions, hardline's business model and release date etc.).
I built a rig with twin Titan X Pascals and water cooling to play Andromeda.I'll certainly never pre-order a Bioware game again though: I was one of the idiots that did so for Andromeda, and holy fuck did that sting.
They will have slightly better lighting and maybe condense the maps a bit to reduce travel time. That will be all.Didn't even know this was announced. I'll give it a chance (but not on release day). I'm more cautiously-optimistic for the remasters - just because they're updating ME1's side quests (hopefully this means they'll be more like 2/3's, and not the same 3 maps over and over and over and over and...). But even with the remasters - not on release day.
