It's not WWIII as much as proxy wars with Russia, starting with acting on that report of the Taliban taking bounties from the Russian government since Putin has no real interest in taking America on directly. Meanwhile, Trump has realized the next Cold War is going to be with China.

The left has already talked about putting MAGA adherents in reeducation camps and taking away their voting privileges until they can prove their worth to their new vision of a progressive utopia, along with executing the ones that are a little too uppity for their liking such as Alex Jones. As for Trump himself, the media can't live without him, so they're going to spend every second tracking him as people try to go after him like Nazi Hunters and people get brought to the Trust and Reconciliation Commission and the Trump Accountability Projects in this generation's version of the Nuremburg trials.

Reminder: Alex Jones is being sued by the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre.

Who is "the left"? I have no doubt that there are some lunatics online who have plans to put to death everyone who disagrees with them, but surely you don't actually think that this viewpoint is anywhere near mainstream. This is like SJWs referring to everyone who's even vaguely right-leaning as a Nazi.

That's pure ad hominem faggotry and people whine about people from other countries talking about their politics and it's just a slur for the pure fun of it. We're replacing an elderly faggot with a cult of personality with another elderly faggot with a cult of personality. You don't need to be American to see this.

Well, they can easily get their ideas more mainstream, especially once Trumo is out and more pet projects can be pursued. Don't forget, there are TONS of people who don't reveal their ideas online, and the left is more willing to act on their words and prove they aren't all talk. If anything, people like Pelosi aren't talking about anything regarding the situation regarding the election because they're not as impulsive as AOC and know that it's too early to talk about things like lists.

Reminder: Alex Jones is being sued by the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre.
That's still going on? I thought there was a settlement that could get through to Alex's head.

Can you imagine if he just flew Air Force One to Switzerland and disappeared from the media view completely? I can't imagine what the media would be able to fill their time up with. Puppy videos?

Except there are people willing to go hunt for him like how people went hunting for Nazi officers in South America. And in the age of social media and going viral and everyone having 15 minutes of fame, every leftist around the world will collaborate or go hunting or even pull a New Zealand in the name of bringing Trump to justice.

You mean it would be like Elvis sightings?

These things don't exist outside of your head. "Every leftist in the world" is not plotting to capture and execute Donald Trump. No one is going to put you in a concentration camp just because you, along with 74 million other Americans, supported a terrible president.

You haven't been paying attention to the fast four years, haven't you? Have you seen the likes of AOC talking about making lists once things were called for Biden?

Yes, and I believe that initiatives like the "Trump Accountability Project" are foolish. But this is far from establishing that "every leftist in the world" is going to gang up to chop Donald Trump's head off, or to put you in a concentration camp, or to legally strip you of your voting rights, just because you voted for him. I consider Donald Trump a disaster as a president and as a human being, and I don't want to take vengeance on the people who were unfortunate enough to vote for him. Hopefully you can believe that.

The issue with this unjustified belief that the other side is utterly ruthless and poised to wipe you out is that it makes it easier to justify taking harsh action against them. Scientific American has an interesting article on this psychological phenomenon: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/unraveling-the-mindset-of-victimhood/ It's obvious that this applies to SJW types who imagine that they're up against an all-pervasive movement of fascists and white supremacists, but it also applies to Trump supporters, insofar as they believe they're the subject of a conspiracy to exterminate them just because they voted for a doofus.

Everyone saying the Trump movement will die when the orange man is gone has not been paying attention for the last 4 years. It was never about Trump the man. It was who he spoke too and what he represented. He spoke to a vast swath of America neglected by the Political and Cultural elite, and they saw him as the perfect brick to throw into their ivory tower.

Getting rid of Trump will not solve the problem. I once again point to the States that sided with Texas in the lawsuit. It made the division as clear as day. The "Fly overs" are tired of being ignored by the leadership in Washington, and mocked by the cultural institutions. Their sentiments are also supported by sizable swaths of dependable "blue" States like New York, Washington and Michigan. People have said that the divide in America is Rural vs. Urban but I am now convinced this is no longer true. The "America" that lies between the Appalachians and the Sierra Nevadas is no longer the America that exists on the other side of them.

Geography is destiny. It always stood to reason the States facing the world would adopt a more global mindset then those that did not. The problem however is those States have escalated matters to dictating what basic morality is to their "inferiors". An arrogance that is not even subtle anymore.

When I said this election landed a killing blow, I meant it. The divide in America is no longer North vs. South, urban vs. Rural. It is very clearly Coastal States vs. Everyone else. Or more specifically New England, the West Coast and the Mid Atlantic vs. Everyone else.

What the fuck are you even talking about? If you're referring to what AOC said about holding Trump's enablers "accountable," she meant voting against them, not killing them. You, however, do need to be put away: into a mental hospital, to treat your paranoid schizophrenia.

No, it's still urban vs. rural. Even in the heavily conservative states in the middle of the country, urban areas are still reliably blue. And even in the heavily liberal coastal states, rural areas are still reliably red. Pay attention to the county-by-county results before saying dumb shit like this.

Was most of this thread born in 2016? You do realize that the media was doing ok before Trump and will do fine without him. They’ll find someone and something else to talk about. The media can happily exist without Trump, but I can’t say the opposite is true. Trump needs to be in the limelight.

Environmental activist Greta Thunberg is optimistic about the imminent re-entry of the U.S. into the landmark Paris Climate Agreement as world leaders mark its fifth anniversary.

A virtual gathering on Saturday will celebrate the accord whose goal is to curb greenhouse gas emissions that fuel global warming. It aims to keep the global temperature rise this century well below 2C (3.6F) above pre-industrial levels and to try to limit the temperature increase even further to 1.5C (2.6F).

President Donald Trump announced in June 2017 that the U.S. would withdraw from the agreement, but UN regulations meant that the decision only came into effect on November 4, the day after the U.S. election.

President-elect Joe Biden has said when he takes office on January 20, he would rejoin the deal as soon as possible.

On Friday, Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer tweeted: "I'm proud the Biden-Harris administration will be rejoining the agreement on Day 1. We need bold climate action now. I will be fighting side-by-side with President-elect Biden and VP-elect Harris to #ActOnClimate."

Thunberg told CNN: "I am more than happy that the U.S. will rejoin the Paris agreement, that is absolutely crucial."

When asked what young people wanted their leaders to do about the environment, Thunberg said that there needed to be a shift in perception which included "treating the climate crisis like a crisis."

"As young people, we would really appreciate it if we stopped only talking about future, distant hypothetical goals and targets," she said, adding that it was important to "start focusing on what we need to do now."

"It is right now that the carbon budget is being used up," she said, believing that the more delays to concrete action "the more weight we put on the shoulders of future generations.

"We don't want to solve these problems for you, we want you to take care of it right now because you are destroying our futures right now," she told CNN.

The U.K., the UN and France are co-hosting Saturday's summit which British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will open. China's President Xi Jinping and France's Emmanuel Macron are among world leaders taking part, agencies reported.

Trump will be among some notable absentees. Australia, Brazil and South Africa will also not attend. There will be an American presence at the event however which will include U.S. governors and business leaders, such as Apple's chief executive Tim Cook.

I know you can some someone accountable without killing them. AOC and her followers have talked about camps for Trump supporters and MAGA adherents, trials and tribunals and possibly jail for those who worked and enabled him, and execution is only reserved for those who refuse to submit or are shown to be too defiant to fit into any category, like Alex Jones or Trump himself.

Again, please check yourself into a mental hospital and get your paranoid schizophrenia treated. No one who has even the slightest bit of power has talked about "camps for Trump supporters." Right-wingers have talked about locking up/executing liberals before, but no one takes them seriously because they have no power.
