I took a look at Karen's last.fm page when someone asked me where a picture I got was sourced from, and I have absolutely no fucking clue how I relate to her due to the age gap. If that page is at all accurate, she's 24; technically still a millennial but just barely.

She is having the shakeys

At this point, I am just waiting for her to dive into Minecraft mods.
I would love a modded series. Not sure what mods exactly. I tend to prefer automation and machines, but can't really expect them to jump right into GTNH. Something with good exploration elements might be good. Some Ice and Fire stuff. I don't think it would necessarily be for everyone, but I think a good few of the holos could get a kick out of some decent mods. Pekora, Moona, Amelia, and even Ina, notably. Some others would surely jump on just to see what it is all about.

I don't particularly like Draconic Evolution myself, but seeing Elite Miko drop a lava bucket on one of the reactor stabilizers and panic while the server explodes would be some great content.

Ah, and Ame in particular might like Factorio, given her love for rails and minecarts.

I've been an active Modded Minecraft player for years, so much so that I basically stopped playing Vanilla at 1.12.

Watching Holo girls play vanilla was what actually got me to play it as well, and man, the updates made to Minecraft since 1.12 are crazy. It feels more complete and is actually a cohesive experience instead of the core building and mining mechanic, and then a whole bunch of disparate systems that are only barely worth interacting with (villagers, enchanting).

I doubt Modded will ever be approved, since getting permission to not get DMCA claimed is such a big issue for Hololive and Holostars, with modded do you need to obtain the permission for every single mod used? Maybe the permission from the mod pack author? Forge/Curse?

The important thing for me is that the Hololive girls will never get political. Cover knows that it's bad for business, so unless they go full retard, there's no way they'll allow whatever political beliefs their talent might hold to leak into the characters.
Is there a way to pin this so every other tourist that feels the need to restart the "HoW wIlL cOvEr SuRviVe Da BuBbLe GuIsE?!?" circlejerk can just... i dunno, do it elsewhere? There's that very nice place called /jp/ where they will treat you nice and give you cookies and headpats.

Also, to dash everyone's hopes that Cover might fade away and classify itself as obsolete, keep in mind that their big year end concert has freakin' Bushiroad as a collaborator. If this is as big a hit as it can be, they can end up buying Hololive/Cover and set them up for life.

ETA: While creeping on a certain instagram, I just heard Kiara call herself a hikkikomori on stream. LMFAO :story:

And instagram, pls I beg you, try being more subtle...

man, I had never seen anything about this Domo guy outside of a few complaints here, so I went to see his Twitch page to see if I wanted to watch Pika’s interview with him, and... this fucker absolutely disgusts me. Just seeing this immediately made me furious. (Oh, the very top got cut off because of the twitch app layout, but it says “The One True Simp King”)

I was going to suffer through the interview anyway, but after seeing a few of the thumbnail clips he put up, I’s legit feel slimy watching it.

So anyone else who didn’t know about him, now you know. Fuck that guy. If someone is working on a thread about him and needs some help writing or editing, let me know.

I'm in a similar boat modded wise. I'm pretty sure most mods have very simple 'Don't copy completely, request permission to fork, credit and/or ask to put in a pack'.
Some of them are a lot more autistic than that, but there's a modded minecraft server that's literally made up of streamers and mod authors that seems to function mostly without issues.

Oh and I'd never put Ice and Fire in a pack with players new to modded. Those dragons can make life hell if you don't know what you're doing.

I stopped playing during the alpha, a little after the nether and immediately after Endermen got added, and I'm jealous that these girls have inventories.

Anyway, I watched along with Calli's Fight Club Watch-a-Long and her admiration for Tyler Durden just confirms 100% beyond a doubt that she was an edgy teen mall goth and the spirit definitely still resides deep inside.

I’ve really enjoyed the picks for Watch Alongs they end up going with.

Honestly, with modded Minecraft they're probably best off playing a Skyblock modpack. They usually have questbooks that give you a quick introduction to the main mods included, and they're also not the same endless commitment as a full Minecraft world, as you can consider yourself having "beat the game" once you complete the quest book, which usually entails reaching the endgame of all the major content mods.

Really, the main thing is that running two full Minecraft lets play's simultaneously is fucking hard, even for dedicated Minecraft content creators. Skyblock/questing packs are great for a lower-investment* side series where there's no expectation that they're going to be playing on that map indefinitely.
*in the sense of emotional investment in the world, you're sure as hell going to be investing a LOT of time and autism into a modded Minecraft playthrough skyblock or not

Seeing Kiara struggle with some English words is cute. I should be used to German speakers struggling with the 'th' dental fricative, but for some reason I forget that she's an ESL when I hear her speak most of the time.

In my opinion, we still don't have any "smoking gun" that defines him as a lolcow or attract discussion. However, at the same time, creating a thread could also attract people who knew some secrets a place to dump the info

However, at the same time, looking at the predicted trajectory of his reach and influence, I think it's a safe bet for someone to create a thread, at least for future-proofing
