It really depends on how much the Senate guts the bill before they allow it to move up.
Last I check Senate Leader whuts his face wanted to strike out a pretty big chunk of it before allowing it to pass.
But American politics are pretty whacky lately so who knows whose in whose pocket, a lot of heavy hitters want this bill to pass fast for some reason.

Because a lot of the reason SOPA and PIPA failed is because there was enough time to rally the people to voice their discontent. We can bitch all we want if it's already passed and it won't change a thing.

It really would be a good way to generate money as long as whoever does it knows to be careful, not get greedy, and doesn't go putting hits on people like the Dread Pirate Roberts.
Whoever does it likely will get caught anyway, but at least they'll only serve a long snit in the joint rather than leave feet first. At the very least, their morality'll be tarnished to a significantly lower degree than the DPR.

No way to do that. They could pass a law to that effect, but since they're the ones who pass laws, they could also pass a law authorizing them again.

Agreed, and drop the secrecy. Why did the MPAA and similar industry bodies and corporations with vast vested interests in this treaty get access to it while people and their elected representatives did not? This treaty is far too broad in scope to be decided behind closed doors with the aid of the MPAA and their lobbyists. As well as driving the treaty to strongly favour industry over individual rights, it gives corporations a head-start in their lobbying of senators to support the treaty. Sure the industry participants are sworn to secrecy on the contents, but they can head to the ATM and begin stockpiling cash and brown paper bags in preparation for meeting with senators who they wish to influence. It's a massive corporate power grab that should not be secret or decided by industry groups.

That is the pattern. Obama and Co. can't possibly argue that they're doing this in the interests of the American public, as SOPA, PIPA, and ACTA attracted so much opposition. The TPP is much the same, and the reason to keep is secret is because they don't want it to blow-up like those other attempts have done. i.e. they know that these measures benefit corporate interests over people, and they are also aware that people don't want such blatant corporate welfare.

Exactly, like was said above, if we don't know about it, we can't possible protest it. They know this, so from my understanding this kind of stuff is usually added as addendum to unrelated legislature.

They don't have to do that, though. The future agreements are going to go on behind closed doors and be delivered to the Senate as a fait accompli, already done. No need for any legislative process there. Just dump it on the Senate for an up and down vote.
On the good side, treaties in the United States are not self-executing. A treaty may establish legal obligations on the part of the member nations and in international law, but it does nothing to compel the Congress to pass further legislation, and you can't be directly prosecuted under a treaty, at least in the U.S. It also doesn't trump the Constitution. I could put a bunch of legal citations here, but it isn't the time or place and I'd also have to include a lot of "but see this too" and "except when it does."
It's still scummy and underhanded and this is yet another case of the government, in this case Obama, pushing through a completely shitty deal that fucks the American public, on behalf of corporations.

Question time: If the government passed this law, wouldn't it backfire in their face big time? Like say, someone from senate did something stupid and he got jailed?

Implying rich people are subject to the law.I'm not exactly worried that UN stormtroopers are going to drag me off in the middle of the night now, but I do worry about this being used to silence dissent both in the US and the third world.
Edit: Just read more. Not as terrible as I thought, but lets hope it can be made a little less terrible still in the next round of court cases and treaties.
