General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I agree, but bigger subs also *in general* mean a bigger live audience. I think the general rule of thumb for vtuber is like 0.01% of the subs is live viewer? So it still meant a difference between having 200k subs and a million.

Though it also worth noting that JP, and to a lesser extent ID, suffer from overseas subscribers that simply couldnt watch the live stream because they cant understand what the girl is talking about, which again only highlight the importance of speaking english to tap the market regardless of branch.
The clippers exist to help that and now there's Kiara whose collabs tend to be just that anyway. Granted, plenty of the girls are learning now to speak English of their own volition (I doubt there's a company push to do so, they genuinely just want to have fun with everyone) so while they might not reach true bilingual fluency, they'll get close enough and do enough English practice to gain more overseas support. I think Haachama's English only streams helped her channel a lot in those regards.

You act as if I really give a shit about what Domo and his dumbfuck harem actually thinks of me. I'd be fine with them hating me, I'd still be doing my own thing. That and I am a "literally who" in their eyes.
I know you don't. You've made it embarrassingly clear how much you don't care every single time I've brought up how outing yourself as being a part of the Farms is almost suicidal to one's reputation. But, by that same token, you've also mentioned an interest in infiltrating the ratking and acting as an informant, and considering how there might very well be a thread dedicated to Domo in the near future, if you do manage to earn a place in the ratking and you go sharing whatever goes on in his incestuous little inner circle, you're probably going to get found out quickly enough and excommunicated. It's like the equivalent of building a reputation and greasing some wheels just to tear the whole thing down for yourself. It's a really fucking stupid course of action to take.

But, at the end of the day, you do you.

EDIT: Caught this response just now.
I didn't attempt anything. I entertained the idea but realized that association with the ratking is not worth the information I'd get from it, but more power to them if they think I am already there on a sock account.
Then it was pretty much an ultimately useless gesture to openly talk like it was something you might do in the first place. When it comes to shady faggotry like that, you never openly state intent before acting on it, because, really, what does that do for yourself but leave more of a trail?

Korean fans might prove exceptional in their own unique way but, hey, at least they hate the bugmen too.
Korea was the logical step, enough to tap into a considerable market without the hassle of bugmens, im halfway expecting Hololive russia some day considering how the cheeky breekies love botan

Edit: Calli has been retweeting Artemis, xir is a ticking bomb Calli better to get away from them

Since we have a lot of people from outside the farms ending up in this thread and not really understanding how things work here, I think it's important to remind the thread of a few vital points of KF culture and social mores:

1) No gay ops. No organizing gay ops. Do not touch poop and definitely do not attempt to organize some kind of grand poop touching expedition. If you're infiltrating some group, don't talk about it. Dump whatever you have and say little. Only elaborate if people ask questions about provenance.

2) Do not powerlevel. Your real identity is mostly irrelevant. The point of this site is to laugh at people oversharing on the web and oversharing is the easiest way to get yourself laughed at in a thread.

3) We are not a secret club. The farms is a pretty massive website and persons of interest lurk here too. This is not /i/ or an unLISTed mid-2000s IRC channel. You'll get found out if you try to violate point 1.

4) Contain your autism. Most everyone here is socially maladjusted to some degree, but try to remain self-aware about it.

5) Archive everything you can and learn how to embed images and links properly.

6) Seriously, no fucking gay ops.

Thank you for choosing Kiwi Farms. Please leave your 'autistic' ratings at the bottom of this post.

Nothing beat the smell of autism in the morning,
Highlight for those who find hero hei too boring to sit through 5 minutes of his rambling.

Another one of those jumping on the bandwagon and "paying with exposure". Nothing news worthy, but "i'm a vtuber and you'll regret this" just hit the spot.

I'd like to add on to this little tidbit.

The point of the farms is that, but we are in the off-topic section. The off-topic session doesn't necessarily need to include cow content.

I left the farms after a big server migration where I lost the password to my old account and couldn't log in, I stayed away because I realized I was getting MATI at some of the cows to unhealthy degrees, and I was no longer enjoying my anger.

Seeing this thread be like a bastion and an actual nice place to be and discuss without needing to walk on eggshells around kayfabe is what made me get a new account.

I do hope eventually we can find enough info on Domo to warrant a cow thread if only so we can quarantine it there and so this thread stays pleasant and comfy.

Everything else, fully agree.

I enjoyed watching it but I do feel like having one person escort you through the entirety of Journey, while sweet and leading to some great moments, is so different from the normal experience that it geniunely makes me wonder whether I’d have wanted that when I first played it.

I can‘t say it’s good or bad, per se, but it definitely made me really think about that game again. Perhaps I’ll explore my thoughts more on my blog or something though. Not really wanting to autist the whole thread up. (More)

Also, hearing Ina refer to this game as being from “way back in 2012“ really stings. I was like “I moved into this apartment in 2012, it’s not that long ago!” Damn I’m getting old.

Im not sure if im late as hell on this or not, but apparantly, a Hololive Korea account exists. At first i thought it was some fan account, but the real Hololivers follow it. There's only one post made all the way back in January (so, before even Hololive ID's 1st gen debuted) and it's the open recruitment post for overseas staff

i actually more surprise that Hololive having ID Branch first than KR, and even until now they still havent touch KR market yet. is it cause the not seems profitable ?

On the Cover cut: Coco discussed it. 30% goes to Youtube, Cover then gets half of what's left (35% overall) and then the remaining 35% goes to the talent in addition to their normal salary. They do this to at least preserve some sense of fairness so that people who lag behind in donations (like the holostars) aren't left completely bereft of funds. They also have to pay the BTS staff too, so I actually think their payment structure is pretty fair.
how many the game company get after getting the right for stream tho. since they granted a permission to stream im sure they want the cut as well right? and idk how Youtube work, and is view count still earning money even after streaming? or donation the only way?

I haven't noticed her directly RETWEET anything from Artemis, but she has been liking its posts, so, either way.

Speaking of which...

Found under Calli's likes. This sounds like cancer.

Chat getting all emotional for Number 2, a guy that played all Journey with Ina and was with her until the end of the game
My faggot ass may have gotten a little misty-eyed near the end of that stream. And I've played and completed Journey myself as well, so it's not like I didn't know what was coming.

Did anyone buy tickets for Beyond the Stage?

The fact that the thought of spending 60 dollars to see 3D anime girls singing even passed through my head a bit shows me how deep I've fallen
I was gonna ask this as well. I don't have money either, so I'm thinking of looking for pirate stream or archive
One thing about things like this is that there lots of people out there that screen share concert such as this, however, most of them are inside a circle or a server or something, so an outsider would be hard pressed to find one
There is a chance of a pirate archive. However, since Cover and Hololive has basically became a pariah in mainland, the chance of that happened decreased significantly, since the mainland chinks are one of the top player for things like this
Speaking of which...
Being on the West coast their concert hits at about 9pm for me, and considering corona fucked me out of my vacation this year I bought the 2 day ticket.
I'll let you all know if anything hilarious happens regarding Luna/Marine's 0 stamina.
Is there any chance you can screen share that to us, or at the very least, made a live report with screenshot?

I trust that the Korean dudes aren't as bad as the bugmen at least

I suspect this had something to do with Nijisanji having a Korean branch. But seeing they're not exactly successful, I can see why Cover abandoned the idea

One thing about Korean internet is, they're like a minefied, even compared to jp and mainland. I have mentioned that Korean internet is like a monster of their own class regarding digital and internet content, but at the same time, they are also a monster regarding what you can and can't do. Korea is a society deeply rooted in confucianism, and they have a hateboner to those that break the social contract, even sometimes moreso than the japanese. That's why you often see cases of extreme bullying on celebs there, not to mention a very high tendency of misogyny that I'm pretty sure western internet would be shocked with

Oh, I know about the pic begging for a free art. So it was a Vtuber? Anyone knew who is it? I want to put one more name to list of Indies to avoid

Well if it means we don't have to deal with Kpop fans-tier of shitstorms, then by all means for Cover i guess. Now that you've mentioned the confucianism, and the fact that there has been no activity since January, it might be more likely that the idea was scrapped as you said. Plus, Korean-Japan hateboners might make everything harder even despite the modern pop cultural exchanges

Game companies don't get shit for the girls doing this. They grant permissions and in exchange they can't sue, simple as that. Only Japanese companies behave like this which is why many don't allow streaming at all. Most western and Indie developers just say "yeah it's fine to stream our game. Go ahead."

In the case of something like Rockstar, you're allowed to stream it, you just can't monetize the stream. I have no idea why they have this policy, but they do. It's kind of ridiculous. Part of it is probably because Rockstar retains the rights to the music in the game but the streamer does not, so you can't run ads on the stuff due to the music issues. None of Miko's GTA streams or Ame's LA Noire streams are monetized, for example.

You lucky fucking bastard
Well it was mostly finding a good stream, mind you this was before twitch and even Discord, trying to find a private restreamer was a pain in the ass but i saw almost all of them including the first test that was in japan where miku was just in a screen, the system was not perfected until the los angeles concert

So is Inas journey stream worth a watch?
Yeah, mostly for her interactions with Number 2, another random player that got paired with her, the guy was not a troll or a stream sniper but actually helped her solve puzzles and made her lead the way, he even tried to protect her from the snow in the mountain and helped her in the tunnel part where she had to hide, the bonus of all of this is that the guy did not even had a way to know is Ina, its only mentioned after you finish the game and she covered it with a Takodachi
