Florian Syndrome isn't real.

What OP is referring to is called 'Bawbag Disease' and was discovered by Dr R C Nesbitt of Glasgow University while observing a student of his consuming Irn Bru.

He theorised it was a symptom of being an idjit, especially if you also see the Heebie-Jeebie!

I'll have you know Florian syndrome (a totally real disorder) has been described as "a schizophrenia without psychosis" by a man who is definitely smarter than you (140 IQ per WAIS-IV).
ah yes, Florian syn. of course, thanks for the reminder, it's the one they get when they don't want to take olanzapine :-)

But what about his video with the soda and everything?

Any carbonated drink will cause the carbonation grimace that indicates glutamate hypofunction. Carbonation grimace either OCCURS or DOES NOT OCCUR, but there are nuances to how it occurs in different personality types. When Florian syndrome patients are discovered, I hope to cautiously provide further evaluations based on these nuances.

But I'm not comfortable making predictions yet. I do hate to write "woo"ish text.
Oh you are still there? what are you taking? haloperidol? olanzapine? why don't you try taking them, you will feel better, the voices and the hallucinations will start to go away.

Hey @henstepl, I'm a security guard for a local supermarket and we've seen customers come in and out with cans of soda. I thought they looked normal but now that you mentioned it, I realized they might have carbonation grimace. I told my manager about this and he said he's going to ban soda from the premises. Thank you for bringing this into attention.

What about this?
Why didn't he grimaced?

Again, Terry Davis had lowerfaced affect. That's dopamine, and it has no problem drinking soda. In question is whether Terry would have been able to "invoke" the carbonation grimace through a facial exercise before drinking soda. I believe he would.

Of course, if Terry had carbonation grimace at a rest, such as I sometimes experience, that would have been informative too.

Something to note about Type A (lowerfaced affect) is that it cannot care about anything that isn't self-centered, or that it hasn't created. I wrote that it breaks my heart I can't watch The Office, because that's what people do when they're pathetic and depressed. My Type A finds anything anyone else created to be an unfeasible chore.

Didn't Terry become obsessed with an OS he created? Was he able to do anything else?
