it would only be latin@s in written form but in speech you would still say "latino"

I've never seen her interact with Latinos, but she had some friends in Philly that were part of the communist / anarchist community. She acted pretty normal with them. I wish I could remember the names but they had a pretty normal friendship relationship. I kind of wonder why they no longer speak. Cuz I know they're not on her friends list anymore.

When I was with her in Philly they were still friends, in fact we tried to find her and meet up with her once but because neither of us had phones and she wasn't home at the time that didn't happen.

This is my first time chiming in on a thread, so, hi there. Have to say that reading a discussion where everyone is referring to the same individual as either he, she, or they is kinda nausiating.

Question for Michael: What does Harel do all day? Whereas a normal person might wake/eat breakfast/go to work/watch TV/go to sleep, what is Harel's daily routine, or lacking that, daily life in general besides going to get tattoos?

It's not gender-neutral, it's a noun declension that doesn't show the noun genders. Like in Italian, there are the words that end in -o/-a where you can tell which gender they are, or the nouns ending in -e that you just have to memorize (la volpe, il cane). Spanish has these too (la carne, el hombre), but most of them have lost the -e in the singular (luz->luces). If people are looking for a set of Spanish endings that doesn't reveal the gender, the one that's already in use has to be better than this "inx" business.

a little OT, but Latin is not that friendly in endings. -ae and -am can be feminine, neuter or masculine. same with - um, - uum, - o or - e. it all depends on the verb tense (and the nature of the verb, whether it's a participle etc) whether the noun is the subject, object, indirect object... and the inclusion or exclusion of the ablative case can further fuck up the 'what gender is this?' game.

i don't know why it's so important to find gender neutral options for gendered nouns. it looks equal parts sloppy and anglacized. if you're a tranny, just use fucking 'latina' and be done with it.

Huh. I would imagine that someone who supposedly lived homelessly with this dude would be able to provide a somewhat more illuminating account of what kind of activities he engages in beyond going to the library and whatever wicked grounds is.

The mods have apparently done some work on verifying your ID, but I can't help but be a little underwhelmed by your responses to certain questions. If someone asked me about the habits of a person I was previously a close friend of (not to mention a significant other), I can't imagine my response would be prefaced with verbage like "I know she X". That's how one would refer to a mere acquaintance, don't you think?

I agree, I honestly think Michael might be a lolcow in his own right, sure he's been polite, but he definitely hasn't provided us with new information or even answered any of the hard questions.
