The vacillation between Sleepy Joe and Manchurian Candidate Joe is hilarious, much like China being able to wipe us out at any moment versus them about to collapse at any moment. I guess it's just whatever tickles your brain.
A classic ploy of political radicals is to attempt to infuse two contradictory ideas in the heads of their followers:
-The opposition is weak, craven, slothful, perverse, and dim-witted, and so is anyone who associates with them, while
we are strong, noble, brilliant, virtuous, and imminently triumphant.
-The opposition controls every politician (who is not one of us) and office, the courts bow to them, the media bows to them, and the very spin of the atom and wend of fate is theirs to control, while we are beaten down, outnumbered, surrounded on all sides by foes and traitors, and can only depend on each other (read: the thought leaders and commanders of the movement), and can only claim victory by devoting ourselves completely and immediately, for even the slightest delay will seal the opposition's eternal victory and destroy all that is good in the world.
Once these two ideas exist side-by-side in someone's mind without acknowledgement of the contradiction, you have their soul in your hands and the only thing preventing them from killing or dying at your command is a question of their animal nerve.
