haha, that's the exact same epilator I gave such good reviews on in the beauty parlor that a bunch of kiwis bought it.

I have no idea why they'd want to use charcoal pencils over china markers if they're going to be doing any outdoor work/marking. Charcoal pencils will smudge like all hell and fuck off at the slightest hint of rain unless you get something to set it with which would just end up costing you more money than just buying some grease pencils from the local hardware store. If you have to use regular pencils get something with a harder lead in it that's more smudge-resistant and less liable to get washed away.Would love the perspective of some Kiwis who know what they're talking about. Are they asking for good stuff?
i Doubt they’re for farming. They most likely want them for a sketch book and there’s way better charcoal than that. Not that I’d expect the sketchbook to get used Anymore than kevs tablet. also that garmin is just to make them feel cool because I could understand if they wanted one with satellite phone calls, but since they didn’t ask for that I’m really assuming it’s for style points. theres equally good terrain mapping software for your phones that would accomplish the same thing. The biggest bonus is probably looking official and not having to charge it as often.I have no idea why they'd want to use charcoal pencils over china markers if they're going to be doing any outdoor work/marking. So a few days ago Josie Stanley (garden grifter for the ranch) made an amazon wish list for the ranch.

Oh and nestled among all the useful farming stuff is... a $100 epilator lol. Gotta remove that hair to get any work done I guess. #justtranchthings

Buying art supplies from Amazon is honestly my last resort, Blick has much better supplies without requiring you to sell half of your organs for a tin of shitty pencils like Amazon tends to. I don't know much about satellite phones but I'm like 99% sure you could find a much less expensive model with all the basic shit you'd need it to do, but then it wouldn't look quite as official as having a Garmin model strapped to them I suppose.i Doubt they’re for farming. I doubt they have them yet, I just assumed it was a future plan, ie once they get the gear they will do it. I'd support that, boosting the local bee population might be the one good thing they do.Since when does the tranch have bees?

They've mentioned wanting to expand to include bees before, which is actually a pretty good idea but knowing these guys they'll fuck it up somehow.Since when does the tranch have bees?

They can barely maintain their own health, how the hell would they be able to keep up with potentially dozens of hives (unless bees are pretty low maintenance, which I assume they aren't) which then brings up the question of just what their grand plan is with any of this ranch really? I may have missed it but what exactly is the end goal here? An agricultural center to make money, some sort of weird organic kale factory for people with down's syndrome, weird neverland-ranch-style animal sex house? They've mentioned wanting to expand to include bees before, which is actually a pretty good idea but knowing these guys they'll fuck it up somehow.
They finally realized that alpacas are not profitable animals, so are trying to break into more lucrative animals, but they wasted all of their money on alpacas, so they're relying on others to provide the necessary equipment for their new endeavors.Since when does the tranch have bees?

A coat of arms, huh? How positively Eurocentric. Colonizers go home!
They won't. Honey pays well, but it's a bitch since bees are quite vulnerable to a variety of bacteria, parasites, and viruses. The most severe threat right now is the mysterious colony collapse disorder that's been wiping out whole colonies in Europe and the USA. There's also colony theft. which is fairly prevalent here in Europe. It's a lot of work, and feeding them is a lot more complicated than "toss a bale of hay in front of them IDK".They can barely maintain their own health, how the hell would they be able to keep up with potentially dozens of hives (unless bees are pretty low maintenance, which I assume they aren't)
I sometimes save Kiwi comments that make me laugh, and I've never had such a literal use for something that was definitely intended as a metaphor. They've mentioned wanting to expand to include bees before, which is actually a pretty good idea but knowing these guys they'll fuck it up somehow.
That sounds like a lot of work for the one or two people on the tranch who actually work.Keeping bees in a cold-weather desert climate is tricky. They can't even provide their alpaca decent shelter, how are they going to winter hives properly?
There's probably plenty of creosote bush and rabbitbrush, which bees can make honey from, but it won't make very tasty honey if that's their prime source of nectar. And if the honey doesn't taste good then you can't sell it.
If they were smart (HAHAHA) they'd be planting alfalfa and clover to improve their soil, provide forage for the alpaca, and better flowers for the bees. But they're not smart.
Please no Wicker Man references.Since when does the tranch have bees?
