I'd give almost anything to sit in on the conversation where he has to call his payee and explain he needs $150 for a flight back to Spokane because he got catfished all the way to Los Angeles.

and he'll get told to pound sand until his next payment, assuming he can even collect it there, seeing as the way things are set up for him right now requires his payee to give him a weekly check in person. I doubt he will get anything at all from the payee given those circumstances. Especially if he is stupid enough to claim he went to california to get an out of state job without informing anyone. Thats a red flag for an attempt for trying to work illegally under the table
