essentially the problem, and the false advertising on the state of the last gen systems is definitely something they should get dragged for.


it downscales ok for older hardware but we're still talking 30-50 FPS, the optimization is pretty shit. my 1080 is struggling but that's in part due to the fact i play at 1440. like, again, the game absolutely needed more time, but what is there is pretty damn good. it's not like fallout 76 where it was near unplayable and had next to nothing in it at launch.

still wouldn't necessarily recommend people buying it just yet unless they're pretty strong fans of cyberpunk or have a solid pc, but.

Honestly, performance issues aside I will agree the game is decent. However, I will add that the game def doesn't feel like an RPG if say compared to Human Revolution/Mankind Divided, like I dunno but in those games, you put points in specific skills/cyber upgrades had a better feel than it does in CP77.

I think PC in general got away fine. My processor and GPU don't meet CDPR published minimum requirements but the game runs great.

The fact that he is taking pills is hilarious to me. I question if he is even seeing a doctor for his troonout. Hormones have various formulations, but the most common methods are pills or patches. The pills are cheaper so they are more commonly used, especially by people trooning out with mail order stuff from Mexico, but they are also more dangerous and have a higher complication risk. Considering sterling's extensive comorbidities no doctor would ever prescribe pills. He would get a patch prescription if they were to sign off on a transition at all.

Yup, I'm on a GTX770 and same experience. I was half wondering if I needed to finally upgrade but decided to wait and see.

The hate for Cyberpunk seems really overdone, I’ve been playing it on my PS4 pro and while it does crash every few hours and there’s a couple of minor bugs it’s a really fun game with both combat or stealth and the story and characters are also great.

I like that the game gives you different options which have different outcomes, either obvious ones (Pacifist vs kill everyone in the building) or occasionally sort of like Deus Ex where the game/a character tells you to do something but there’s another option.

It's the first time contards ever had to deal with a shitty port, so they're chimping out. Plus most game journalists had preexisting axe to grind about the game, so they're more than happy there's an actual issue with the game that someone cares about that they can blow out of proportion.

He claims his review popularised Deadly Premonition. I doubt that, but it could be true. GiantBomb popularised Persona 4 in the west, but I don't remember anyone mentioning Jim when it comes to Deadly Premonition.

Iirc his suggestion was to link to his videos on store pages and treat his opinions as box quotes.

As for Greenlight. He was all for it when Steam was heavily curated, and getting on Steam meant the difference between being an indie hit, or languishing in obscurity. Once greenlight was in place, he liked it until asset flips and vote manipulation were a problem; But I think the reason opinion shifted against Greenlight was that "problematic" games like Hatred were getting through.

I used to Play Deadly Premonition, Silent Hill and Michigan report from hell etc yadda yadda (not including the old school rpgs I played). If I played them today they might be hot garbage but I enjoyed it as a kid. Reset era is the special Ed’s class of all forums, anyone actively taking Dev advice from them brands the game as a woke shitshow. I hope any advice he took from them is ultimately reversed to the extreme as a fuck you.

What I don’t understand is, why put these self described “non binaries” on hormones anyway? Only people I can really see benefitting from this are the corporations that make the horse piss pills and are raking in the cash. The reason Jim gets so much flack for his steam sperging was his continued insistence that the store pages was clogged with garbage when it was demonstrably NOT. Jim was brought in for suggestions for Greenlight moderation, not the algorithm.
