Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

You should sue Ethan and Cecil and the rest for painting you as a white nationalist or whatever for two years while you're at it.

That victim card isn't going to play itself JDA.
Honestly nasser could've sued a year ago if he wasn't a cuck. But jda probably can't due to statue of limitations if he tried suing Ethan/Cecil, if they continue calling him a white nationalist today then maybe he could sue.

I never said anything about their movie division. I was talking strictly about their comics. The people that got fired from DC were from the comics side. The movies will stay alive because there are plenty of good stories from the past to choose from that will make good blockbuster hits. I can’t really think of any present day storylines in the comics that would make a good movie for DC.

Are you sure that I’m the one coping? Because shit like this won’t sell comics for DC And that’s why the culture war has everything to do with why they are failing.

Two whole pages of someone talking. Seriously, how does this even get past the brainstorming phase?

Yes you're coping because you think your retarded culture war and gay internet slapfight has had any effect on the mainstream comics industry and that Time Warner and Marvel will be abandoning superheroes for anime despite all evidence to the contrary. It reminds me of the massive copium from you guys that happened when Brie Larson made a billion dollars and didn't kill the MCU or how Kathleen Kennedy still has her job and seems to be righting the Star Wars ship on Disney Plus.

Comics are failing because they are part of a declining/dying medium* the magazine * and have done next to nothing to address these issues for decades only surviving by leeching on to more profitable endeavors.

DC itself has had 3 reboots over the course of ten years does that sound like they weren't having problems to you?

Even back in the 70s Jeanette Kahn was only able to save DC's publishing division by convincing the suits at Warner they could be used for IP farming and even then in 1984 Warner tried to sell DC to Marvel.

For the past 50 years comics have not been Warner or DC's priorities they just coasted on due to being cheap enough to make and such a small part of the operation that they were basically a corporate write off. And the only adaptions that pull from the comics nowadays are the animated ones, the live action ones at best just keep the base concepts like Wonder Woman being an amazon or Batman's parents dying in an alley.

The only reason DC Comics are in trouble is due to a corporate merger and their new owners being a retarded phone company that paid 50 billion dollars for a declining cable service in an era where streaming is killing traditional tv and in a big brain move that mere mortals are not meant to understand tried to sell their profitable Warner video game division to offset debt otherwise they'd probably have been left alone due to being low hanging fruit on the corporate ladder like Marvel Comics is.

Okay, you fucking faggot. Shut the hell up.

Sigh. So Ethan, Mike Miller, Kenneth Roccafort, Shane Davis, Art Thibert. What do all these names have in common?

Go back a decade and they are drawing Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern for DC comics. Now they aren't. There. A fucking example. Now fuck off.
that Time Warner and Marvel will be abandoning superheroes for anime despite all evidence to the contrary.
You don't cite it so all that evidence huh?

That's not what's happened at all at Lucasfilm. So you literally are the dumbest fuck to ever live I guess.

Huh? So that's it? Nothing else. Nope. Comic management today is the same as thirty years ago...

No. It's not. Sales went from manageable decline into free fall. You dumb fuck.
DC itself has had 3 reboots over the course of ten years does that sound like they weren't having problems to you?
No, I wonder what was behind those changes?
blahblahblah talking a bunch of shit
Okay. You keep bumbling around on here like this.

Really? A couple of guys leaving and being replaced without fanfare like has happened forever in comics is proof of Comicsgate affecting the industry?

The evidence you are evidently too lazy to do a simple Google search for

So Kennedy still isn't in charge of Lucasfilm and an executive producer on shit like the Mandolorian and it's upcoming spin offs? We must live in separate realities.

Nearly all the people AT&T cut worked at DC for decades and Jim Lee is still there. And Joe Quesada has been in charge of Marvel since 2000 back when sexy and edgy was still in vogue. There was no marxist SJW takeover, a company just banked on a cultural trend to undo a sales decline just like in the 90s.

And according to most metrics sales of Comics have actually increased but they are coming from graphic novels and bookstores not floppies and the local comic shop.

Are you seriously going to argue that New 52 and Rebirth were woke? :story:

Keep coping retard. I'll enjoy reading how Captain Marvel 2 making 2 billion dollars is totally a sign of the MCU's impending collapse or how Star Wars toys not selling in Walmart means KKKennedy is totally on the outs at Disney in two years.

this is coming from the same moron that said Wonder Woman 84 was a hit when it was panned by both sides of the political spectrum.

The Mandolorian is John Favre’s baby not Kathleen Kennedy’s And it is set to replace the Disney trilogy as canon. Even Mark Hamil has turned on her because he sees which way the tide is turning.

As for DC Rebirth... how woke do you want it?

The views. People watching videos there aren't watching videos on your main channel. Then there's the monetization process. Ethan needs that dollar. It's work and he probably sees it as risky. Right now, CAP is the cornerstone of his livelihood, so he's risk averse where it's involved.

Something's wrong with this page...it isn't loading completely for me.

Uh yeah, though. All of this stuff jspit is saying. Sure.
just goes to show how fast fortunes can change with the right set of circumstances.

Trump's down, but TenNapel's up! Fortunes change.
The reason DC has been on a firing spree is sorely because of AT&T being burdened with 163 billion dollars of debt * by comparison Marvel's owner Disney's debt is at $64.42 billion * and looking to cut costs and if DC closes it's publishing division it'll be because Jim Lee failed to pull a Jeanette Kahn and convince the higher ups of the comics' viability as an ip farm for the shit that does make money.

As explained to you before DC as a brand is profitable and has just recently massively increased it's film and tv slate. It's just the floppies that are in trouble.

If it's sorely due to "Get Woke Go Broke" explain why Marvel's not in the same trouble when their books are even more "woke" than DC's.

Jim Lee can't do what Jeanette Kahn did, though he and Didio did try with the 5G initiative. That was DC trying to show AT&T that they're an idea farm, but the fact is, readership is down in their comics, while the films and TV are up. There is NO NEED for the comics to exist, when they aren't relevant to the brand any longer. The media stuff is working better, and isn't at all reliant on the comics.

Jim Lee is finishing the DC Comics Bible for AT&T, and he's out.

As people who are concerned about the health and continued prosperity of the comic book biz, who gives a shit if Batman toys and cartoons are selling well? DC Comics is a collapsing tentpole.

Why isn't Marvel suffering the same fate?

1. They've been hiding their poor sales by increasing output and maintaining their numbers, while keeping their heads down
2. They don't have Elliot Management barking at Disney about them.
3. Because the Direct Market hasn't collapsed yet. When it does, and it will, Disney will need to re-evaluate distributing those pamphlets in a world without their strongest competitor.

Woke is the cause of the declining sales, in my opinion. It's not the cause of the collapse of DC Comics, but it's a reason why the evaluation of the company was an embarrassment.

At the same time, Woke will be a big reason AT&T continues to publish some superhero comics.

NOT DAREDEVIL VS THE KKK IS THE HIGHEST GROSSING COMICSGATE BOOK OF 2021

EqnIfTZXAAAz465.jpeg

I realise posts like this, talking about yourself, are frowned upon and considered gay or whatever. I always wince when I see people do shit like this but I figured you guys might actually get a kick out of last nights shenanigans.

First, my ComicsGate 2020 review quiz thing with Malin and Literature devil…

Flying incredibly close to creating drama revisiting some highlights of the year including and referencing the Dynamite debacle, slagging off the comic industrial complex, the fall of War Campaign and much more.

The whole thing was a ruse to gather as big a crowd as possible for my surprise book launch (as well as reminding people of some of the punchlines for jokes on my campaign)

Taking advantage of the time difference between the UK and US I had a five hour head start on the East Coast to claim the title of highest grossing book of 2021.

Heres a couple of screen shots for people who cba to click the link…

It's doing great. Past SLAPP is a big win on our front which of course you're downplaying. There is cause for defamation, the judge ruled, which is very important.

News just in getting past SLAPP is a big win... I'll wait for the judgement to declare a big win. I'm down playing it cause the juicy stuff like discrimination, civil rights and threats of violence are gone, currently this does nothing against blacklisting.

But congrats on getting a better lawyer than Ty.

We're going to go to appeals on the UnRuh act because this is clearly in violation according to case precedent t and that's really is important for the overall cause: it being safe for conservatives to be who they are in the public square without getting harassed/threatened/expelled. We believe the judge didn't even look at the evidence on this. This has to be done after the case is over though so it's just a long, arduous process.

I would have thought it would be better/right to appeal that first so you don't have to have effectively 2 lawsuits pushing up the bills. However IANAL.

They wouldn't even fund my comic, you think they'd fund a lawsuit?

Asyl made more money and got more backers in way less time.

Yes, the idea being to own the Frogman. Then again, I question whether they'd waste money on a lolsuit.

A thousand fangirls cried out and were suddenly silenced. Vicious, but hilarious.

For New Year’s Day, Zack just announced a bunch of new comics.

-TMNT but instead of turtles it’s adult Vietnam veterans
-Comedy about Bin Laden escaping into Las Vegas
-Street Fighter expies in a Predator-esque story against Mortal Kombat expies
-499 Book 2, apparently doubling down on Narwhal
-Tripling, actually, there’s also a “Hollywood story” with them too
-Iron Sights 3: One Good Dog
-Another printing of Lost Souls, distributed solely as add-ons for his other campaigns
-Impossible Stars 2: Escape Pod
-And finally, some sort of “magical realism superhero story” with an old-school Marvel writer.

All of these are currently planned for this year. He also mentions plans for 2022 and 2023, though with much less detail.

With how his campaigns have been consistently getting less attention, and the bad publicity from dropping the lawsuit, I really don’t see this increased output being remotely sustainable at this point.

I think he is going the JDA route at this point. Putting out a whole bunch of books with no emphasis on quality.
