He's one of those speed runners that has a wife & kid, and at least mostly keeps himself out of slapfights in spite of doing videos on cheating in the community. He also can manage to make himself look like a relatively respectable member of society when needed, which is a skill few "professional" speed runners seem to possess. Probably the most odd thing I can think of he's done is that he used to do advice streams on Twitch, but even then he wasn't like doing some sort of PUA "playing the game" sort of advice; it was more common sense type of things like "perform basic hygiene" and "don't act like a retard".

He was also thought of being involved in the RWhiteGoose discord leak by some, since both of them go way back to the Goldeneye 007 speedrunning community and he was also a member of that server.
There were no leaks about him, but he tends to get pretty defensive when people bring that stuff up.

Still by far one of the most normal guys in the community I can think of as well.

Its kinda funny because Mitchell probably screwed him over from ever having a day in court. By making it super expensive for him. And now owns the rights to Apollos original busting video forever. I can't believe this case didn't have an effect on the guy. Knowing the Billy cheated in such an obvious case, and not being able to convince anybody unless you have another million more dollars.

I don't remember the exact quote, but Nick Rekieta on occasion has said he considers such settlements were his client is the mostly losing party, a win. So I guess Apollo won big time baby!

The main reason people were upset with Apollo regarding this situation was because he put out a video defending Goose but didn't mention in the video what Goose actually did or said, so it painted a misleading picture of the situation.

He's one of the oldest of the old school runners still active, going back to like 1999 or 2000 or so. Given that much time in the autism vortex that is speed running, he's pretty lacking in any significant drama.

Honestly the thing that suprises me the most is that Dark Viper was called out, the drama between him and Apollo was very little compared to him and other people

Perhaps. I didn't bother with finding out why, but apparently the Meyer v Waid lawsuit is dead, too. I am surprised by that one. I mean, to my legally untrained observation, that seemed like the most blatantly actionable tort on earth. How in the hell does anyone win a tort if a case where a fuckhead openly admits to putting the squeeze on your publisher fails to pan out? I would watch the Nick video on it, but I have the feeling he doesn't provide a satisfactory answer. Love the guy, but his videos seem to say less these days.

Why should I put irl time into completing an old ass copy of SMB just to comment on someone speedrunning his life expectancy?
