Yeah its an exponentially less lethal but significantly more transmissible sister species of SARS.
That's why they were so fucking wrong when they claimed that community spread & aerobic spread would be rare/unlikely, because they assumed this would act like SARS rather than its "common cold" (HKU-1 & OC43) sister species - but now almost one year later we which sister species its acting like.

My sister’s best friend went out with her mate and then made a Facebook post about it but then deleted it pretty soon after, presumably to avoid backlash from doomers. Cue a dinner table debate over whether they’re considered a valid bubble because said mate lives on her own and I was like “holy shit who cares” and then my mom was like “BUT HER DAD WORKS IN A CARE HOME” which obviously means that any of his family members doing anything fun will be the harbinger of the great granny genocide.

I’m so sick of this shit.

Apparently the US has surpassed 20 MILLION covid cases as of today. After this is over[if it does end] I want people to continue to count cases of illnesses like the common cold and hay fever this same way. I want an update every 3 days of the amount of people that went to the doctor cause they had a cold or needed steroids cause of allergies. If we're going to turn an ant hill into a mountain might as well go all the way

Yeah, people are retarded when they freak out about how many cases there are. Cases are always going to go up, forever. The only way you can bring the cases down is if you invent a time-machine and stop the Chinese from releasing the virus from that lab in WuHan.

If the stats presented on CNN are to be believed, then I'd say about a 16th of those 20 million cases have supposedly were killed by Corona chan.

In reply to this and your previous 50 posts saying the same thing, what are you even talking about? Everyone's trying to argue with you within your frame, saying that it's a hysteria event enabled by mass communication (which isn't incorrect), but your argument is specious to begin with.

The whole world is hunkering down? What does that mean exactly? Are you man on the street in Guatemala, because I talked to a beaner who was just there and he said everything's open and fine with sporadic token mask bullshit. Are you touring Eastern Europe right now? Because it's about the same there, with local variations, just mask totems and other for-show nonsense like earlier closing times at most. Asia? Well I don't know much about Asia but somehow I don't think the poor SEA countries "shut down" because they'd all immediately starve to death, and the rich ones have just donned their space helmets and "eliminated" the virus from what we're told.

The overreaction is almost entirely confined to the West, Europe and North America. Even within these areas, there are huge local variations. Nothing is closed in my state. No one is "hunkering down". There is mostly-unenforced mask bullshit and a bar curfew a few hours earlier than the norm. The same in other nearby states. Even within the same state or same country, you might have a city that enforces certain closures and actually cites unmasked heretics, while the nearby countryside is wide open with not a face rag in sight (most displeasing to Allah the merciful).

EDIT: I forgot about Africa because Africa sucks harder than you (though it has more of an excuse), but I'd love to know what "hunkering down" in a primitive free-for-all looks like. I'm sure the Nairobi police are out closing down the slums, and I'm sure that Congolese illiterates are checking CNN every 5 minutes and hiding in their huts. There's NO WAY some monkey in a suit said pleasing things to the media or Western leaders while failing to actually DO anything, right?

I'm not sure if this is true (and if we had actual journalists investigating, they could expose it) but it seems if a person tested positive before and tested positive again, it is counted as two cases. Much like how regular flu cases could be counted as positive cases, the numbers are inflated to keep the fear porn going.

It is possible for the virus to be real and capable of causing harm, which is fairly clear that it can, and also for the response to be wildly out of proportion to the harm it is capable of causing. The only consistent theme we get is that people at risk to die from communicable diseases already are likely to die from this one. What a shocker.

None of this justifies disastrous global shutdowns. Guidance on how to protect yourself, sure. It's the same damn guidance they give during flu season every fucking year with the addition of the mask.


Really though what first tipped me off earliest was that none of the politicians treated the supposedly life and death pandemic like a life and death pandemic the instant they would be forced to say things that might lose them votes, or when they themselves were personally inconvenienced.

They're just some idiot no more intellectually capable than you or I, the only difference is they have a team feeding them supposedly the latest and best information.

If their wholly average intellect informed by all that info doesn't think they need to follow their own rules or tell their political support base something they don't want to hear to further the cause of fighting a life or death pandemic...maybe it isn't actually a life or death pandemic? Just maybe. 🤔

Without PL'ing I'll say the NYE parties in my area were wild last night.

It would seem the majority of the population is either completely over this, still only wearing a mask/abiding by restrictions for appearances, and/or is mostly following rules for safety~ but also breaking them at opportune times.

The panic is definitely fading and it seems most of the people left in full masked quarantine are the wokescold types anyway who never leave their house as it is. It'll be very interesting to see what happens over the course of this year as the tolerance for this shit continues to go down.
