Craig Thompson / Mini Ladd / miniladdd - Child-grooming Youtuber and general creep, sent underage fans explicit content because he was "depressed"

What makes the least sense to me is when you have these young youtubers going after younger girls.

Like dude you're 21, there should be plenty of ez pussy available. Not only do you choose the sophomore who just got her license. You pick the one who likes youtubers.

Have you seen the average markeplier/jacksepticeye fangirl?
I was just thinking about that on the New Year today. Most YTers don’t have success with regular, normal looking women so they have to choose prepubescent teenage women who end up getting out of shape or find out that they too “Mental Disorder #134528” that they may or may not have self diagnosed on themselves.

I've also noticed something else about his videos since his return, too, which would be the declining quality of his thumbnails and titles.

Prior to the allegations against him coming out and his brief exodus from YouTube and America, the thumbnails and title were not very clickbaity, which is very much a testament to how fairly respected he was early in 2020, even after the drama that preceded that year.

And ever since his return...

absolute clickbait. they dont give you a real idea of what mini discusses or shows in any of these videos, which is now a testament to how far hes fallen in the span of just half a year.
Yeah, I mean, at the very least, just spend $30 and get Apollo Legend or somebody to-

oh, wait, nvm.

He, along with any other e-celeb who was caught grooming underage kids, probably were always sexually aroused by them. Once they attained a degree of success or fame, they seemed to get a lot careless about hiding it, and a lot more brazen at contacting and propositioning their victims.

It's not just content creators on YouTube. There are people like this everywhere in the entertainment industry. Some get too bold and get themselves caught, and others manage to keep it hidden, despite the rumors circulating about them on social media.
I think it's also accessibility too. I remember Chris Hansen talking about the kind of predators he encountered on TCAP in an interview he did with Opie and Anthony. In it he states that one of the types he would encounter would probably never engage in this sort of behavior had they no internet access (I'm guessing impulsive or having a lack of control). To be honest I get that impression more so from MiniLadd, mainly do to the closeness of ages, though as you said, it's still a willingness to be predatory despite the risks (that and I guess forgetting he's popular, so it was probably an invitablilty that it all came out).

It's actually kind of depressing because I also agree with what you said about those that are able to hide themselves and I think that applies quite a bit to YouTubers (specifically due to the large amount of kids that use it). I mentioned before that I think the only reason we hear about any of this stuff at all is only because of these individuals popularity (Pyro, LoinMaker, Austin Jones). Maybe YouTube should just periodically make certin channels popular just to see if they slip and pull this kinda shit, it can be YouTube's own TCAP.

Because in many IRL scenarios that shit can work. It can function kind of like Kevin Spacey's Gay Reverse card if the acting is good enough and the audience is sympathetic enough.
I don't think that "worked" for Spacey though. The LGBT advocates went apeshit, and they spent $10m reshooting all his scenes for All the Money in the World without him. Very expensive cancellation.

Something something white male. What this guy is. They'll eviscerate him.

A few years ago, I thought every youtuber accusing each other of being pedophiles was obnoxious and a problem but rethinking it, I kind of think they had the right idea. At this point, it's almost like there's a 50/50 chance any random youtuber has at least attempted to engage in sexual activities with minors.

I suggest everyone think of their favorite youtuber and then flip a coin, if it lands on heads then they fuck kids.

He's a child predator. He's a child predator. I'm a child predator. Are there any other child predators I should know about?

I am not surprised with my flips.

I was going to compare it to Hollywood, but I guess at the very least it seems (some) YouTubers have kept it to online sexual deviancy. Or maybe they are just caught before they take it to the next level.

Either way, MiniLadd really should have just dipped after his first apology considering he basically implied that the accusations were all true. I feel like all these creators that do fall into this stuff never seem to want to leave YouTube despite them always making it worse for themselves, all because YouTube is I guess a fun job? Doesn't seem worth it if your getting called a pedo every upload.

Actually, I am kinda curious what people think on this. Do you think if he had just done his initial apology and left when the accusations first came out he'd be better off? I ask because despite saying all that, there has to be a reason he's so desperate to mantain his career.

Many of the comments on the Youtube video are some iteration of "Discord moderator". Also at 95k/50k dislikes to likes now, which is nice since I saw some reporting it was 50/50.
All his videos start out at about 50/50 these days, then as time pass it keeps gaining more and more dislikes and mocking comments.
