Craig Thompson / Mini Ladd / miniladdd - Child-grooming Youtuber and general creep, sent underage fans explicit content because he was "depressed"

If you're a pedo-looking, desperately thirsty beta male and you know it, you won't go after hot and self-assured chicks who have better options, like full access to Chads and to any activity that doesn't involve being a terminally online shut-in.

You will go after the ones who are damaged enough to feel flattered by the attention of a professional vidya-playing manbaby, fat enough to welcome positive attention from a nonce-looking soyboy because otherwise they won't get any positive male attention, homely enough to make people question any accusations that will eventually pop up: "no way a girl this ugly was groomed/molested/etc, she's a lying whore" (I'm honestly surprised no one has said said that yet).

But yes, he could be cruising around his local middle school to find the same kind of girl. If he wasn't lazy and if he didn't have an internet career, that's probably what he'd be doing judging by his obvious kid-mongler mug.
These ugly dudes gotta learn to fuck with crazy chicks. Lots of chicks out there that are hot but say Hello by sizing you up for skinning. And they're universally desperate for male attention because any high-value guy decided long ago not to fuck with their bullshit. Learn to wrangle them, and you get hot legal pussy with just the slight risk of waking up with your penis bitten off.

He was living in the States at the time. He only just moved back to the UK when all this shit started to avoid charges. If he gets extradited, that would be just and amazing.
Generally, extradition requires that what you did was a crime in the country you're extradited from too. So you would never see an American extradited for First Amendment protected conduct. It would depend on how the UK would parse the legality here. For instance, if they view the crime as "soliciting sex from an underage person," they have that crime, too, and they'd extradite, but if they see it as "soliciting sex from a person under 16," they wouldn't. I think he solicited nudes, which would break some kind of law, and I'm pretty sure it would in the UK too.
While the age of consent for actual sex is 16, the age of consent for porn is 18, as is often the case in countries where the AOC itself is lower.

Contrary to the claims of nonces, a lower age of consent than 18 doesn't mean society actually approves of their shit, just that there are prosecutorial priorities.

The US can request extradition and the UK may grant it as a good-faith gesture. Just because sex with a 16 year old is legal there doesn't necessarily mean they don't recognize the illegal nature of his act under US law. Countries like to keep their international allies happy. And besides, the UK may decide they don't want to get the reputation as a pedo-haven. Similar to how Thailand is tightening laws against sex tourism because, while AOC is pretty fucking low there, the locals are tired of freaks from Japan and the US visiting just to fuck kids.

This, 100%. I know he sent "lewd" images to the minor, but I think a lot of the extradition talk is a stretch anyway. The solicitation of nudes seems to have occurred on Snapchat and mostly seems alluded to.

I've always understood the "they were underage in the jurisdiction where it occurred" rule is what they use, meaning extradition is technically possible. The US would go after them for "corruption of a minor" charges, and the UK has those charges, so even if the minor was 16 it wouldn't matter; they were underage in the US, where it occurred.

Personally, I'm way more interested in seeing his fans' reaction. I think that's where the real impact will be.

I watched his apology today and read the allegations, so I'm happy you made a thread about it.

Interesting points to make note of:
1. He confesses that everything said was true.
2. The video is titled "My Apology" but I don't think he ever apologized.
3. Blames EVERYTHING on him being depressed at the time and is very manipulative about it.
4. Allegations surfaced 6 months ago and he only now addressed them (probably because things got too hot?)
5. He outright mentions that he has a PR team that wrote the video script for him.
6. Hints that he broke with his PR team's advice to privately contact the two girls to apologize privately, which is a retarded thing to bring up in an apology.
7. His audience reaction (based on likes/dislikes) is 50% in favor of forgive and forget.

Basically he is a perfect archetype of a groomer YouTuber. Cherry picks young girls for Twitch mod positions, gets to know them, gets nudes from them.
Is he really a pedo or just a sleezeball? Like where the chicks under developed or just under age? Pop culture making tweens think whoreing is cool and making manchildren acceptable; situations like this have come up a lot in recent years. The kids wanna be cool and older, and the creeps are either legitimate pedos or just pathetic losers who can't get anything desirable their own age (i.e. The Gunt).
Is there a word for a dude like that? Who isn't an actual kiddy-diddler pedo but thinks it's acceptable to pursue physically developed but emotionally/mentally unmatured folks?

A loser? A predator? I know back in the day there were a bunch of guys who didn't really care about the girl's age as long as she was reasonably attractive and dtf.

That he actually did it when he was physically present in the United States and then fled the jurisdiction might also make a difference.

Allegedly, he returned to the states, but that flight definitely implies a desire to flee. Might be in TX: https://www.reddit.com/r/MiniLadd/comments/gy3zrz/back_in_texas/

That would throw extradition out the window, too. Curious to see it pan out. I didn't give a crap about this guy before but I think we'll see something big in the near future. If he pulls a Pyro, I'll be amazed.

If “cancel culture” was such an effective force, why couldn’t stuff like this be done? Why, instead, do we have to go after people that have nothing to do with the actions caused by people like this? This “believe all women” argument has done more damage to victims of stuff like this than actually doing damage to REAL perpetrators.

Stuff like this could have been avoided.

1:44 in the "apology" video - did he really just blame his continuous talking to an underage girl on having to keep up his Snapchat streaks? Christ

Followed immediately by "I didn't start flirting with her till she was 17, and I was 21, and that's not okay and I'm aware of that" but no "and I shouldn't have done that."

There could still be extradition, if anyone thinks what he did was serious enough. So far they haven't. Extradition from one state to another is a lot easier than internationally, though.
Especially Texas; afaik, they're one of those insanely strict states on this kind of thing, but it's not my specialty.

Not really, no, I'm pointing out that his thought process went from "I was only talking to her to keep up a Snapchat streak" to "I know that it was wrong of me to start flirting with her."
Just cherry picking his wording like he was cherry picking his fans
