Craig Thompson / Mini Ladd / miniladdd - Child-grooming Youtuber and general creep, sent underage fans explicit content because he was "depressed"

The only reason he's posting this apology now is because Pyrocynical managed to salvage his own YouTube career with his eloquently-made apology video, and Mini thought he could capitalize on the former's success in that regard and salvage his own career. The difference is that it took nearly two months for Pyro to own up and make the apology, whereas it took nearly half a year for Mini to do the same, and he already attempting to damage control some time before that.

I look back fondly on Mini's older videos and vlogs, but with the knowledge of who he really is and that he won't likely ever be forgiven for what he has done.

Considering that Pyro walked away relatively unscathed, with 90+% of his fans still supporting him and saying "he's proven innocent", despite the fact Pyro flat-out admitted to months of sexting with a 15yo boy while they both jerked off over the most degenerate furry fart-porn imaginable, i wouldn't be shocked if this Miniladd guy survives this too. I don't think the 2 months vs 6 months factor is a big deal- the fact that EITHER of them could afford to wait over a month before apologising, and still get mostly-positive responses from their viewers, just proves their audiences didn't see these events as a deal-breaker.

If fans see an e-celeb as being nice enough, or funny enough, or cool enough, they'll always find an excuse to dismiss whatever accusations they have against them. In the end (especially for e-celebs with a fanbase of mostly kids/teens) it's all just a popularity contest, and all the evidence, facts, admissions and witnesses in the world don't matter- The most important factor is how good the diddler is at looking into the camera, and pretending to be sincere and relatable.

I'm using OP and a general skim of the first page as a basis of what I'm about to say.

Age of consent in UK is 16. Yes he's in a position of influence but regardless. Nothing he did (again, only going by OP and 1st page) was illegal. It's seedy at most.

Unless he was in communication with these girls prior to them being 16. Then I do fail to see the issue here. Is there a law that specifies that sexual communication with someone between the ages of 16-18 by someone 18+ illegal in the UK?

Edit: After actually looking further than page 1, it appears the girls are from America. I have absolutely no idea how this is going to pan out. If everyone involved was from the UK then there' is no issue but because the recipients were American. Can he be extradited and sent to America to face good ol' 'murican justice?

I bet this thing happens all the time.

Then yes, he broke the law. Just being from the UK doesn't mean you import the laws of the UK when you come to the United States.
Make you wonder why he didn't just stay in the UK if he was into 16 year olds. It's probably the whole wanting to pop a teens cherry. There is a reason God didn't chose the UK as the birth place for Jesus, he couldn't find a virgin.

He was living in the States at the time. He only just moved back to the UK when all this shit started to avoid charges. If he gets extradited, that would be just and amazing.

This isn't necessarily a legal indictment. This is an adult man with an incredibly successful career, throwing it away by relying on teenage girls for emotional support, and manipulating them into sexual situations in a ludicrous way. This is a common trend with people in a position to develop parasocial relationships, like Youtubers. The legality is irrelevant; it's disturbing behavior, and now people can watch as one of two things will happen; his career will go up in flames, spectacularly, or his fans will somehow decide that they don't care about how much of a disturbing creep he is.

Some people find it worth watching, for whatever reason. That's the criteria, legality is mostly a consideration when speculating about the chances of Craig going to prison. I would venture to guess that the majority of people with threads on KF haven't been caught doing anything strictly illegal.

I blame the arrogance of man-children who think people would be interested in watching them playing video games. I also blame retards who actually do find enjoyment in watching man-children play video games, and fucking PAY them for doing it.

Anyways, I get wanting to have some engagement with fans, but don't be a faggot by talking to them about sex stuff (even if they're of age). Keep it light, like your favorite beer, how you like your steak, how the Joos are subverting our culture. You know, water cooler chit-chat.

He’s actually already had a major falling overall. He was demonetized on YouTube, lost any and all sponsorship deals he had since this whole thing started, and all his videos hover around a 50/50 to 70/30 dislike to like ratio. Even if he stays on YouTube, he’s already been hurt and hurt bad.

If this is the case then he should be eligible for deportation and tried in a US court? Like that American who committed a hit and run in the UK that resulted in death?

I too have the same opinion that this person is a creep. As I said, I thought that all involved in this were living in the UK and therefore nothing was actually weird about it. Now knowing that this all took place in the USA I understand why people are so upset about his actions.

Perhaps the OP should at least mention that the perpetrator and victims were all living in the US at the time. All that is stated is that miniladd is the 3rd most popular British youtuber. Also looking through the thread, it appears I wasn't the only one to assume that this all took place in Britain.

Not just his career but also the possibility of a happy life. His friends are all gone. Also he and his girlfriend broke up January of 2020. He claims they drifted apart, but it's hard to focus on your GF when you're chasing underage fans tbh. Maybe she found out? Who knows. She took their two dogs at least, thank god.

Well, to be fair, Pyro is seemingly doing far better than Mini at escaping his allegations, given he was still getting 1 million views per video and a good like-dislike ratio even after the allegations were first made, which is likely owed to the good quality of his videos, and that Pyro hadn't been involved in any serious drama prior.

Mini Ladd was pretty much on thin ice following all the drama that happened around him in late 2019 with Terroriser, and the many accusations of him being a liar and all, which resulted in 1 million views per videos becoming a rarity for him. People were seemingly already abandoning him even before the allegations against him broke out, which resulted in a mass exodus of subscribers, and 1 million views per video no longer being viable to him, unless if its a very special episode like his latest apology (which was somehow trending on YouTube for whatever reason). Not to mention, the quality of his videos seemed to take a massive dip after the allegations, if not maybe a little before everything else happened.

I added a few words to it for you. I'm not sure why we allow the UK to have its own laws.

I apologize if I was late, but didn't he play with VanossGaming?

Yeah, then had a tantrum over the gang and continued to moan about them to his horde of teen viewers like a little bitch. I don't know if anyone else saw this but he did actually seem to try and throw some of the ''Vanoss Gaming Crew'' under the bus by subtlely implying others in the group also had things to hide.

He never mentioned it again so I assume he realised what a bad move that was.
I imagine he thought himself to be above the rest of them despite his lack of personality and individualism. Say what you will of Youtube games but most of those guys each had their own thing going on. Craig was the most boring wanker with a huge ego and a habit of guilt tripping anyone and everyone with muh mental health.

He tried to fuck Brian (Terroriser) over too I think, guy isn't just a creep, he's a legit piece of shit.

Speaking of, there was evidence rereleased that showed he was being emotionally abusive to his girlfriend. A lot of very similar behavior, such as blaming his mental health and trying to guilt her over multiple things.
